Hey all, just curious.  Has anyone attempted to make any animations for the centaurs?  I just want to know if the FNIS patch is working and if it allows for people to add there own animations in as well as the ones I've already created.  Also curious if anyone has tried making different kinds of centaurs.  Or are you all just waiting for me to finish the mod?  That is understandable, if that's the case.

well...at least you don't have a resting heart rate of 87 (i hope)

Yeah, my heart rate kind of goes all over the place.  But no, usually my resting heart rate is about 70-80.

 

On the update front, I just finished making the last of the sneak animations, a new version of the centaur horse half that will drastically smooth out the join between the halves.  So, if spike is ready, we should be releasing an update to the mod within the next week or so.

Okay, I have an update, but it isn't exactly for the centaurs.  After finishing the sneak animations, I decided to work on another project for a while(I need variety or I get stagnat).  Anyway, I created a custom Havok project for the Gorgon/Tsaesci called simple snake people.  Anyway, I made up a test race for it and it works beautifully.  Now, I can animate the snake tails for sitting, swimming, horseback riding, and laying down.  And coupled with the HDT physics on the tail, it'll look great.  That is still a lot of animations to make, but not nearly as many as I've had to make with the centaurs.

 

Also, haven't fully investiaged it yet, but it plays the vanilla intro perfectly, which makes me think that I must have missed something in setting up the centaurs behavior tree.  If we are really lucky, I'll be able to figure it out in the next few days.

GOD I wish this had a Sos addon ;)

If you want it, make it.  I won't be - I'm more interested in functionality.  But there is no reason that you or someone else couldn't make that add on.

Yep, XenoDrake is right.  But that video is the work of the very talented Mihailmods.  It is not a playable race.  In fact, I made a very similar creature over a year ago, but since it didn't work the way I wanted it to, I left it as a resource.

I'm pretty sure I didn't see this on the video with the female, but why does it look like the Giant human part of the body (male in this video) was scaled up until it somewhat matches the seams on the horse instead of manually fixing and blending them in a 3d modeling program? It looks pretty awkward and more front heavy than it should be, even with a horse body.

I am not connected with this mod.  It is not the playable centaur race mod, this is a creature mod by the talented Mihailmods.  I do personally feel that the human half has been scaled up too much, but again, not my mod, so I have no say in the mater.

that one looks like it's just using the stock boar rider animations, so that is most likely limiting what the upper body size can be anyways.
