IGotBored Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 So useally when i would hold Ctrl while clicking build bodyslide would build the Femalebody.nifs and send them to MO's overwrite folder then I could move them where i wanted mainly to a custom race but now when i hold Ctrl the .nifs are built but there not sent to the overwrite folder and i have no idea where they are. Anyone else have this problem and know how to fix it?
Uncle64 Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Perhaps they are in Bodyslide folder? They end up there if you forgot to press CTRL And you really should consider to remove the files from your overwrite and make one mod of the files in it.
Varithina Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Try checking in this directory ModOrganizer\mods\BodySlide and Outfit Studio - v4.2.3-49015-4-2-3\meshes\actors\character\character assets Though looking in the directory where you installed bodyslide to in your mod organizer install.
Bazinga Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 My guess would also be that either the battery on your keyboard is nearly empty (if you use a wireless one like me) or that there's some other reason why the Ctrl key presses don't register. Meaning you're saving the Bodyslide output to the folder holding the files that have priority. Whichever mod provides these body meshes and loads them last (see mod load order -> mod information by double click -> conflicts) is where the output files are now. Only stuff that's not already there in your virtual data folder or that already was inside your Overwrite folder (because the stuff in there overwrites everything else) will be saved to the Overwrite folder.
SirDuke Posted May 1, 2017 Posted May 1, 2017 Check your Virus/Firewall Programm, too. Some of them put created files from unknown programs into special quarantine. This can often be turned off, but sometimes it takes some time to notice. "Comodo Firewall" f.e. puts created files like this to "c:\VROOT\HarddiskVolume...
Nazzzgul666 Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 I had this once, i believe it was because i created a new folder from within bodyslide where it should save, and after that it always saved there. I'm not sure, though... at some point it started asking me again where to save, i really don't know what caused it to stop me asking or why it started again. It's possible that i deleted the created folder and that's the reason it asked me again. Btw, if you do that (creating a folder from bodyslide in MO->mods), you need to refresh MO to see that folder.
zniachtl Posted May 2, 2017 Posted May 2, 2017 There's a trick that works true wonders in Bodyslide: Specifying FIX fullpath of output directory in Settings, such as my destination, every BS generated stuff goes to: D:\Mod Organizer\mods\Override Bodyslide\ My "overwrite" only contains 6 files, and those don't count as files, they can't be read/interpreted by MO (filetype) such as: Override Bodyslide.lnk as well as O. Textures, O. SKSE, O. Logs, O. FNIS and generic Override.lnk mods/override is the generic "misc" that lands in Overwrite but I can't or am too lazy to assign, so it's the leftovers when FNIS, Wyrebash, blabla outputs been removed from Overwrite, such as racemenu presets I myself exported, Ima keep em seperate from Override SKSE folder though
IGotBored Posted May 4, 2017 Author Posted May 4, 2017 Still having problems. Making an output folder didn't help and still cant find the files. I'm only doing this for the custom race mod and if i want to change the bodies of followers. I just want it to get the same way it was before. I click build it builds the armor or body into the games data and if i click build while holding Ctrl it would produce the female nifs into Mod Organizers overwrite folder. I don't know what changed I've tried reinstalling bodyslide but that doesn't work.
