PsychoMachina Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 Hello Cloverz What you downloaded and installed is correct. The order of installation is correct. To remove the block texts ([][][]) you will need to install the translated files located in the PATCHES AND FIXES section. Now you will need to move this file last in the load order: ElinRace - Use Monli custom BBP body.esp Keeping this file last or at least after any other mods that affects pc or npc bodies will ensure there will be no conflictions. Deactivate this file if playing an Elin: Monli.esp I tend to keep the other Elin-related files together and towards the end, but prior to the custom BBP body ESP file. If you are still having problems with double-ears, in Character Creation, the FACIAL HAIRS slider contains extra ears and tails which is used when giving her non-Tera hairs. Move the slider to the left and the extra ears should be gone. Character Creation will have problems at first when using races that are shorter than adults. Leaving Character Creation then returning to it will fix the camera height because the race is not loaded into the game until after you choose it in Creation. So even if you did not add the camera fix to Skyrim.ini, the camera height would have corrected itself after you chose to play the Elin race.
PsychoMachina Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 hello sir... i have a problem i download Elin Race with DMRA body mod when she became ragdoll her foot twisted. i think something problem in SkeletonFemale.nif i hope you can solve it This is uncommon and an unexpected bug with ragdoll. Have you ever killed an npc and their body end in a kneeling pose with the body leaning back or twisted in some odd shape? It just the unexpected results of the ragdoll effect. Does she have permanent twisted feet or was it just this one time.

PsychoMachina Posted November 24, 2012 Author Posted November 24, 2012 @Zhylepia Try the other skeleton files that came with the CBBE BBP body pack. You might have better luck.
UNSF Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 Hello Since Mud brought up a topic about voice, I have been wandering if it is possible to request for an optional mod that reverts just the Dragon Shouts back to vanilla voices? Yes, I know that vanilla female adult voice doesn't really fit Elin But I think I can safely assume that there is no way we can find some girl who would volunteer to do a Elin Shout Voices mod >_< It's just that all shouts sound the same when used by Elin, which makes me wanting some variety...

[/quote'] It's possible to use the vanilla voice for the Shouts by removing the voice files for the shouts and edit the plugin so that it uses the vanilla voices. I have all 3 Elin voice mods available. 1) True Elin Voices. What I include with the main packs. Contains 2 files (BSA and ESP). 2) Elin Race Voice. This has a softer childs voice. The shouts don't sound like screeches. The voice files are unpacked. The video is the closest to what the voice sounds like. [video=youtube] 3) Elin Voice - NPC. This contains the Shout files + NPC voices, espcially bard songs and NPC dialogues. The voice files are unpacked. Just so everyone knows, this one is untested. It's not going to break the game, rather, I can't say what the voices sound like. Elin Voice Packs http://www.mediafire.com/?ie2o0rp75cxq4

Also, did you uninstall the Elin mods then reinstalled. If those options did not fix it, hopefully someone can shed some light on the actual cause.
Eyrika Posted November 24, 2012 Posted November 24, 2012 I haven't played Skyrim for awhile, nor have I visted LL, but I was so excited when I did and saw that someone was working on my dream mod: Castanic Race!! This is so awesome! Thank you for your hard work Though I was wondering - do you plan on trying to have their skin color and patterns from Tera and/or their hairs? That would be amazing. I used to have a model of a castanic female on my computer I might be able to find again for you if you think you could do anything with it.
Cloverz Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Excellent! thanks ^^ Everything seems smooth now. Are there any armor set patches that add a bunch of extra ones for this mod? I grabbed the one that converts all existing vanilla armor to CBBE, but grabbing some extras with something similar to immersive armors would make looting way more fun.
Mud Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 So you're saying' date=' you have problems with the game glitching with voice mods and not the mods themselves. If I come across a fix, I'll let you know.[/quote'] Not exactly. I'm saying this particular voice mod is acting funny for me. Other races play attack sounds just fine, but the Elin race plays no sound for normal attacks. I'm assuming other people are getting the voices just fine?

So far, no one else has mentioned the voice mods not working or missing voices. Since the voice files are packed and there are cases of people having problems with BSA, try extracting ElinVoice.bsa into the Data folder. Hopefully that will solve the problem. [/quote'] Hello Cloverz Glad to hear everything is working smoothly now. If you are interested in Tera armors, I have some links listed under Tera-Weapons and Armors. The armors from Tera Mod Collection is for CBBE and CBBE-CHSBHC. There are older Elin armor sets, but if you use them, you will likely get the dark head bug. There are also brand new Tera armors at Nexus, but they require UNP or UNP-BBP. The latest pack by Asianboy345 also has new Elin armors. Tera Armors - UNP-BBP by silver0236 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/22023 Tera Armmors - UNP (these include the new Elin armors) by asianboy345 http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/mods/25846/ I haven't played Skyrim for awhile' date=' nor have I visted LL, but I was so excited when I did and saw that someone was working on my dream mod: Castanic Race!! I'll be doing some updates for the Castanics and lsCastanics once I'm done with the Elins. Thank you for the offer, but I have some Castanic models (and Poporis, Aman, and Baraka) and once I know my way around Blender, I'll port the Castanic hairs and horns. Of course, I wouldn't turn down help from someone who has more experience.
Mud Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 So far' date=' no one else has mentioned the voice mods not working or missing voices. Since the voice files are packed and there are cases of people having problems with BSA, try extracting ElinVoice.bsa into the Data folder. Hopefully that will solve the problem.[/quote'] Nope, no dice, extracting them into the Data folder was how I was replacing them. But whether it's using the default extracted files, or replacing them with the voice files from the original Elin voice mod from before the race mod was made that replaced the FemaleEvenToned voice, or replacing them with a different voice mod's files entirely... normal attacks don't make any sound. I have no idea how to create voice mods, either, so I can't MacGuyver a quickfix like I usually do for random mod problems. Whatever the cause is, I'm doing a fresh install of Skyrim, so maybe I'll find the culprit along the way - the voice is properly playing at the moment, so when I install something and it disappears, I'll know. EDIT: FOUND IT! It wasn't related to the Elin mod at all, it affected all races. Somehow, it's the quest mod "A Friend of Time"... after saving with this mod active, all future saves lose their audio for normal attacks... how the hell does that work?!
PsychoMachina Posted November 27, 2012 Author Posted November 27, 2012 Uploaded PART 1 of the Elin race updates. PART 1 consist of: - Simplified main race pack (does not contain other race files, i.e. Monli or CotS). - Provided a fix for the CBBE Slim Flat body. - Minor touch-up of UNP complexions #1 and #2 to eliminate the dark face. - Dawnguard-compatible + Skyrim v1.8 updates for those with Dawnguard. - Skyrim v1.8 only update for those who do not have Dawnguard. - Summon Elin Ring v2 - 'Wolf Ring'. These do not contain any add-ons as the previous packs. I'll be providing a separate Add-ons pack. <<<<<<<<<<---+--->>>>>>>>>> @Mud I don't know, I don't have that mod. Strange, yet not surprised.
maosama013 Posted November 27, 2012 Posted November 27, 2012 ahh i just re-installed skyrim because of the new upcoming dlc. and i must say in a few couple of months this project is turning quite good. it's nice to see some good race mods.

(Do not use for her body UNP or CBBE.) especially for Summon Elin Ring.
kevodanh Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 I have some issues with the face texture . Is this normal ?
PsychoMachina Posted November 28, 2012 Author Posted November 28, 2012 @TDA You can, just use the main race pack. @Kevodanh That is not normal, but it happens to some people. I happened to me before with one of the body replacers on my Nord. I don't remember what I did to fix it, though. Does this happen with the other bodies and/or textures? Edit: What is your game setting? I can run Skyrim on Ultra High and so far have not encountered any problems such as yours. On my previous computer, I could only run it on High with AA turned off and some settings on medium and I experienced the occasional texture problems.

Wait a few seconds because all of the data for the Elin race is being loaded. I know the problem is with Apachii hairs and the new Elin (Apachii) hairs patch. I have a fairly powerful computer so it will take me about 5-8 seconds. Afterwards, using character creation should be faster. If you have a slower computer, wait about 10-12 seconds. The freezing will always happen the first time. Just be patient.
Facebrain Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Hiya, thanks so much for this mod! took a while to get it working but aside from an unreliable showracemenu it works great! And I love the thuum shout, reminds me of my berzerker tera took my name from *sad* Anyway I do have one issue, it being I went to the winterhold arcaenium and.. then a lot of other places in winterhold, and I appear to have no elin followers! This makes me very, very sad. Is there a pack that adds a few of them in? the NPCs and enemies pack seems a little extreme for that purpose. Could if have something to do with my race name being a pile of untranslated blocks? Anyway I hope there is some advice for a workaround? (my knowledge is limited)

(my knowledge is limited) [/quote'] Which Elin race pack are you using? If it is the latest update, the Elin mage followers are not included. I'm going to update all of the add-ons and upload them at once. However, you can still use the followers. http://www.mediafire.com/download.php?tq7r659togge848 Are you using the Skyrim v1.8 update or the Skryim v1.8 + Dawnguard update? If so and you are still seeing block texts then I'll have to look into this. I don't know why because I'm using the v1.8+Dawnguard update and I don't see any block texts. If you are using the older version of the Elin race then you will need these translations. http://www.mediafire.com/?vqd6jnncbbahe
Facebrain Posted November 28, 2012 Posted November 28, 2012 Thanks for the reply! If they're not included anymore at least I'm not crazy (or at least there is less evidence) for not seeing them there. I was using the 1.8 since I don't have dawnguard, but if so, is the 1.8+dawnguard pack compatible with out the DG addon? I would guess not but never hurts to ask. In the meantime I'll try the followers one you gave me after applying the translations

Races need to be updated to the latest Skyrim update and DLC to ensure that it includes any new scripts and animations. I'm updating the add-ons so that it uses the new Elin master file and reduce possible compatibility issues.
