xboronx Posted September 19, 2016 Posted September 19, 2016 You can ignore everything in whoremaster, it is open ended. I ignore the missions. Catacombs are meant to be populated by monster girls, this is a possible girl setting when creating/modding a girl with the editor. So the girls you get from there should be unique. Also many special items you can only get from the catacombs. Basically think of playing lightning warrior Raidy when going to catacombs Feeding poor or community service in the community center building increase disposition. Simply being evil is much easier. A few jobs can only done by free girls and iirc in the forum occasionally this has been critized by users too that the evil route is too good, so maybe this gets changed too. I usually only use free girls and grant them decent living conditions, you still make profit this way but it is more balanced. If you just set anybody to minimal living conditions and enslave them it is just boring money maxing.
MadGenuis Posted September 20, 2016 Author Posted September 20, 2016 Oh wow, using the positions at the community center really makes a ridiculous difference in Whoremaster. I'm still slightly confused as to what actually lowers disposition towards evil (in my most recent game I tried to avoid all activities I thought seemed even remotely evil, the only dubious thing I did being to acquire more territories (which is necessary to expand, too) and yet my disposition still managed to fall to "mean"), but after some testing it seems as though sending one's gangs into the catacombs - even if they kidnap moster girls - doesn't. I'll have to agree with you on the matter of the difficulty, though. My first game failed horrendously because I quite frankly had no idea what I was doing, got my gangs (which I realized I needed way too late) wiped out too often and had such consistent monetary losses that I actually game over'ed. My second try was when I realized the overpoweredness of heal potions in gang management, but overall that one went a bit too smoothly and evilly for my tastes; my disposition actually came as far as reading "evil". Finally, in this most recent game, things went smoothly right from the start; even the objectives this time around seemed to be heavily in favor of me succeeding at being good ("acquire X non-human girls" twice, "acquire X girls in Y weeks" once, "obtain a girl from the catacombs" once and "steal X gold in Y weeks" once, the latter being the only one necessitating evil, but with a time-limit that allowed me to ignore it until it was replaced), and every girl not bought as a slave is kept free and well-treated. My gangs are ridiculously powerful, and... yeah, really, it's incredibly easy. I'm not doing anything to lower expenses or maximize income (actually have a bunch of girls just sitting around doing nothing because I was trying to collect a crew for creating movies), yet I still got to 1.5 million gold and climbing stupidly fast. (I'm also slightly disappointed that none of my character's daughters have come to work for him yet... I was looking forward to that.) I also tried Free Cities a bit, and... uh... wow. I like how intricate it seems and how varied the mechanics involved are, but holy shit it's confusing. I would be pretty lost if it didn't have it's built-in glossary, and even with that I feel a little overwhelmed by the things I don't understand. The fact that it's text-based doesn't bother me at all (as mentioned I quite enjoy reading), and I think that once I figure out how the heck to actually play it, it might be fun. At the moment my main frustration comes from the fact that I have no idea how to actually get my slaves (also bothers me a little that they have to be slaves, but that's beside the point) to like me - that is, to increase their devotion to me. I treat them as well as I possibly can, yet their devotion only seems to lower. On a different note, I can't help bit to feel a little amused at my own reaction to some of the help offered by the game itself. How to play? Click. Ah, great, so everything is color-coded for easy comprehension! I really wish I wasn't color-blind... Oh, First game guide? Click. "Choose these particular options for the easiest time..." Screw that, I'm picking anything but those! ...I'm a strange, strange person.
Guest EV0003 Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 Scale Garden's RPG Maker games. Sangeki no Gear and Rhodes Fortress in particular as both feature full English Translations. I don't suppose you could link me the full translated versions of these two games? I've been searching for them for an hour now and going mad lol.
Thickthighsmallfeet Posted September 21, 2016 Posted September 21, 2016 The usual suspects for translations are hongfire or ulmf.org. ulmf probably has more in RPG Maker and wolfrpg engine games. For both of these, the translations are on available on ulmf. I don't currently have the files but you can usually find it in the thread itself or ask for a new link if the DL is down. MadGenuis Posted September 22, 2016 Author Posted September 22, 2016 A year and a half into Free Cities, having struggled my way to having a bunch of good, loyal slaves and (for shits and giggles, mostly) deciding to impregnate half of them... and when the time draws near for them to give birth, the game just starts looping the birthing-scenes endlessly, actually just ending the game for me? I was actually enjoying that game a lot, too, so it really sucks that I encountered a game-ending glitch like that... oh well. That aside, is there any point whatsoever in giving the player character female attributes? I mean, I tried doing a restart after the bug happening and made the character female this time, but I have yet to see the character actually use its girl-parts for anything... The scenes are pretty much the same as with the male character, only the female one uses a strap-on instead of an actual penis. Even a slave with a penis doesn't get the option of doing anything to a female player character. Or have I just not encountered that content yet? Eh, been spending a lot of time on Free Cities since last I reported my thoughts (as I said I actually found it fairly enjoyable) so I haven't progressed a whole lot on much else. I kind of want to continue with Rhode's Fortress, but... it's sort of really boring at the moment. I mean, I appreciate character-building as much as the next guy, but there isn't actually happening anything. Hopefully it will get better soon. Also progressed just several weeks further in Whoremaster, and my character's daughters finally started showing up! Heh. Not, eh... not really as exciting as I had hoped it would be. Still, there's some novelty to it.
MadGenuis Posted October 11, 2016 Author Posted October 11, 2016 It's been a little while since I wrote here last, not only because I went through a period during which I did not have the time, desire or chance to actually delve into games of this genre too much, but also because I wanted to have something a bit more substantial to report than last time. And just for the record I am still looking for adult games, currently with special emphasis on the adult content therein being to my liking. I continued to play Free Cities some after the game was updated in such a way that the birthing-scenes no longer caused the endless loop and for the most part I still rather enjoyed it; even came close to losing at one point during an economic war with another arcology, with the prosperity of my arcology dropping dangerously low and my having to spend nearly all of my (substantial) reserves of cash to get the upper hand, and it actually felt like an accomplishment when the rival arcology surrendered. It felt as though I had actually been faced with a challenge and managed to overcome it, and I was having a grand time with it! That seems to have been the peak of what that game has to offer in terms of challenge, however, as since then it has pretty much just been an exercise in accumulating greater and greater wealth and amassing a harem of slaves; I have played it so much that even the random events have started repeating to the point where even things I once thought was incredibly arousing (such as the twins selling themselves to you; that one was made all the more amazing when those twins then fell in love and got married. I loved that. I have since been offered another three or four pairs of twins like that, though) are barely interesting anymore because they are still fresh in my memory (this is the weakness of text-based games, regrettably; with other kinds of games one would at least still have pictures/animations and maybe even sound to entertain you). It's a pretty nice game once you figure out how to do things and the slaves don't seem reluctant anymore, but I'm afraid that it's starting to get old already. Then I got my hands on Girl Life, since it seemed like people had fairly high praise for that game. It... took some patience to get into, perhaps especially since I picked the "cursed schoolgirl" premise (the story of that premise didn't take long to figure out, of course; I was pretty much clued in the second a Japanese-sounding word suddenly showed up in an otherwise Russian game, and it only took a quick Google of said Japanese word for me to facepalm at the realization of what they had tried to do). There isn't any particular challenge to it, as far as I can tell, and while there does seem to be a fairly extensive amount of text-based content spread around, a lot of it feels a bit odd to access... at least without turning one's character into a slut. My character also inexplicably turned into a complete submissive (in hindsight probably a consequence of my trying to pervert the relationship of my character and her brother) which appears to have locked away some other content... how does one become more dominant in that game? Just out of curiosity, if any of you know. It's pretty monotonous, though, and contains an amount of repetition that is almost tedious. Very much sometimes-food, this game. What else... tried downloading Jack-o-nine-tails since I somewhat enjoyed the other brothel-management games (contrary to what I expected) and was pretty much immediately put off by the warning at startup, specifically the mention of "extreme violence", which is not something I want to see in my adult games. I still gave it a chance, though, but while the game seems to have some pretty intricate and interesting mechanics, I don't like the fact that you have to sell your girls in this. It isn't a brothel-management game, is what I discovered, but a slave-training game in which the sole purpose of training them is to sell them. I enjoy some emotional attachment (as well as not having to be mean to my prospective partners) so this game was not for me. I stumbled upon a game called Sakura Dungeon on my own, too, which I tried. I was pretty happy with the progression in difficulty and the fact that it didn't require tedious grinding, but then around floor twelve or so I encountered a difficulty-spike that completely stopped me in my tracks, broke my flow and made me lose interest. I'm pretty okay with combat in that game including the breaking of clothes/armor and the adult scenes were mostly pretty nice, but what ruined it for me is that there doesn't seem to be any way to repeat these scenes. Combine this with how far-between the adult scenes are, and the game basically failed to retain my interest with every individual aspect of it. Finally, I read about Sengoku Rance, since it was one of the first games recommended for me, but stopped myself before I got past learning about it. Basically I was encouraged by how positive people seemed to be about the gameplay and challenge involved in that game, but then went on to read about the adult content in there. Eh... it's all rape, from what I learned. Heartless, cruel, irredeemable rape and humiliation. No thank you. I, eh... I think that sums up my experiences since last update. As I mentioned in the topmost paragraph I'm still looking for adult games, but at the moment I think I prioritize adult content over gameplay, in case such a change in criteria might produce some new results. If you were to disregard quality of gameplay and story, what recommendations would you give me purely based on my preferences in terms of adult content (mentioned in the first post of the thread)? No holds barred, throw visual novels and dating sims at me if those have content to my (perhaps unusually romantic, though perverted) tastes.
sen4mi Posted October 14, 2016 Posted October 14, 2016 If you do not mind buying a vn, I have heard good things about lady killer in a bind (ladykillerinabind dot com). I have not tried it, myself though. Same author that did hate plus but not a sequel to that series.
Kevsmart Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 Girl Life does tend toward submissive (there is more sub content and triggers). You can raise your dom easily through the psychiatrist or kickboxing in the city gym, but most of the time it goes up through telling people to leave you alone or taking control of a situation (the option to 'remove his/her hands' almost always gives a little dom). The awful Naruto plot is finally being removed and we have a whole new magical world to introduce the player to, it will add more combat (that system is being re-worked) and as with everything in the game, sexy times. Much of the grind-y stuff can be turned off in the cheatmenu (you can access it with the settings icon on your phone), so you can play as a full realistic life-sim or turn off a whole range of things and alter settings on many others (you can break some quests from playing with the time / date).
Myster Posted October 15, 2016 Posted October 15, 2016 You could try my games, there are 5 out there, none COMPLETELY FINISHED, but you might like one of them: https://mysterfulgames.blogspot.com
MadGenuis Posted October 15, 2016 Author Posted October 15, 2016 Sorry for not reacting to your addressing me here, but I haven't actually been able to connect to LoversLab at all for the past couple of days... an issue that, from a look a the section for technical support, appears not to be exclusive to me. Ah, but it seems to have improved now, at least. I see about Girl Life. I don't really mind playing a submissive character and would probably happily just accept the development, had it not been for the fact that her submissiveness appears to make her somewhat too complacent with what others ask her to do without seeking my permission to do so. (Example: On a save where I was actually trying to preserve my character's hymen for a special occasion (whatever that might be, preferably a scene that acknowledges the loss of virginity at the very least) I went to watch porn with the brother and his friends for the easy boost to full arousal, having established the fact that she would give everyone a blowjob without giving me a chance to refuse at this point. Afterward, however, I encounter a scene with the brother just casually asking my character to bend over, taking her virginity (without as much as a word in recognition of this) on the spot, still without letting me stop it. Don't get me wrong, I think it was hot as hell, but high submissiveness appears to potentially figuratively (heck, maybe even literally) bite you in the ass.) That, and I read that one can access erotic content with Natasha (or something similar; the one that borrows money) if you're dominant, and I kind of wanted that. Always nice with a little extra lesbian action, especially since the sister apparently doesn't want to fool around anymore and the fact that Julia appears to have just one infinitely repeating scene that's not at all worth all the wine I threw at her. The bit about the removal of the Naruto-storyline and more magical content sounds intriguing, I think. Is that content available in the dev build or is it just something that'll be released sometime soon? I haven't heard about Hate Plus or Lady Killer in a Bind, but I have to say that even just the names of those VNs make me slightly wary of them... and when the sights that meet me upon visiting the page of the latter VN is various images of (it seemed) exclusively men in bondage, drag and/or various states of undress, I admit I that I get extra cautious of them and recoil from the idea of even touching them without any more in-depth idea that they might, contrary to my first impressions, be to my tastes. I, eh... I don't think they are, though. I took a quick gander at your blog for the time being, Myster, and I'd say that you have at least gained my sincere interest through the frequent recurrence of incest as a main theme of them; that is one feature that is guaranteed to get my attention. I may take a closer look at some of those, thank you for the suggestion. In the meantime I've tried to get Abandoned: A Tale of Forgotten Lives to work but for some reason appear to have failed miserably... For whatever reason the game goes straight to a "you have reached the end of the game"-screen or something of the sort, with some kind of quest-test message in the middle of the screen, and with the game refusing to start a new game, saving or loading. I downloaded Adventurous Monster Breeder, and it eh... I deleted it pretty soon after. Don't get me wrong, it probably has potential, but it's just in such a ridiculously early stage of development that I don't even think it qualifies as a game. In fact I don't think it qualifies as anything, currently. Might be worth checking up on in a few months, but right now it has practically no content and barely any functionality. Then I got my hands of Collars, but haven't actually delved into it a whole lot, partially because I ran into so many in-development walls within the first several minutes of playing that it kind of killed my drive to explore the game. Plus, I'm not really a fan of the art-style for the sprites... not the one's I've seen thus far, at least. And finally, as the most kind-of-a-success experience in this batch of exploration of adult games, I found and tried a text-based game called Nimin, which reminds me of Corruption of Champions in a lot of ways, which is almost always a good sign as far as I am concerned. It lacks a story, deeper/broader combat mechanics and most of the more inhuman transformations of CoC (and it lacks incest, which is a shame), but (generously) features pregnancy, lactation and various acts that aren't possible in CoC due to the more liberal options in regards to transforming one's existing features. Examples include that you, in addition to being able to have multiple penises (which is also possible in CoC), here can have multiple vaginas, and that you can increase the depth of those vaginas pretty much limitlessly (potentially so much so that the character's vaginal cavity (or cavities) becomes so big that its belly starts bulging from it. I encountered one event therein that featured an NPC with a ludicrously huge vagina that could unbirth my character and, when I helped that NPC grow her vagina even bigger, enabled her to unbirth my character and another NPC at the same time, the two of which then proceeded to have sex inside the first NPC's womb. After I grew my own character's vagina pretty stupidly deep and I tried this scene again, however, the result was that my character first crawled into the NPC's womb, then the second NPC tried to follow my character... and apparently accidentally unbirthed himself into my character's womb. Kinky shit, this). So yeah, I'd recommend that anyone that tried and approved of CoC give Nimin a try!
Kevsmart Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 More on Girl Life: The sub/dom thing is going to end in 0.6.0 version as it will be replaced with willpower and the PC will have a pool to draw from, giving more control while still being able to lose control if you see what I mean. There will be sub/dom preferences for sex but that will be about how arousing the PC finds certain sex acts. Yes you can force Natasha to repay her debt in more creative ways if you are dominant, Julia has nothing else to offer, but Anya should be up for some fun even after she gets back with her bf in latest dev builds. The magic reworking is still being worked out, but I kind of promised to re-do the intro so I have to get on to that, but the 0.5.3 release should be out in a few days and then the 0.6.0 version is a big code, balance and image folder sort out, so I can't really put a time-scale on it atm.
MadGenuis Posted October 16, 2016 Author Posted October 16, 2016 Ah, the reworking of systems does sound preferable to what is in place right now; I'll look forward to that, though looking at the dates of previously published releases - of the English community-version at least, since that's the one I'm using - I figure that it'll be a while before we see such a big update. I'm not complaining, even if I sound like I am! I realize that doing this kind of thing for little to no gain is something that has to take relatively low priority and am honestly grateful that people are willing to work on it at all - it's not too different from myself writing and publishing adult stories for free, conceptually, though I imagine coding takes even more work and time - and think you should be commended for it, not criticized for not being quick enough. I also believe in quality over quantity, so there is that. I read a bit about Natasha, as I mentioned, primarily because I was confused about there being absolutely no recompense for the money she borrowed from my character and she then had the gall to ask for more. The bit about Anya, is that specific to the dev build (which I'm not playing) (sounds like it is)? The most I managed was to spy on her and her boyfriend a few times, then have sex with Anya some three or four times (I think?) before my character reverted to just looking at her ass when Anya was sleeping, for some unfathomable reason once again considering it to be "forbidden". I then managed to access some threesome scenes with her boyfriend (which sadly seemed to focus more on the boyfriend than on Anya) until even those stopped popping up in favor of invitation to Rex's party. Eh, of course I don't have to tell you about how it works, but I just want to confirm that this is actually how it works; that each new phase prevents the repetition/continuation of previous phase? Also, since I apparently have someone as knowledgeable and involved with Girl Life as you here... this might be spoiler-ish (if that's an issue), but which scenes actually acknowledge loss of virginity? As entertaining as Kolka's casual "bend over real quick so I can deflower you" was, I'd really prefer to find a scene that makes a bigger deal out of it.
sen4mi Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 I also barely can use bodyslide, and especially piercings usually are half a meter away from the body. I have been using HDT Piercingsets v2-6.7z and those piercings have been working for me in bodyslide (though I also am missing some key concepts about how to think about using it). I am using CBBE meshes and the Imitation UNP body. (I am also using Devious_Assets_CBBE_Bodyslide_2.7.5a.7z and Devious Devices - CBBE HDT Bodyslide 1.2.7z but I do not think that those have anything to do with those piercings.) (I do have a problem where adjusting body weight during creation quickly runs out of free memory and leaves me with an invisible body. And that invisible body problem sometimes also crops up during gameplay. But I think that that is also unrelated except in the sense that these mods contribute to my total memory use.) (I hope the 64 bit mod organizer gets enough attention soon, so I can try working with FO4...) I haven't heard about Hate Plus or Lady Killer in a Bind, but I have to say that even just the names of those VNs make me slightly wary of them... and when the sights that meet me upon visiting the page of the latter VN is various images of (it seemed) exclusively men in bondage, drag and/or various states of undress, I admit I that I get extra cautious of them and recoil from the idea of even touching them without any more in-depth idea that they might, contrary to my first impressions, be to my tastes. I, eh... I don't think they are, though.Well... I have no objection to your being cautious. I have my own issues which I do not like and which I get far too much of in adult games. But I do not think you even examined the pictures on Lady Killer in a Bind, let alone read the blurbs. It's a lesbian story, where the main character cross dresses as a guy. But, yes, she does look slightly masculine, dressed that way.
MadGenuis Posted October 16, 2016 Author Posted October 16, 2016 That's a woman? Hmm... actually, that does seem to be the case upon closer inspection. And scrolling past the first huge bit to the more in-depth description of the cast of the game, the descriptions there do seem to indicate that they're a predominantly female cast. In my defense it was pretty late when I checked the first time, probably leaving me somewhat less observant and patient than I would otherwise have been, and from the topmost part of the page - if one doesn't realize that the (very masculine) characters are actually women - doesn't really tell you about that. Upon first perusal I did figure that the player character was female, but seeing as all the screenshots featured women that I must really admit are doing pretty well at hiding their true sex, I simply presumed that the female player character was the only obviously feminine character in sight (the red-haired one) (a presumption that, in hindsight, was probably a pretty stupid one... particularly since I knew that the player character was supposed to be crossdressing). I freely admit my mistake and apologize for judging the VN prematurely. That said, I still think that I'll put it in the "maybe eventually"-pile. Paying a bit more attention to it and not being too sleepy while looking at it the VN does seem more to my tastes than I originally thought it was, but personally I find it somewhat off-putting how masculine most of the women are in there. In fact the only character I find (superficially) attractive (from the pictures on the page) is the one called "The Beauty", and even she makes me shy away at the mention of her having sadistic tendencies.
Kevsmart Posted October 16, 2016 Posted October 16, 2016 The problem we have with Girl Life is that its such a big world for a free game that even large updates and whole new event chains can be completely missed in a playthrough, so we are a little slow in official releases. The long gaps in releases are on me, I decide what goes in each release and when its ready, I will try and shorten the development cycles but we have been laying groundwork for 0.6.0 which is a huge change so this one has dragged. The Anya continuation is in the dev builds and will be in 0.5.3 The number of scenes acknowledging virginity loss is hard to pin down as there are 4 shared sex files that acknowledge it. Individual events I can find in a quick sarch are: The photo studio (with a dildo), guy from the dance if they take you to a hotel, 'uncle' Misha, Your real dad, car wash rapist and abductor, volleyball trainer, Vitek if your bf and you've finished school, therapist, rapist if you pass out drunk on the park bench and Pirate (if you're into that kind of thing). There is a new arousal system and this is something that is likely to be incorporated there, but there will only be limited use of it in 0.5.3.
MadGenuis Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 Ah, nice. I'll look forward to seeing that update, then. Another thing I've been wondering about, if you don't mind my asking, is whether the game actually uses information regarding where sperm comes from for anything aside from flavor-text in the description? I've noticed that, for instance, Kolka's sperm is described as being just that, whereas various other characters - even named ones - will only leave sperm without specified origins. I found this particularly jarring after accessing sex with my character's real father, only for the resulting sperm to be described as coming from an unspecified source, which I almost took to mean that the game wasn't recognizing the sperm as coming from my character's father. It doesn't matter if the source of the sperm doesn't have any effect, of course, but if my character happened to get pregnant from the encounter and it completely neglected to recognize the fact that she was carrying her father's child... well, that would be quite a bit more impactful as far as I am concerned. On the other hand, if the system disregards the origin of sperm no matter what it is and even having Kolka's child, for example, since his sperm is recognized as coming from him, turned out to be ignored... well, that would feel even weirder. In other news (in case anyone still cares) I went ahead and tried a few of Myster's games, as he suggested, specifically The Long Vacation, Lone Mother and NamelessIncestGame. Now, saying that none of them are "completely finished" seems more true for some of them than others, by which I mean that it was very evident that the different games were in vastly different stages of development. Individually, The Long Vacation was obviously the oldest and most developed title with the most functioning content as well as the one with the most adult content, making it my main pick as favorite out of the three. It's a bit graphically inferior to the newer titles, but I think it ends up being the more entertaining of the three, at least in their current states. Lone Mother initially struck me as a promising premise, especially with the mother even being able to garner attraction for her daughter as well as her son (although I didn't find any way for the daughter to become attracted to her mother, regrettably), but is also clearly the most unfinished, to the point where I have to say that it simply doesn't work. Specifically, when you load a saved game in this, the menu-screen (at least for me) becomes permanently stuck on the "load save" selection, effectively preventing one from using any other menu option, like saving. NamelessIncestGame just seemed somewhat confusing to me in that it didn't seem like it knew what it wanted to be... and, regrettably, I failed to actually encounter any incest in it; in fact the only adult scenes I encountered through a couple of hours' messing around was the mother masturbating and the sister having sex with her teddy bear while my character hid under her bed. Collectively I'd say that I don't mind the style too much, being perfectly fine with the principle of a game being based on series of pictures rather than complex animations, but that the games have issues that severely diminish how much I enjoy them (aside from Lone Mother's simply not working, which is a fatal flaw). The primary issue I have with them is that the adult scenes seem to be too few and too far between compared to the content filling the time between said scenes; I have no issue waiting for adult scenes if I feel that I'm doing something interesting and/or meaningful in the meantime, but the downtime in these games, at least, feels excessively repetitive, tedious and pointless compared to how much of the game they occupy. The adult scenes one can access relatively quickly and/or easily, such as scenes with one's sister in The Long Vacation, also end up feeling disappointing due to how they are identical every time they are encountered. Finally, I'm not personally a fan of the well-endowed MILF phenotype, but that is a wholly subjective opinion and should in no way dissuade you from using it. I don't mind the mothers of these games particularly (though there are some endowments that are just too ridiculous to be attractive to me at all), but would prefer a bit more moderation in that regard. All in all I will say that all the games I tried showed promise and that I hope you will continue to develop and improve them. It is not at all unthinkable that I would want to revisit these games in the future, once there is more content and they work more reliably; from what I've seen thus far I think you could turn these into pretty enjoyable games, if you put some effort into them. I've also gotten my hands on Cursed, though I haven't played much of it yet and will probably have more to say on it later. Please do keep suggesting games if you know of any, and thank you for your efforts thus far.
Kevsmart Posted October 18, 2016 Posted October 18, 2016 The cum management system stores all sources of sperm in an array and will use that to determine the father of any children. The PC may not be aware or able to identify that origin, but it exists so we could one day have functional paternity testing. The system currently uses the character names, but we are updating the game to use numerical references for all npcs and these will be used for sperm identification too. I can't give an ETA on this system its not one I'm working on directly but it is looking good so far. Of course the problem we still have is that there has never been any reactions to pregnancy except for a couple of lines from a few npcs, so we will have to run a large project to add this to the game, that would give the writters something to do while the coders play about with 0.6.0 stuff, hmm...
MadGenuis Posted October 18, 2016 Author Posted October 18, 2016 That sounds excellent! Thank you, both for your work with the game and for your patience and diligence in answering my questions. I will definitely look forward to what is to come for Girl Life. (Not much else to say at the moment, just wanted to express my gratitude. The hunt continues.)
MadGenuis Posted October 21, 2016 Author Posted October 21, 2016 I asked myself whether I should stop supplying updates regarding my search for adult games that I approve of rather sincerely this time around, mostly spurred by the fact that I feel intensely uncomfortable posting twice in a row in the same thread - even though days pass in the meantime I still feel as though I am wrongfully spamming - but ultimately decided to continue at least for the time being. I'm doing it, for anyone who may wonder about it or be displeased with the continuous bumping of the thread, partly because I was asked to, partly because my opinions of adult games and included aspects of them may give rise to new suggestions based on similarities and differences, and partly in hopes that my (extremely biased) reviews of these games might serve to help others recognize qualities therein they are looking for. So there, I felt the need to explain myself and now I have done so. As mentioned in my last update I downloaded Cursed, which - while perhaps superficially similar to it - is quite a different beast compared to Girl Life. I sit here trying to come up with a way to summarize what Cursed does, and am surprised to say that it does a few of the same things Girl Life does, only not as well (in my opinion). It has vastly less content as far as I can tell, for one thing, and even the content that is there seems surprisingly... dry, really. Descriptions of both characters, places and events are usually brief and either solely objective or solely subjective, in the latter case obviously basing the description on the opinion of the character, and lack even summary details regarding a lot of things. The better English in Cursed is its primary advantage in a comparison between the two, since they do seem to try to fill similar niches, where Cursed doesn't encounter issues with untranslated Russian in the middle of sentences (which, as far as I understand, are in Girl Life primarily because there exists no English equivalent) or machine-translated passages, but Cursed is highly simplified, streamlined, surprisingly linear and suffers from repetitiveness even more than Girl Life due to the lesser extent of freedom it gives you. On its own Cursed is a passable game, I'd say, though its lack of content, lackluster descriptions and high frequency of repetition hurts it a lot, but I honestly think it pales in comparison to Girl Life, which does many of the same things better. And naturally, Girl Life has incest... Cursed does not. So Girl Life wins as far as I am concerned. Aside from that I tried Abandoned: A Tale of Forgotten Lives again (realizing only now that I had forgotten to tell the game to run as administrator, which solved the issue I mentioned in a previous update) and got it to sort of work. I stress sort of, as the game now starts and runs as intended, only to crash about a minute or so into the game, with the game becoming entirely unresponsive and the system deciding that it's not working and shutting it down. This has happened no matter how low I set the graphics quality, so I'm quite frankly at a loss concerning how to get past it. (I did try to run it with half textures, but really, that shouldn't be an issue... I have 16 GB RAM, I shouldn't run out pretty much no matter what I'm trying to run.) I also took a look at a game recommended by xboronx some time back, Scoreville, but haven't actually decided on whether to download it or not. My primary concern with the game is quite simply the lack of information; xboronx referred to it as "dating sim like", which I'm pretty okay with at the moment, but going to the game site and associated forum presents me with practically no clarification as to what I can expect from it. There are girl packs to add girls, similar to in Whoremaster, and it appears to have a lot of previous updates, but that is about as much as I learned from a quick browsing of their site and forum; there is no information about what kind of content is in the game or even what style it is. "Dating sim like" is fine for a quick summary of what something is, but on its own with no supplementary description of the game it's woefully insufficient. I may take a look at it later, but caution due to lack of information has made me move it back a bit on the list of priorities. That's about what I've been able to surmise since the last update. Now, Girl Life just updated so I will go play some of that... and then we'll see what I come up with next. EDIT: No Anya continuation after all or is it because I have to start a new game for it to be accessible? (Going to try a new game now...) EDIT2: Oh shit, I only now realized that Pirate was the name of a character, not an actual pirate... Now the "if you're into that kind of thing"-comment makes a lot more sense to me. Hah! Didn't even know there was bestiality in the game. EDIT3: Wait, did Julia and Natasha move? EDIT4: Never mind, now they showed up.
Katz Posted October 21, 2016 Posted October 21, 2016 I have a few suggestions. If you want to try a VN, try Princess Waltz. Most VNs bore me to tears, but this one was superb. I think I got something in my eye at the end, and everything was all blurry. The good thing is that there is a very interesting story, and the gating card game was pretty good. The characters are interesting, and while not memorable, are solidly written. The bad thing is that you literally have 0 choice the whole game, save a bit at the end, in which you decide which of the three princesses (or your sister) you end up with. It's not a game, it's a very nice story with titties at the end. The translation is fairly good, no engrish around. As for RPGmaker games, I would very very very strongly advise you to try Loki's Corruption. First, the bad. It opens up with some seriously dark themes (the main character wakes up in a human slaughterhouse with lost memory and unlikely companion inhabiting his inner thoughts) which makes the start more likely to be a horror/murder mystery game than otherwise. I was seriously unsettled but I am glad I did not stop. The game quickly picks up, and turns into a game of finding out what happened to your missing wife and revenge on whoever wronged you. The corruption is a central plot between the main character and the people who wronged you, though you have to understand that it's not at odds with any kind of moral code. Everyone, even angels and deities are a rather dull shade of gray. Another bad part is that is very heavily scripted and thus is very much on-rails, but the illusion of choice is well preserved. Unfortunately, at some points the author picked up the nasty habit of adding grinding as filler; it's not TOO bad, but there are 2 or 3 spots where this becomes especially jarring. The author is swedish so there is a bit of engrish, but it's charming. The good points now. The game is GORGEOUS. I didn't even know that RPGmaker was capable of that. Seriously, there is a lot of work put into atmosphere and setting, the scenery is superb. The artwork is the author's original work, and, while not perfect, is completely fitting to the theme. The story is great and, while not especially heavy on plot twists, it never loses that mystery feeling you got from the start. And the corruption theme is very well introduced, because not only the main character becomes corrupted, but everyone around her. Enough words. Just play it. I loved it. And now, for something completely different? Are you a completionist? Do you like tower defense games? Try Millenium War Aigis. It is an online browser game hosted and ported over by Nutaku. Compared to other such game, it has surprising depth. Oh and it also has titties. But that's not even important. It's fairly impossible to collect all the titties as a free-to-play player, but the game is good enough even so. I have more, but this will be enough for now. Ask if you need moar.
Kevsmart Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 Cursed is a cool game, I played it quite a bit before I got so involved in GirlLife. It has probably influenced some of the things I've added and inspired some of the changes I made to the clothing system but its a single developer so it has limits to scope and range that we don't, balanced with clearer focus and less unfinished content. Still, I'm glad we won. YAY \o/ If you had already gone passed the Anya threesome events I think the continuation won't trigger, it should stop while they are going on and re-start as they finish according to the notes (I haven't had the chance to test it out myself yet). Julia and Natasha aren't always available from the start, it depends on your social goup. This is something for the school content with the PC being in a social group having a bigger impact and some (slow) means to be able to change social group, but that's a way off. Oh and don't worry about the double post, I find your reviews and feedback very interesting. Even when they aren't feeding my narcissism.
zenlc2000 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 I second the motion to keep posting and even double posting. I mostly lurk here but I've been mining this thread for gaming ideas for stress relief. Keep up the good work.
MadGenuis Posted October 22, 2016 Author Posted October 22, 2016 Well then, continue I shall! Not right now, primarily because I haven't actually explored more adult games since yesterday (unsurprisingly; there are only so many hours in a day, and playing alone time-games can only occupy a few of those), which went into trying out the updated Girl Life. Thus far differences that I have observed in that, for the sake of including just a few observations, include the replacement of various images (mostly improvements in my opinion), an (initially) annoying alteration to how arousal works, with it lowering significantly at midnight unless full (which makes accessing the Anya-scenes somewhat difficult, since she also goes to sleep at midnight), and of course the altered start. I also seem to have observed a mildly bizarre bug (at least I'm convinced it is a bug) which causes the player character's family to sometimes get abruptly abducted at some arbitrary time of day during the weekend, making them disappear off to the grandparents' place without warning. (Should probably write an actual bug report on that... will see about doing so once I'm done with this.) Princess Waltz and Loki's Corruption, eh? I shall take a look at them, if they are really as outstanding as you make them sound. And I honestly don't mind bad English in free games too much; as long as I can understand it I'm fairly tolerant, but untranslated words and passages or machine-translations that are incomprehensible generally aren't okay. I've been burned pretty badly on horrid crimes against the English language like that in the past... It's okay in games like Violated Heroine, where there is gameplay and a lot of fully translated content to make up for it, but I recall one VN I tried called Musumakeup... quite nice (if occasionally stupid) narrative that actually had me interested, good English, until I got about one third of the way through, at which point it devolved into machine-translated gibberish. Actually literally broke my old mouse skipping through two thirds of that VN as quickly as possible to get to the end. So sad... But the point I was trying to get at (sidetracking aside) is that English isn't my native language either. I write in it semi-professionally now ("semi" because I haven't actually published anything for profit yet) and speak it fluently, but it is a second language nevertheless. (I also realize that I make occasional slip-ups in regards to spelling and grammar, but I like to think that I do it no more frequently than someone for whom English is their first language.) I actually have tried Millennium War Aegis and got slightly caught up in the Pokémon-esque "gotta catch 'em all" mentality, found it pretty entertaining for a little while, but then (as is often the case with that breed of games) started encountering the limitations of its micro transaction-wall, namely running out of stamina way too fast and how rarely one acquires rare units without paying for them. Nice little game, though, and I think I recall a few pretty nice scenes from it, though honestly the characters themselves were often more alluring than their adult scenes. I also tried another Nutaku game with the atrocious name (shudders) Ultra Adventure Go Go Osawari Island... got lured in by the sprites. Same problem with micro transactions, and the gameplay is pretty horrendously annoying and grindy (especially when the game decides to stutter for no apparent reason). Still, thanks for the suggestions.

coretex Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 @ Madgenuis - the family going on weekend stay at the grandparents is "known" if you happen to check in with Mom sometime between i think that Friday's afternoon and that Saturday morning before noon. You can go with in you show up in the kitchen at the right time on Saturday. Otherwise yes.. the only notice you get is everyone gone and a short description in the Hallway/Corridor screen of the family apt.
