There is a way to cheese it that I've discovered: start solo, then add everyone else at once. 1

Some features require DLC, but WW doesn't require them. e.g. there are features for Get Together like "have sex" for clubs. Kinda obsolete with Sex parties, imho 1

In one of them, I replicated the bug, but not in the others. I started a new game, a new 'Sims', and did not replicate the bug. It's working fine. For me, the main cause is something related to a broken save game. I didn't make any custom content changes, neither before nor after the update. Â Using an old save game from 3 months ago, it worked very well. For me, it's some corruption in the saved game that was exposed with the last update.
