sadly, that is a built-in-feature (not to say a serious bug in programming) from bethesda... you won't see really changes if you are using saves with used (but deleted, changed mods), since the old informationes are stored inside the save(s). So you have to start a new game or have an (early) save without the mods you had installed after (and going back to that point) before you are able to see, what is changed or working up to this point

That is not necessarily the case.

 

As a rule, pretty much anything attached to a Quest is frozen and part of a save, but there are ways around that. For example, I am able to keep building and changing my mods and I rarely have to go back and create a new character.

 

When mods introduce changes that request a fresh start, it is often because they don't have a choice or they could possibly have avoided it and didn't know how. I have been guilty on both accounts many times :)

 

In the case of the pheronome effect, that is more likely a bug I introduced when working on the Chaurus Queen stages that broke the potion from earlier stages. I will know more about that when I do my tests tonight. I already created a fresh start with Lastelle and it is ready to go.

If you have the Queen's powers, you should have a Seed Calm power, and a Seed Mating power that should make the potions obsolete.

 

I'm still in the quest, but the powers did show up. Reading earlier posts, I see I'm not alone in having the minions spawn on fast travel and the pharamones not function.  I might be oblivious but where the patches I see mentioned? I'm not seeing a download option when I used the links.

 

The powers also didn't work either.

i cant the chaurus armor on? even through the mcm or when i try to equip it by giving myself the armor. So im stuck in front of the elders asking me to put on the mask and the armor. Pls help ^^

If the Elder Roots are asking you to put the armor on, you should have two Powers in your list of spells - Chaurus Mask and Chaurus Armor.

 

Are they in your list of Powers?

 

One thing to note... these powers need Chaurus Eggs to work. 

I placed a few egg sacks in the cave with the Elders to make it easier but any chaurus eggs will do.

 

You will need 3 eggs for the armor and 1 egg for the mask.

Hi guys. I know this has been place in the issues section on GitHub but I'm hoping there is a work around that I don't know about.

 

I'm playing Chapter 1: The Brood Maiden and everything seems to be working fine but then the Pheromone spell doesn't seem to do anything when I drink it.

When my character goes down from combat and I do the bleed out, I'm then able to talk to the chaurus stud who screeches before following me.  

But the quest doesn't update and Lastelle doesn't accept a chaurus stud follower.

 

I have cursed loot and thats causing my character to do the rape surrender witch is maybe why I'm able to activate talk to the chaurus after I bleed out. I'm not sure and any help or pointers into fixing it would be appreciated.

Q1.

 

I've got an existing game with all your mods except Alicia in it.

I intend to update SD+ to start with, as I think it's not impossible the creature skeletons could be randomly crashing my game.

 

If I update everything to latest, is something unpleasant going to happen due to the move of the brood queen content to Parasites?

Or is that intended to be upgrade safe?

 

 

 

Q2.

 

My character has barnacles and has had them now for a couple of weeks game time.

She hasn't spent much time in a dungeon in that period, certainly hasn't slept in one.

Is that normal?

Should the barnacles have fallen off by now?

(That's in the previous release code-base).

Is Danica simply lying when she says they will fall off?

The pheromone potion isn't working properly at the moment. I should have an update out tomorrow to address this issue.

I can't promise there will not be issues but I try my best to allow upgrades in flight since this is how I build and test my games. 

What I can say is that I did not have to restart my game or start a new character during all the time I worked on this update.

If you live on the edge, I updated Github with my latest fixes. The pheromone potion and hand off of the chaurus to Lastelle seem to be working.

I ran into an issue with some other mod I have which sends Lastelle back to Morthal in the Jarl's hall... I suppose because it is cold and she is naked.

I tried to improve her AI packages to prevent that but she keeps running away... so I added a feature that brings her back to the camp if you sleep by the cooking pot.

I guess you could give her a slot-32 FF item that adds a lot of warmth and swaps in a nude-suit, which might solve one part of it at the root?

Thanks. I don't expect promises :) As it's not strongly advised against, I'll give it a try.

Not related, just wanted to point out that there is a "bug" or problem with the new version of SL Parasites.

 

I started a whole new game and started noticing that for some reason, my character was spawning far from any door or cell entrances after loading into it, so for example entering an Inn my character would load in the middle of the room instead of near the entrance, I started looking on the internet to see if anyone else had the problem and solved it already, then found this:

"Seems like I didn't put a patch on and some flying mods was messing it up"

 

I don't like flying mods, so I have never ever even tried to use one, then I remembered that this mod just introduced flying for some armors, did the check up by removing the latest version of this mod and going back to the previous one, and it fixed it,  I have no idea why or how the flying mods work at all, so they maybe require some cell changes that make that weird annoyance happen, whatever is the case I hope this information is useful somehow.

I'm sorry if this has been asked recently (I've only gone back a few pages in this thread), but is there a more recent version for SE than the 2020-03-29 one? Or will the LE version work?

I tested out the new version you put up on your github, pheromones work again with chaurus studs and normal ones, and the quest with Lastelle progresses now! Thank you for your tired less work on this!

Don't know if you meant for this to happen but the hagraven at orphan rock that you have to kill to retrieve the nettlebane is now friendly and not hostile,,, I mean it's fine in my opinion because it makes her easier to kill...

 

Basically all the usually hostile creatures at orphan rock are friendly now

I did notice the same issue and I am looking for a solution. 

 

That cannot be the flying mods compatibility as all I am doing is detecting potions from there mods and applying them directly. If you don't have a flying mod installed, that shouldn't impact you.

 

There is also a possible issue with some follower frameworks. Basically, the game teleports you further away from the door to make room for your followers. 

 

I am using EFF and I haven't been able to solve it yet.

 

Question for you: Is it happening to you before or after you get the Chaurus Queen powers?

At which stage of the quest  were you when it started happening?

Yeah, now thinking about it if it makes chaurus friendly when you have one on I wouldn't doubt other hostiles would be friendly with it too

I haven't even interacted with SL Parasites at all just started a new game , went to an inn and right away I noticed something was wrong, went out, it happened again and tested it on different buildings and different cities, the same, then just when out to check what mods I updated recently and look for info of the issue on the net.

 

So basically just by having the esp on, is causing it for some reason, at least on my end, i don't know if it is a particular incompatibility with my setup.

That's very strange.

 

I started a new test game yesterday and the issue is not happening, but it is happening with my more advanced test game at the end of the Chaurus Queen quest.

 

So far, my research pointed at two possible sources for the problem:

 

1- a Havok physics glitch for people with monitors at high frequency (140Hz) or with games running above 60fps. I applied a havok SKSE patch and capped my framerate at 50fps and it is still happening, so that's not it for me.

 

2- an issue of forced spacing going out through doors when you have multiple followers. That one would make sense since the spawns are added with a follower package. But that would really make sense only after you create followers and summon them. I tried lowering the distance between followers at doors in EFF as well as the number of followers, but that didn't help either.

 

Still researching...

ahhh I ran into this problem my self just now, there's no spell added to my character to be able to put on the armor. 

After I gather eggs I still don't have the power to put on the armor...

 

Also another thing I noticed is that when you the skin gets put on you it spawns 2 of those little grabby arms on my character, its not game breaking but there's just an over lap... I could get Danica to remove them by asking her but it just removed one of them,,,, but after that I found out I could just go in my inventory and remove the skin without any eggs,, it just lets me unlock it without anything.

 

1 question though regarding the armor, the texture causes a notable neck seam on my character, is there any way to easily fix it without having to edit the texture or is it just going to be stuck like that...

the wrists also have a seam but its not as bad as the neck. 

I'm using the fair skin texture pack.

I’m wondering what to do after the seed stone is put in the character. I saw on the walkthrough page that you have to fuk a spider then wait a few days, but do you have to do that without Any quest saying it? Also how many days do you have to wait?

That's variable.. a few days of active gameplay maybe (not wait or sleep time). 

 

You need to experience two types of effect: one vaginal and one across your skin.

Once you have experienced both, a quest stage should popup and direct you to talk to Danica.
