MadGenuis Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Okay, allow me to start off apologizing for making the umpteenth topic of this kind, the kind of which litter both this and the Hentai Games-section; I am not ignorant to how annoying it can be to see the same or similar questions repeated endlessly and potentially have to answer the endlessly as well. My asking is mainly just to get suggestions based on my own preferences rather than on those of the various others who have asked, and to (ironically) avoid some of the repetition of suggestions I would inevitably have to go through when reading through the various other topics. With that out of the way, the title really says it all: I’m looking for suggestions for adult/hentai games that I might find enjoyable. And... I’ll try not to indulge in my fondness for writing about things at length too much and if I do elaborate more than is perhaps strictly necessary, I’ll do so in spoilers. Games in the genre that I’ve already tried and liked include (off the top of my head) Violated Heroine, Corruption of Champions, (surprisingly to me) Monster Girl Quest and The Last Sovereign. I also for some reason like Breeding Season... I really like VH for the most part; the gameplay is fairly challenging most of the time, at times requiring both skill and tactics (especially since I usually refuse to grind for levels and money), there is a good amount of varied adult content most of which is really nice, and it has pretty nice art-style and writing. My primary issues with the game are that many scenes are unrepeatable (which in turn makes it an issue for me that there are so few save-slots), that it at times feel as though you need to grind to feasibly win (though I did defeat the Goblin Queen while doing one damage and being one-shot by her, it took forever) and that it is (and feels, once to progress far enough in) unfinished. It’s a great game up until the text starts being machine-translated or untranslated altogether, which kills a good deal of the enjoyment for me. I also find it slightly bothersome that a lot of the H-scenes are locked behind a “you have to lose to this enemy”-condition, since I don’t like losing on purpose and generally don’t lose a lot at all.A final thing that somewhat annoys me with VH, relatively realistic though it may be, is the pure/dirty stat. To a certain extent it’s fine, but the fact that doing certain things irrevocably makes you more dirty and that becoming more dirty means that some sexual encounters are no longer optional... I realize that this could probably be dealt with simply by playing through the game twice, once as pure and once as dirty, but even then... plus, the limited amount of save-slots once again becomes an issue. CoC is a game that I’ve played a lot and will probably continue to play a lot, simply because it has such enormous variety in how you can handle it both as a game and as an RPG. The writing is mostly quite good, and the amount of fleshed-out content is staggering; I’m particularly fond of how heavily impregnation and pregnancy is featured in it. The gameplay is a bit bland and easy for my tastes, though, and there is too much grinding, to the point where I tend to speed-click my way through entire days, just rapidly clicking back and forth between explore > area > attack > continue > repeat necessary amount of times until I win > repeat all steps all day > sleep. Occasionally tactics need to be switched up, but even then it’s mostly a matter of substituting “attack” with “tease” or “whitefire”, if available. The gameplay makes it pretty low-effort to progress through, though, which is why playing several different characters is doable. The feature of transformation is interesting and appreciated, as is – once again – the huge variation, but I’m (ironically) not a fan of the corruption, if for no other reason then simply because it makes your character act a certain way, forces certain actions upon it and creates bad relations with various characters. I’ve played that game a bunch of times, and I’ve only played one character that I actually allowed to be corrupted. MGQ was surprising to me, as previously mentioned. I thought the gameplay was usually either somewhat straightforward, too heavily scripted in the “you must do this specific thing to win”-way, too based on luck or just plain weird. The H-scenes are pretty nice, but the vast majority of them are locked behind the “you have to lose to this enemy”-condition, with extra incentive to lose repeatedly in that the scene is different depending on how the enemy defeats you... Overall I think I experienced maybe one percent of the adult content of the game simply because I dislike losing on purpose. The characters and story, though... both were incredibly cliche and stupid, to the point of the game acknowledging the fact itself and poking fun at it, yet I can’t help but to like it. I’m not even sure why. I guess I’m a sucker for happy endings? TLS is a good game. Great, even. Even so I must mention a few things that bothered me a little bit, and one that bothered (and still bothers) me a lot. Firstly, the fact that the main character and his late wife were pretty much in agreement that they could fuck whoever they liked... yeah, not a fan. And the fact that the main character inevitably begins to embrace the depravity of his newfound power is also a little bit bothersome. My main issue with it, however, is that the game is long. Which would be great – I’d never normally complain about such a quality – if I had not had the compulsion to obsessively find and experience everything in the game. I mean, the simple facts that there are multiple paths through the game and that you have to decide which characters you improve your relationship with pretty much means that one has to play through it several times to get it all. Still, amazing game. I guess what I look for in a H-game is either enjoyable gameplay, good characters and story, well-done H-content or some combination of those, ideally all of them. Now, that by itself is probably the most generic list of qualities ever and could apply to anyone, so I guess I’ll have to be a bit more specific. To me, gameplay is enjoyable primarily when it is not a chore; obviously, if you’re getting annoyed at repeating the same action over and over again, for example, you’re not enjoying the gameplay. There doesn’t need to be a lot of variation, just some of it go a long way since gameplay isn’t usually what you play an adult game for. Aside from that it’d be a bonus if the gameplay was challenging, either in terms of skill or making one think.Good characters have depth and are ideally likable, especially if said character is supposed to be part of the adult content or, even more important, a romantic interest. A good story is very similar to a good character, with it having depth and, once again ideally, a certain originality about it. My own preferences when it comes to story are fairly broad and few ideas strike me as unappealing, but I do find that having a “happy ending” (if the game has (or ever will have, if it’s still in development) an ending) makes it more enjoyable to me. NB: requirements for gameplay have been significantly lowered since the writing of this paragraph. Practically anything goes now, though obviously the above is still my preference. And good adult content... part of it is good graphics (if 3D), good art design, (for 3D, 2D and sprite-based), nice animations (if animated) and/or good descriptions (for text), and that alone can go a long way. I’ve enjoyed Artificial Girl 3 quite a bit at times just because it looks and sounds nice, but it doesn’t have much longevity simply because of gameplay and story (there is none of either) and that it gets repetitive. Another part of it, and the part I suppose divides the audience of the genre the most, is the preferences one has in terms of adult content.Personally I probably have some rather boring preferences for the most part, but I guess I’ll stick to the more unusual inclusions/themes. I don’t like humiliation, rape, BDSM, violence (not in my adult content, at least), snuff, exaggerated features (such as the apparently ever-popular huge breasts), watersports, scat and male-on-male action. I do like impregnation and pregnancy (possibly associated birth), lactation, petite women, incest (the more closely related the better) and cum inflation. I can potentially like unbirthing and to a lesser extent vore, but only in cases where these things are temporary and where the unbirthed/swallowed person/creature survives the experience. Bestiality can also be all right, but it can also be disgusting if done wrong. Yeah. On a final note I’ll say two last things about myself: I’m a Soulsborne player, and I don’t like to lose on purpose. Consequently, in case that much wasn’t clear, I tend not to lose too often at games once I’ve learned them and thus probably won’t get much out of an adult game where the adult content is locked behind a “you have to lose”-condition. End of original OP. Before trying to return to this thread I figure that an update of this post is in order, both to enable a smoother navigation and better overview of the (presumably) increasing number of posts in the thread, what recommendations have already been made and my reviews of the things I've tried.I will also state here as clearly as possible that I have a strong preference for consensual adult content, and that my two most prominent fetishes are pregnancy and incest; basically almost any recommendation featuring one of those two things (or even better, both of those things) can potentially be forgiven qualities that may be displeasing to me. (I also have one small additional request, unrelated to the above. I have been contemplating reinstalling Skyrim to see if I can get it to work better/more reliably if I use Mod Organizer to handle my modding needs, and while I have previously been able to find mods for a lot of things, one ambition of mine keeps eluding me: to have a player character with an attractive face. NPCs can be made to look pretty damn good with various cosmetic mods, but the player character somehow is a lot harder to improve the appearance of. So if you have any ideas for that specific purpose, those are welcome, too.) Without further ado, the overview of the contents of this thread: Recommendation: Sangeki no Gear, Rhode's Fortress, Sengoku Rance, A Dance With Rogues (Neverwinter Nights mod) and Naked Order: have only gotten around to trying Rhode's Fortress out of these, primarily due to the realization that all or most of these seem to primarily feature non-consensual encounters and cruelty, with game play being the main redeeming quality. Recommendation: Custom Maid 3D2: aesthetically pleasing, but hard to enjoy due to language-barriers and tedium. In-depth review (third paragraph). Recommendation: Noxian Nights: yet to try due to presumed scope of game and lack of time, but archived for future perusal. Recommendation: HuniePop, Library Trainer and Glassix: have yet to try Library Trainer, but enjoyed the aesthetics and game play of HuniePop. Have also tried Glassix, which has a pleasing artstyle and features delicious incest, but suffers from repetitive game play and the fact that one is forced to take advantage of girls in order to avoid game-over. In-depth review of HuniePop (third paragraph) and Glassix (in spoiler). Recommendation: A Tale of Forgotten Lives, Whoremaster and Scoreville: Despite my best efforts I have yet to get A Tale of Forgotten Lives to successfully run, so I cannot review that. I have had a great deal of enjoyment out of Whoremaster, though it should be noted that the artstyle is customizable and the game play can get somewhat repetitive. Have not tried Scoreville due to lack of information regarding the game. In-depth review of Whoremaster (fourth paragraph). Recommendation: Slavemaker and Jack-o-nine-tails: Have not yet tried Slavemaker, but Jack-o-nine-tails was dismissed due to the necessity of cruelty towards slaves and the fact that companionship with such slaves is counterproductive, given that they are trained for the sole purpose of selling them. In-depth review of Jack-o-nine-tails (fourth paragraph). Recommendation: Trap Quest, Cursed, Girl Life, Free Cities and Tobihime: Have not tried Trap Quest and Tobihime yet. Cursed and Girl Life are somewhat similar life-simulation games that have a particular kind of charm to them, though personally I prefer Girl Life due to immensity of content, freedom and the inclusion of images. Free Cities is a very enjoyable game that only appears to get better with every frequent update it gets. In-depth review of Free Cities (second paragraph), Girl Life (third paragraph) and Cursed (second paragraph). Recommendation: Lady Killer in a Bind, with elaboration (in the bottom spoiler): Have not tried it due to it being a visual novel featuring almost solely very masculine women, with the only feminine character also being a sadist. Superficial reaction of before realizing that the characters were female, and after. Recommendation: Myster's games; a number of unfinished games by Myster. Lack of content is generally an issue, as well as prominent featuring of very large endowments and domination. On the bright side, several feature incest. In-depth review of Lone Mother, NamelessIncestGame and The Long Vacation (second paragraph). Recommendation: Princess Waltz, Loki's Corruption and Millennium War Aegis: Have gotten my hands on Princess Waltz, but have yet to complete it. Loki's Corruption has a (to me) displeasing artstyle and an unfortunate tendency towards the unconsensual, but potentially interesting story. Millennium War Aegis is somewhat addictive with mixed quality of art, but suffers from grindy game play and slow-generating resources. In-depth reviews of Millennium War Aegis (second half of second paragraph) and Loki's Corruption (third paragraph, continues past spoiler), with further elaboration. Recommendation: Crusader Kings 2 (with mods): Have "tried" this, but for whatever reason the game itself just seems overwhelmingly complicated to the point of me ending up discouraged before encountering pretty much any of the modded content. Recommendation: Sociolotron: Have not tried due to it being subscription-based and multiplayer. In-depth reaction (second paragraph). Recommendation: Elena Champion of Lust, which really does not have a comma in the title: very simple and mostly unsatisfactory art and animations, with mechanics that encourage one to either ignore or cheese them, topped by a rather simple story. In-depth review (both first and huge second paragraph). Recommendation: Wife Trainer, Tales of the Drunken Cowboy, Witch Trainer and Princess Trainer Gold: Have thus far only tried Wife Trainer, which necessitates taking actions to succeed that I don't really approve of, particularly after the first round of wives, and generally lacks redeeming qualities. Recommendation: Chronicles of Leridia: Have not tried yet, and was advised to wait for an eminent update before doing so, so further examination hereof is currently on hold. Recommendation: Teen Bloom (Neverwinter Nights mod): A pretty nice mod with a lot of potential, but also a lot of development to go. A girl sim made in NWN, set to feature loving and consensual incestuous relationships, pregnancy and childbirth. In-depth review in this and this post. Recommendation: Kamidori Alchemy Meister: Have not tried yet. Media that I have since tried and approved of: Nimin (sixth (bottom) paragraph): a CoC-like game; text-based and prominently features transformation and pregnancy, as well as a few fringe-cases of incest. SuperPowered (third paragraph): unfinished lifesim featuring superpowers, gratuitous incest and a pleasing artstyle. Aki-Sora (in spoiler): manga with short anime-adaptation, centered around the sexual relationship of a brother and sister. Family Fun (or something similar) (in spoiler): a lost comic of a boy having sexual relationships with his three sisters, ultimately impregnating all three. I will try to keep this post updated.
Thickthighsmallfeet Posted September 14, 2016 Posted September 14, 2016 Scale Garden's RPG Maker games. Sangeki no Gear and Rhodes Fortress in particular as both feature full English Translations. Both have animations and unique combat to keep things fresh by comparison to the billions of other H RPG Maker games out there that you will likely go through as well. I pretty much recommend these two to most people. Since you have a nice wordy description of what you like, which I much appreciate as it helps inform us to what you are looking for, I will try to explain why I like these two games in particular. While there are some scenes that are gated behind loss conditions they are infrequent. The descriptions and text are quite good if you want a heroine that continually strives to be better and to win. Even when they succumb to their lust and accept the sex they lament over it still and never truly permanently "break" as a lot of girls do in HRPGs which in my opinion ultimately make them boring. They aren't dumb either though they may be easily persuaded in some instances. While many games can claim "a tragedy befalls the heroine" I feel that these game nails this aspect perfectly. Even if you achieve the happy ending the path was still rough on the heroine, particularly in Rhodes. Despite this they retain some degree of personality and this is what I like about them. It doesn't feel like there are multiple versions of the same girl every time a scene pops up instead we have the same character in different moods or states. While they do get more relaxed about sexual stuff they will never really run around in broad daylight nude for example. It just isn't in their character which i think is great. Combat wise Rhodes has a more interesting and strategic system were you need to lower their armor amount before you can damage their HP. You have an ability point limit/resource to manage per turn as well and a limited number of uses for your special abilities though you can refresh it via water and resting. Sangeki is simply but some of the optional challenge enemies are still challenging. You could of course opt for best items, max level (25) and come back but often a bit of strategy and equipment prep can let you win against tougher enemies. Working out how was half the fun. In terms of gameplay, quest design and story progression. Both have a straight forward and fairly slow start however Sangeki opens up midway and lets you free roam with a list of main objectives for you to achieve. Rhodes sort of does this too but is more limited. Sangeki has lots of hidden stuff some of which can be annoying to get to and will honestly probably need a guide. Rhodes's is newer and added a neat little Tips section by your bed that hints at where scenes are and what you can do in each segment. It'll also give you hints about points of no return from the story so that is great! Also, if you haven't played Sengoku Rance yet and you like SRPGs go do that. Multiple routes and different methods to unlock more units. Very real potential to lose and restart with buffs and a better understanding of game mechanics. You really don't want to be warring with more than two factions at one time, preferrably just one unless your army is exceptional. Learn when to give up land and learn when to conquer. Neverwinter Night mod A Dance with Rogues is excellent and complete. Some fun little RPG Maker games in development that I also enjoy. Yummytiger's Aylia's Story (prologue is out, ch1 soon, hopefully). Nerion's Fountain of Mana (demos, update releasing soon, is in proof reading atm.) Architect's Claire's Quest (Prologue areas are fairly complete with decent art, scenes and systems. Promising branching paths and no battle system yet). I'm also a big fan of Naked Order. You can find it on dlsite. It has full translation but it is more of a arcadey, stealth score attack sort of game. It is pretty challenging, no combat. A bit of trial and error but shouldn't be intolerable for a souls fan. Might be worth a look.
MadGenuis Posted September 14, 2016 Author Posted September 14, 2016 Ah, thank you; I honestly didn't expect a reply this quickly nor this neatly thought-through. Quite excellent. I will be sure to give those games a look; I even think I read about that last in-development game, Claire's Quest, at some point and thought that it was probably worth a try, but for some reason forgot about it again. The rest are new to me (or, well, the mod for NWN is; the game itself I have played extensively). Also, Even when they succumb to their lust and accept the sex they lament over it still and never truly permanently "break" as a lot of girls do in HRPGs which in my opinion ultimately make them boring. This. So much this. It annoys me when games make the decision on your behalf (or just have characters that are like that) that a lapse of judgment or surrender to temptation every now and then is the same as a permanent descent into indulgence or the like. I suppose it is one of the hallmarks of games trying to accommodate a genre that's generally too intricate for game-code to feasibly be able to adapt to it (namely roleplaying), but I'm glad that not all games are doing it.
Shinryuu Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 pretty much every great hentai game ever has been mentioned itt, these guys know their stuff
xboronx Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 You could try Custom Maid 3D2 from Kiss. http://www.hongfire.com/forum/forum/hentai-lair/hentai-game-discussion/418479-kiss-custom-maid-3d2-act-2-%E3%82%AB%E3%82%B9%E3%82%BF%E3%83%A0%E3%83%A1%E3%82%A4%E3%83%893d2-act-2-discussion-faq-v2 It has a lot of customisation, you "manage" a brothel there. The girls have lots of stats so depending what you make them do you can develop them differently. Sex is kinda "turn based", you set up a queue of actions and can them view them and give more orders, each having effects on the girls stats. After a few sex actions the stamina for the day is over, so it takes quite a while till they level up. It is a bit tedious in the long run, but you have quite a few personalities to chose from and lots of sex actions too. Afaik there is no hard limit, but you have to earn money too by letting the maids service customers and you start with a debt and only one girl. So building up your club takes a while. And you are free to do what you want, you can make the girls only do light services like dancing and such, or you can make them your personal maids etc. etc.. There are lots of addons from Kiss themselves and lots of mods too, so you have thousands of clothes etc. to chose from. Imho Kiss is better than Illusion since their games usually have some gameplay too.
MadGenuis Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 I think I looked at Custom Maid 3D (may have been 2, not sure) once and considered it, but decided that the gameplay sounded tedious (to use your own word for it) and the prospect of having to, ahem, have my girls sell their bodies... especially that first maid, which I seem to recall was supposed to be a... childhood friend or something? May even have tried it, not even sure, but if I did I'm certain that I dropped it before I got very far. But from the sound of it the gameplay opens up some later on in the game and gets more interesting (that's how I interpret it, at least?), and you apparently don't have to make your maids into prostitutes, which is a big plus to me. Might be worth another look, especially if the potential for modding for it is as extensive as you make it sound. Thanks for the suggestion!
Thickthighsmallfeet Posted September 15, 2016 Posted September 15, 2016 You should report progress on which games you try and like. I'd read it since you seem to be able form coherent and non-annoying to read blocks of text that actually have some sort of point, even if it is just your personal opinions.
MadGenuis Posted September 15, 2016 Author Posted September 15, 2016 Certainly, once I have the time to properly try out some of them I will be sure to report back what I thought of them. In the meantime I just have to figure out how to maneuver these sites that have been provided links for... And while I will take the acknowledgement of my ability to express myself properly, I should certainly hope that such was the case. English may not be my native language, but it is the one I write and publish in. Actually, I have a few incomplete adult stories freely available online on ASSTR, though I don't know whether it would be something people here would be interested in nor whether I would even be allowed to provide a link to my profile there. Regardless, and perhaps needless to say, I am always happy when my writing is complimented, even if it's something as casual as this. Update: I'm currently struggling trying to get Rhode's Fortress to work... not sure where to go or what to do for means to get it running (probably need some additional RTSs (or rather one specific one I don't have) or I missed up somehow already) and obtaining a translation. Hmm...

May even have tried it, not even sure, but if I did I'm certain that I dropped it before I got very far. This is CM 3D, in CM 3D 2 you get your uncle's empire club as a gift. It turns out that it is in -10 mio debt though, so you start from nothing. It opens up a bit, but also stays tedious since you have more maids to manage then. Most mods are mainly new clothes, don't know what else is possible. Kiss themselves add at least 1 major addon every 1-2 months. So depending how long they continue this dlc policy there could get added more and more to the game. But mainly it is just a dress up/sex sim with stat grinding. Still more gameplay than most Illusion games. You wrote in your other thread that BDSM is not to your liking, so the older Kiss games are not recommendable either. But from a gameplay perspective in their old 2d games, custom slave 1-5 they did some nice tries. One is a Tower Defense game, where the girls are your towers who fight against monsters. You level them up with sex between the missions and that improves their tower stats too. Weird but at least fun, in another one you are a school director or similiar and corrupt it.
Guest EV0003 Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 You liked The Last Sovereign. Noxian Nights is made by the same guy, who joined up with another dev, it's pretty damn good.
MadGenuis Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Ah, so it was the first Custom Maid 3D I looked at back then. The sequel does sound pretty similar though, and you honestly aren't making too strong a case for it if playing it really is as tedious and repetitive as you make it sound. Still, might help fill the same kind of niche that Artificial Girl 3 does, so it might still be worth a look at some point. The one about being a school director sounds like some of the free games I've found over the years, most notably Hentai Highschool (only ever tried HHS+ though I know there are other incarnations of that particular game... that one was just the one I managed to get to work) (not a fan of how one turns everyone into sluts and/or blackmails them into submission in that game; also has a disappointing lack of pregnancy) and Ashford Academy, though I never actually managed to access any adult content in the latter. Still, unfortunately, not a fan of BDSM, though, so I think I will give those a pass for the time being. If Noxian Nights is similar to The Last Sovereign I'll definitely give it a try sometime, thanks. And finally a new update: after a lot of messing around and failing hilariously at following simple instructions, I finally got Rhode's Fortress to work properly in a translated state. Time to take it out for a spin next time the opportunity arises. (I'm also slightly concerned that one tag I saw frequently repeated reading about the game being "rape", but I will give it a go nevertheless. Heck, I tried RapeLay despite it obviously featuring things that definitely weren't to my tastes, so no reason to get overly cautious now.)
Thickthighsmallfeet Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 There is rape in Scale Garden's titles. In fact if you severely dislike rape then it may be a turn off. There is also blackmailed sex which may as well be rape in some cases.
MadGenuis Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Ah, well... while I conceptually I dislike rape, I suppose that in terms of adult content there are different kinds of it that may disagree with me more or less. I guess that the kind of rape that primarily offends me is the kind that involves unnecessary cruelty and the exploitation of the defenseless just for the gratification of exerting one's own power. Also obviously any kind that involves the victim being harmed... In reality rape is unacceptable under any circumstances, obviously, but I suppose that (for me) it is circumstantial for me when it comes to adult media. I suppose I don't mind too much if the victim doesn't react with desperation or grief - there is absolutely nothing sexy about a crying woman as far as I am concerned - but rather either struggles to escape (that is to say, they show that they aren't intimidated or at least aren't willing to surrender) or just sullenly resign themselves to their fate and endure it dispassionately. I also for some reason find the sexual exploitation of someone while they're asleep arousing rather than disgusting, even though that would probably also be classified as rape... as long as the perpetrator - once again - isn't cruel to the victim. In general I suppose that my problem with rape in adult content is more due to the associated cruelty and humiliation of the victim than anything, so the less those two things are a factor, the more okay with it I am. Been playing Rhode's Fortress a bit since last I wrote, and I must say that the combat in the game is quite unusual. I don't mind, though, and it does represent a refreshing challenge at times, figuring out exactly how to handle each turn optimally and when to use one's skills to best effect. I don't think I particularly mind the art-style, at least, though I will say that it's far from the prettiest I've seen... to be honest I thought Violated Heroine did a better job in that department, but that's purely a matter of preference (one thing I've noticed, though, is that I really don't like how they've drawn Rhode's hands... they just look wrong to me, somehow). I've been going a bit back and forth between cautiously optimistic and skeptic in regards to the adult content, but at least as far as I've gotten things haven't crossed any lines that I found unacceptable, though it hasn't really included anything in particular that I found to my tastes. Then again I haven't gotten very far yet, so things may very well change in that regard.

Even for my tastes. It tames down a bit. Again, I will say that i liked these Scale Garden games because they were mean and often cruel to the protagonist but she manages to over come in the end despite being heavily exploited and used. There are scenes where some of the antagonists' goal is to shame and humiliate her and succeeds. In many ways it made the ending far more satisfying than most HRPGs I have played. It gets less cruel as she becomes more accustomed to her situation I guess but the first time... If you don't mind seeing cruel fate befall the girl and her struggle to cope and get out of horrible scenario then continue on. If you want some light weight happy stuff... There isn't nearly as much here. I agree. The art isn't great but neither is it awful. The combat is a bit interesting and I feel in Rhode's it doesn't overstay its welcome unlike in Sangeki. I do prefer the girl in Sangeki though. I think Sangeki is a little less mean/cruel as well.
MadGenuis Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Hmm... see, I'm somewhat unsure what to think or do about the game, hearing it described like that. On one hand dark themes like those tend to really sour adult content for me and remove most of their appeal, but on the other hand it sounds like the format of story that I usually enjoy, not to mention write about myself, namely that the characters are put through hardships that can at times be ridiculously unfair and cruel only to arrive at the "happy ending" they by then sorely deserve. (It should be noted here that this is only a format I use when writing non-adult stories; my adult-stories usually have very little of that sort of content and tend to feature almost purely consensual encounters.) I may end up playing it just for the challenge and the story (which I presume is going to pick up at some point rather than it actually just being about Rhode idling about in the fortress with the soldiers there), but I suspect from your description that it is already well on the way to having failed to appeal to me as an adult game... at least the initial encounters, if they are really as bad as you make them sound. I realize that I'm probably a very difficult person to recommend these kind of games to exactly because my preferences in regards to adult content are so, as I mentioned in my first post, boring. Most games I've found on my own seem to lean to extremes one way or another, and my issue with it all is that it just generally doesn't appeal to me. It's all about enslavement (though enslavement, if not the dark kind, isn't necessarily repulsive to me either), rape, humiliation and the like, or else it is completely devoid of gameplay and reduced to either "click for sex" or it basically becomes a visual novel in which adult content just happens to be included occasionally (I'm looking at you, Nekopara. The time I spent on you I will never get back). Actually scratch that "probably"; I know that I'm a difficult person to match adult media with, to the point where I barely have managed to find anything to my liking on my own and have taken to exploring such unlikely titles as the aforementioned RapeLay (that said, the incest between the girls appealed to me a lot once I cheated my way past the unpleasant "training" in that game...). Would probably also be a lot easier if I could read/understand Japanese...

Probably for reasons you mentioned, it'll often become click or talk for sex otherwise. I am not really a fan of rape for the sake of rape and getting the sex on. I dislike game over rape for instance. That said I found the way it was done by Scale Garden to be a more enjoyable experience precisely because it was more cruel. It was more memorable I guess in the same way that Game of Thrones shocked and awed many people who saw it the first time. I've played a lot of H Games and seen so many scenes. Few games have scenes that I remember. Rhode's first seen is one that stuck out for me, not because I thought it was arousing but yeah, it was dark and almost unnecessary. In fact, I can almost laugh at it and say WTF? to the author when I look at the plot over all as a whole. But it was the journey that I kind of enjoyed and that includes the slow start with the constant teasing early on. It does open up but it takes some time. Perhaps this is why I enjoy the game, to me it helps build character and the cruelty that pretty much crushes her world is a form of characterization or character development. Try Huniepop, it is on Gog or Steam or buy directly from website. There is an easy to install uncensor patch too. it is basically a match 3 game with a bit of a dating sim. A Dance With Rogues, Neverwinter Nights mod has some rape but is also often in your control. That is if you choose to it can often be consensual. Kind of unrelated to current topic but on the note of sleeping girls... The Belle (Beauty and the Beast) Trainer game called Library Trainer might be worth keeping an eye on. It is still in development, as of 0.6 there isn't much h content in there but you can see the direction they are going with it. Glassix might also interest you too. Another game in development. Features mind influencing (not quite mind control). There is some sleeping scene for each girl though some of them are more or less the same between girls at the moment. Is there a free version of RPG Maker XP or VX? The only one I found made my virus detector go berserk, so I deleted it. If you're just trying to play the games you only need the RTP (Run Time Packages) which are free but the SDK (Software Development Kit) will require you to buy a license. Scan the files online to check for false positives. Assuming you only want to play RPG Maker games and not make them. http://www.rpgmakerweb.com/download/additional/run-time-packages Sometimes an H RPG Maker game might need you to install a Japanese version RTP as well. I think this is mostly for older games or games that used older versions of RPG Maker during development.
xboronx Posted September 16, 2016 Posted September 16, 2016 The one about being a school director sounds like some of the free games I've found over the years, most notably Hentai Highschool (only ever tried HHS+ though I know there are other incarnations of that particular game... that one was just the one I managed to get to work) (not a fan of how one turns everyone into sluts and/or blackmails them into submission in that game; also has a disappointing lack of pregnancy) and Ashford Academy, though I never actually managed to access any adult content in the latter. Still, unfortunately, not a fan of BDSM, though, so I think I will give those a pass for the time being. The kiss game where you are a school director is heavily focused on BDSM. Like you i always love adult games that contain gameplay too, cause otherwise i prefer watching a porn movie. Personally i love most if a game has gameplay and good interactive sex, which is optional though. By far the best i found so far is Skyrim with the great mods here, tweaked to my personal liking because of all those great customization options in the mod MCMs. It's just perfect, it is a good game by itself, and enchanched by adult content. Second place for me are already Kiss games, because they at least try to include gameplay. But they are a league below modded Bethesda games. I might have some other recommendations for you to try though: -A tale of forgotten lives http://www.loverslab.com/topic/58930-unity-3d-3d-adventureabandoned-a-tale-of-forgotten-lives/ Kerny does a wonderful job with his game, the best indy porn game i know. Currently takes about 3-4 hours to play through. -Whoremaster, this subversion http://www.pinkpetal.org/index.php?topic=3446.0 A brothel management sim, just with pictures though. I still like it, you don't need to neccessarily set up a brothel, you can also run a movie studio, arena, strip club, cow girl farm etc.. Default it is too easy to make money, so i always tweak it a bit by making houserules. There are thousands of girl packs, and you can also easily make them yourself if you want to. -Scoreville http://scoreville.net/ Dating sim like.
MadGenuis Posted September 16, 2016 Author Posted September 16, 2016 Eh, I don't particularly dislike VNs, I just don't in any way associate them with games... which they really aren't. I'd rather compare them to some kind of crossbreed between movies and comics, with occasional interactivity in some of them with varying degrees of significance. As such, while I'm not opposed to VNs per se, they need to meet significantly higher standards when it comes to story, characters, art and adult content than actual adult games do. Rhode's Fortress and the like might earn a pass based on interesting gameplay, characters and story despite the adult content generally not being to my tastes, but a VN needs to be to my tastes, it needs to look good and it needs to be interesting, or I'm just not going to bother. EDIT: In the case of Nekopara I was pretty much just lured in because I thought the catgirls were cute. My god, though... what a monumental waste of time, mostly. And I agree with your assessment of the value of rape (and probably dark themes in general) in adult games, it can certainly benefit character-development and story and aid in getting the player invested! Ironically I probably wouldn't even have frowned at the featuring of rape if it had been anything but an adult game in question, simply because I don't go to other media for the same reason I do these; heck, I play and enjoy plenty of games, watch plenty of movies and series and read comics that involve some really dark shit at times, and it generally just deepens the experience to have a reason to care about what happens. It can be the same in adult games, too, for that matter... as long as dark themes aren't the main focus. A character gets raped or otherwise exposed to something really nasty, okay, now it's time to make up for that in what is to come; in that kind of context I'd be perfectly fine with it, applaud it, even. If it's just one misfortune, failure, hardship and torment after another, though... well, might work as a game/comic/movie/whatever, but in my eyes it's unappealing in the specific category of adult media. As I said before - and if I interpret what you just wrote right I think we have pretty similar opinions in that regard - I'll still probably play Rhode's Fortress because it seems interesting and because I'll probably want to experience (or rather learn of, probably) the payoff for the hardships Rhode has to go through, but chances are that I'll be playing it as a game rather than an adult game... An odd distinction to make, perhaps, but... yeah. I, eh... actually tried Huniepop. Actually, I did a bit more than try it... I may have completed to 100%. Several times. Did I mention that I have completionist tendencies? I actually enjoyed the puzzles in that and some of the girls (I doubt all of the girls in that game is going to appeal to any one person, but really, there should be a special place in Hell for Audrey), but that said the adult entertainment value in the game is somewhat limited. Still, entertaining as far as puzzle games go, with the added motivation of the appreciation and nudie-pics of the girls (most of the time... fuck you, Audrey). EDIT: Only now noticed your post, xboronx. I have sunk a lot of hours into Skyrim with mods, too, and will probably continue to do so (and Oblivion... and FalloutNV... and probably will with Fallout 4 as well, once its time comes). My main problem with Skyrim (minor though it may be, as evidenced by the fact that I play it anyways for hours upon hours and generally enjoy the experience) is that there (for me) always is just one or two things or that don't work... Never the same thing on two different installs, but always something. Typically related to body scaling, but yeah. Great fun anyways. Another thing that annoys me about playing heavily modded Bethesda-games is also that they tend to start crashing... a lot. Fast travel? Crash and try again. Go through a door? Crash before you succeed. Rest? How about a crash first? Crashing on quicksave? Why don't you just rip out my still-beating heart why you're at it?! I quicksave every five seconds, for goodness' sake! Ahem... Yeah. Small inconsistent things. Also: hold on now, let's just take a step back right there... tell me, eh... hmm... When you say that you can run your business in Whoremaster as a "cow girl farm", do you mean what I think you mean?
Thickthighsmallfeet Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Like many brother sims you can train the girls to do many things. From basic literacty and house hold cleaning to sex and then the more fetish stuff. This often includes impregnation and lactation choices. My issue is that it often uses free or stolen art as it is impractical to have unique art for so many girls in so many scenes. Of the brothel sims that has been around for years off the top of my head there is Whoremaster, Slavemaker and Jack o Nine Tails. In terms of gameplay I prefer Jack as it is a bit harder and again, darker. If you're the type to get attached to and want to keep the slave this is probably not the one you want though. It is quite challenging to keep a profit and rank up your abilities in the latest versions. It probably has less art in it though. In these games cowgirls generally refer to the girls being modified to the point they are producing milk constantly. The good thing about these games is that there is generally a buyer/npc who is into the same fetishes that you are.

Crashwise Skyrim improved a lot for me since i use Mod Organizer. Unless i install too many early alpha access mods. Fallout NV was worse this way though, and i hope that Fallout 4 or TES 6 are even more stable once they come out Also: hold on now, let's just take a step back right there... tell me, eh... hmm... When you say that you can run your business in Whoremaster as a "cow girl farm", do you mean what I think you mean? Yes. You just have to keep in mind that it is a text/pictures game, so you only see milking pictures then and read text. But milking output depends on breast size, pregnancy, experience. You have about 50 jobs in total you can assign your girls to do, about half of them in your brothel buidlings and the others in the other buildings you can buy, the farm, hospital, community centre, arena and movie studio. You don't need to assign them to prostitution at all or you can limit it to only certain sex acts like only lesbian or oral sex allowed. Girls are either slaves or free girls, you can also free slaves or enslave the free girls. You can be as nice or evil as you want to.
uman2631 Posted September 17, 2016 Posted September 17, 2016 Since we're talking about them ... one of the reasons I really like Corruption of Champions (CoC) is the level of sex description is really very, very good. Best I've seen. And it allows for a pretty wide variety of game play -- you can play straight, gay, bi, human, futa, and so on. Never have come across any others like it, except TiTs, which I dont think is anywhere near as good. Are there any other games where the descriptions are as good as that? I did start playing a few of those RPG Maker games, and the ones I have played so far are lame by comparison.

Might be worth checking out http://www.tfgamessite.com They have a lot of games that contain some form of transformation and/or transgender element and even a short non-TF section. Some of them have exellent writing and you can search the db in various ways, plus the forum is very helpful.
kandrew123 Posted September 18, 2016 Posted September 18, 2016 If you don't mind mind some light homosexual content, trap quest is pretty good, you can choose to start as a male or a female, and whether you can transform into a female if staring as a male. It's less about traps and more about bimbofying the PC, though there are numerous "traps" spread throughout the dungeon that will feminize your character if triggered. I believe it is a rouge-like, so the map will change for each playthrough. It's mostly text-based, though there are images for items and characters, including one displaying your PC, however, there are none for scenes. Cursed is another where you start out as a male, but shortly you are transformed into a woman, and play through the rest of the game as such (unless you trigger the futa TF) This one is completely text based Girl life is exactly what it sounds like, you live life as a girl. In the start menu, you choose whether you want to be transformed into a girl, or if you start as one. I don't know for sure if there is any gay content, since i've always opted for the female start. There are some stark grammar and spelling errors, as the original text is russian, and some parts remain untranslated; however most has been and it is still easy to discern what is going on, especially since there is and image pack for this game. It has no definitive end that I know of, as you start in highschool and grow up, the game spans years, allowing you to work on school, graduate and get a job, eventually buying a home and a car, and starting a family as well. It has incredible depth for such a simple game, end you will likely never run out of content any time soon if you enjoy this type of thing Free Cities is a comletely text based slave management game where you buy, sell, train, and modify slaves, as well as modify the culture of your society upon attaining enough renown. Your involvement with the slaves can be as intimate or detached as you like, training each and every one personally, maintaining a small inner circle of your favorites, or delegating all slave management to the personal assistant and headgirl. This one is updated regularly, with new content added most Mondays, though the author does this as a hobby, so he sometimes must delay the next release, as he can't put stuff off to work on it full time, but he's pretty reliable. It also has a sizable community, and he takes feedback from fans, occasionallt incorporating toggleable modpacks created by fans who know how to code. Changing genres, Tobihime is a sprite based H-game, and it's basically angry birds, except its princesses and monster girls fighting assorted monsters but with great pixel art and h-scenes. You can breed your starting princess with monsters you fight to gain more monster-girls, as well as unlocking more princesses as you play to do the same with. You can even cross breed the monster-girls with certain monsters to create OP hybrids, essential if you choose to play Maniac difficulty. One major downside is that it's all moonrunes, but the UI is so simple that after fiddling around a little, you shouldn't have any difficulty playing. You can buy it on DLSite and you may or may not find some individuals of ill repute that may or may not possess ill-legitimate copies of the game on ULMF The rest of the games i mentiond can be found on TFGames site or on their related blogs, and Free Cities also has it's own Sub-reddit, and the author will occasionally answer questions on the games thread on the Hentai/Alternative board on 4Chan.
MadGenuis Posted September 19, 2016 Author Posted September 19, 2016 Lots of new suggestions over the weekend; they've been added to the list of things to look into, thanks! As to reporting on what I've been looking into in the meantime, I've continued playing Rhode's Fortress some, and for the time being I'm slightly concerned about how little the combat mechanic is involved. I realize that it isn't too relevant to the story as it is now and figure that it will probably change later on, though, so I'm pretty okay with it. I wish that I had more influence over the story - at the moment it feels as though I have none whatsoever - but thus far it's been all right, so I figure the horrors are yet to come. EDIT: Remembered another thought I had about it being that the music seems really out of place/over-the-top at times, most notably when Gonzo is involved. What is actually happening: Gonzo is pretty much molesting Rhode, but Rhode is clearly allowing it to happen and, though saying she disapproves, is clearly enjoying it. What the music is saying: OH MY GOD, EVIL IS HERE! DISASTER STRIKES! THIS IS THE END! AAAAHHH!!! I tried Custom Maid 3D 2, and while I like the art-style, it does seem as though it shares most, if not all, of the issues I had with the first one when I tried it, namely that it really is pretty tedious. It doesn't help that nearly all of the dialogue with the maids (except the secretary) seems to be untranslated, making it very difficult to accomplish any kind of emotional involvement with them. Aside from that I just get confused about some of the stat-changes that happen when certain actions are performed during playroom time... "Elegance", for example, appears to only ever lower regardless of what I do, and actions occasionally result in gaining or losing points in areas that seem completely unrelated. Might be something to play around with from time to time just to appreciate the art and animations, but generally it doesn't seem like a very entertaining game. And finally I tried the Whoremaster version that was linked here, and actually ended up spending a significant amount of time playing that. Surprisingly addictive that one, somehow... not sure if that's a good thing. Be that as it may, while I figure from the game that it probably is possible to be nice, it seems to me as though the game really wants you to be evil. I mean, I've had three objectives thus far: kidnap X amount of girls, steal X amount of gold, and steal X amount of gold in Y weeks... all three of those seem decidedly evil, to be honest. It also seems to me as though the game really punishes you for freeing slaves and offers no real kind of compensation: it raises the girl's rebelliousness to make her refuse to do her job more often, lowers the income from her when she does do her job, makes her accommodations more expensive, and doesn't appear to have any positive influence on my disposition. I figure the girl might be happier from being free (?), but even my slave girls are usually at 100% happiness all the time and think that my character is their one true love, so I fail to see any advantage in doing so. Does it make one more evil to brand new girls as slaves? Eh... Another aspect that I'm slightly confused about is the gang management. Admittedly I completely failed at this the first while, right up until I realized that healing potions are alpha and omega for gang management, but aside from guarding, recruiting and training, I find it pretty hard to figure out which options in this category would ever be considered non-evil. Stealing is obviously evil, and I'd presume kidnapping is too. "Catacombs" seems like it should be a neutral option, but then they bring back kidnapped girls from it anyways, which makes me feel as though that is somewhat evil as well. The rest (sabotage, spy on girls, recapture and acquire territory) all seem somewhat ambiguous to me... I want to try to make my disposition good rather than evil, but I'm honestly not sure what I can do without becoming evil. (Also, letting customers that can't pay go seems to do nothing... at this rate I feel as though I really should have taken their daughters). So, what can be done to raise disposition rather than lower it? And can objectives, even the ones with time-limits, be safely ignored if they require you to do something that you don't morally agree with?
