I'll just go ahead and post two of my favorites: This last one was actually added past the game's deadline, because they "wanted to give people goosebumps and make them cry" with a proper song, and once it was done they also decided to tweak the dialogue and the mission flow so it would go in sync with the music for greater effect. Oooh boy, did they succeed. 1 Link to post
ToJKa
Indeed they did. Assault Horizon was a pretty crappy AC game, but they did nail the music, including the epic final one in that too: Link to post
Doctor Cadaver
ULTRAAAAA COMBOOOOOO!!!!! Link to post

Doctor Cadaver
Impressive jazz covers of gaming classics. The Persona 5 cover for "Life Will Change" was my favorite. Link to post
ToJKa
Don't care much about the game, i was always more into Wipeout, but the music kicked ass Don't know where this popped into my mind. Spoiler Link to post
ToJKa
EDIT: Well Square-Enix is going after FF7 soundtrack with a vengeance, so the musics linked were Fires of Resistance idle and battle, and the full Airbuster boss music. They really nailed the music in FF7 remake. This was the one that made the biggest impression. Might've been because of the setting, though. Spoiler Spoiler Also, couldn't someone just make an infinite loop of 5:03 - 5:50 part 😛 Spoiler Link to post
ds64
yeah, it's been a year already, but they need 25 year to finally put 'the theme song' into their game. Link to post

ToJKa
One benefit of having no licensed music: you can make the lyrics relate to the story and underlying themes Damn Resist and Disorder has been playing in my head for weeks. Yes, i get it. Everything burns. Link to post
ToJKa
And now for something creepy yet awesome. Love listening this on the scene with people standing on rooftops looking at the tower and jumping off one by one. Link to post

Yes, i get it. Everything burns. I've more partial to The Rebel Path but otherwise, I agree on not burdening the soundtrack with pre-packaged pop that does not fit it any more than any other Hollywood blockbuster, Romantic comedy or afternoon drama show. ToJKa
Also, all of this tickles my eardrums in a quite pleasant matter. Especially Hollows, Skybound and Fath0m Link to post
Kitty
Seen some really good ones in here, but a little surprised no one has mentioned: Seriously. If you can't find some music in this you love, well.. you just don't like metal. Period. xD The above are the 20 songs actually composed FOR the game, but there's also over 100 unlockable ones, and they span from the dawn of metal up to the game's release, so something for old and new fans alike. Really, this is one of those games you can (mostly) ignore the game/story if you want (though it's fun too, with lots of good cameos from various metal icons) and just drive around like a lunatic unlocking songs and whatnot and running over everything you see. Not gonna post links since I'm sure most/all have already been mentioned, but obvious choices here would also be most of the Final Fantasy games, many of the Castlevania series, and Mass Effect.
