Nio HH problems (really better than HDT HH in functionality?)

Recommended Posts

I ve read many posts and only very few people had answers to problems related to Nioverride High Heels. I thought maybe we can collect issues we are having with Nioverride and maybe some people will be so friendly to offer some useful solutions.

Please note that the issues which are either not fixed with the "Nioverride High Heels fixes" http://www.loverslab.com/topic/53799-nioverride-high-heels-niovhh-fixes/ or are caused by that mod can be mentioned as well.

I ll make a start:

1) Horse riding bug

How it should look like:

2) Sex scenes start misligned or have missaligned transformation or endings (only when using the NioHH fixes). Without NioHH fixes the scenes work as intended (but as you will see in the following point, Niofixes is needed to fix some other issues that come with Nioverride HH). The character wount be sank into the ground as is in the screenshots. As an idea: maybe someone could write a script that deactivates NioHH fixes during SL animations if possible.

3) Swimming bug, character is too high out of the water (fixed with the NioHH fixes, but can sometimes reoccur)

4) Sitting bug (fixed by NioHH fixes)

Bug 3 and 4 are actually fixed for the most part with the NioHH fixes. But because of NioHH fixes seeming to mess up SL scenes, which then required manual fixing via SL hotkey (for each stage), makes using the fixes an issue on my side.

That's not a bug that is normal you will see that same thing with HDT high heels. This is because all animations were made for normal people of a normal height. When you wear high heels during animations it changes your height which is also what will happen in the animations as the heels will change your position in said animation. Either start the animation with no high heels on and then put them on once it starts leave them off get ready to adjust and save each animation stage for your new position or try the even actor height option in sexlab and see if that works. (Note even actor height option can blow up some creatures to super huge size).

I think I was unclear about the problem. The problem is that with HDT, the position of the character during sex, riding and sitting was ALWAYS as if the the character was bare feet. So the feet wearing heels were maybe sank in the ground, but the rest of the body behaved in an acceptable manner.

Also, HDTHH corrected the hight AUTOMATICALLY in case it was misplaced.

With Nio. SL scene for ex. start offset. Look at the screen shots, my character is within the falmer, or the schlong of the falmer is poking through her forehead. If I use HDTHH, the animations will allign fine. Note: I have the setting to clear high heel high activated in SL. Deactivating it with make HDTHH animation to be higher than they should. With Nio deactivating it is rather unpredictable, I ve had hight shift from low to high.

I am not sure if you have been playing the game as I do. But this is exactly the thing I am trying to avoid, thus the question if NioHH is really better in functionality ? It is doubtlessly better for performance (though I myself with a heavily modded 200+ mod Skyrim never had issues with it, only had to switch to NioHH because of DD), but it appears to have weaknesses in flexibility when players do something else than walk around in heels.

With HDTHH I never needed to unequip/equip or manually change anything (I remember once  I played almost half a playthrough without changing my outfit). Also, I tried realigning in SL as you have said. But to be honest, if you have over 10 sets of heels with many of them having a different hight, there is no use in realigning them manually, because SL will only save postions for each character and wont consider bare feet or different apparell. Right? Also consider I have over 500 animations..

HDT heels were just buggy with it only working roughly 3/4 the time. I've never had problems with NIO though. There is a quick checkbox option in the sexlab framework to clear heel height during animations. I've had some problems with perfect alignment but then animating in skyrim isn't perfect.

I know about that setting in SL and I have it enabled. The problem as I have mentioned above is that it conflicts with Nio HH fixes. That SL option is only of use if you arent having Nio HH fixes installed. With Nio HH fixes each animation you change suddenly misplaces your player far to low in the ground. Uninstalling Nio fixes on the other hand is not an option for Nio HH user because swiming and sitting animations are misplaced then.

We need someone who actually uses SL animations and Nio HH system to create a patch. It seems everyone having a solution or fix for this problems is oblivious of the the other existing problems just because he/she only uses a certain functionality and not the complete package.

There is one animation that Ashal hasn't fixed yet in the sexlab framework which forces you in the ground no matter what you do. Other animations shouldn't do that as far as I know.

Sadly, if you look at the upper screenshots, you see that other animations do the grounding when NioHHfixes is installed..

Thing is nio hh is included in recemenu so if you install hdt hh you have two systems installed, if your PC/load order can handle it is fine but if you want more stability stick with nio hh. It's not perfect and not many mods support it yet but at least it works off the bat, just don't go swimming or riding in heels. (I usually swim/ride in first person so it doesn't bother me).

For sitting you may try this http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53995/? I haven't tried it yet but it's made by the same guy that made hdt so it may be good.

Nah. No rinding and no swimming makes skyrim useless to me. With HDT HH I dont need to unequip stuff, I do everything with the heels I have and everything works good. Anyway, thanks for the insight :)

year after...

was anyone ever able to fix this?

I noticed it does allways with masturbation animations (any), even switching stages pushes my character deeper and deeper under ground. With duo animations, it does rarely.

When i turn off clear hh height in sexlab options, nio fixes sometimes lowers my character, sometimes not, usually its just blinking up down. Why nio fixes meddles into sexlab? Is there any way to edit it/fix it?

Swimming is problem too, it works only when i walk into water. When i jump (90perc times) it doesnt trigger at all.

So its tradeoff only! sitting fix with broken SL (only sometimes, some cases allways) with nio fixes, for opposite without nio fixes?

HDT HH so far has two problems, if i save in mid of SL scene, reload, hh height doesnt apply, i need to reequip shoes. And sometimes is slow, but thats totally not problem. But swimming is fine, sitting is fine, SL is fine too lol.

And another problem is, that it causes water reflection blinking bug sometimes, which is super annoying (when you change z axis, skyrim dumb engine bugs out water reflections - horse riding near water is just soo amazing bethesda).

Oh and horses, in both cases its just meh. Tiny bit solved by using princess horse animation, and some robust saddle, its bearable.

All in all, sad story, and there are NO nice shoes or clothing style boots without HH, i wouldnt mind at all, but none.

@btasqan Were you ever able to fix this? I have this issue right now and not sure what to do. Reading this topic makes it seem like I have to choose either proper alignment in animations OR fixes for sitting, swimming etc while wearing heels.

Right now it seems like I have to uninstall NIOVHH Fixes, which is a bit unfortunate considering the other stuff it fixes.

Hi

No. I was never able to fix the issues above. Everything I did always had a trade off which affected the way I play Skyrim. If you want to continue using Nioverride Heel System, you might need to uninstall NIOVHH fixes. This leaves your game vulnerable to the NIOvverride bugs though.

I went back to HDT High Heels and it is working fine so far. As for the saving issue during SL scenes, you will just need to disable autosave for midgameplay in your game settings (you can keep it on for loading screens and fast travel) and restrict yourself from manually saving at obove scenes.

The water reflection bug might depend on your ENB and water mod. I use ruffled feather and Realvision ENB. My water is crystal clear. Try those and remove any other ENB or water mods. If it doesnt help, then another mod is causing the issue. Btw I had that problem when I was using Worlds Dawn and Teleport Spell mod. I uninstalled Worlds Dawn and then I made a patch for the Teleport Spell mod and the issue disapeared.
