Is this game safe to play now?

I'm wondering if there is a way to set gender preferences to static rather than dynamic? I've been looking but can't seem to find anything in Wicked Whims or any other settings/mods I have installed.

Hi,

Hope this helps...in my game under the WW Settings tab, there is an option to designate that sims gender as either male/female/dynamic.  Choose the preferred gender. 

 

Next...Under that same tab, there is an option to choose their participation as either Top/Bottom/dynamic.  Choose preferred position. 

 

Sorry, can't remember exactly where under the WW settings...perhaps in Sex, or look under Relationships?  There is an option to set gameplay for sims to either refuse or accept flirtations from the same sex.  Choose preferred option. 

 

There is also an option to remain faithful to their partner that can be turned either on or off. 

 

When in CAS choose partner preferences as either Male or Female.  Set the Exploring Option to "No".

ich habe folgendes Problem mit WW festgetellt. Sämtliche Techtelmechtel-Interaktionen (Dusche,Bett, Besenkammer) sind nicht vorhanden, solange zwei Sims keinen WW-Sex miteinander hatten. Die Techtelmechtel-Interaktionen von EA sollten durch Ihren Mod nicht blockiert werden. Bitte bereinigen Sie dies.

Not sure I understand the issue, maybe it was lost in translation, but WW wouldn't block your Sims' ability to WooHoo.

vielen Dank für Ihre Nachricht. Um dieses zu erklären gebe ich noch Informationen hinzu. Bei verheirateten Sims oder Sims die bereits Sex hatten sind die Interaktionen mit Techtelmechtel nicht blockiert. Dies geschieht aber nur bei Sims, die noch keinen Sex hatten. Da WW ein sexspezifischer Mod ist, gehe ich davon aus, dass WW diese WooHoointeraktionen blockiert. Vielleicht können Sie in Ihrem Spiel dies ausprobieren (möglichst mit neuen Sims über CAS (keine verheirateten  oder verlobten )und diese in ein Haus einziehen lassen, wo Bett und Dusche vorhanden sind. Sollte dann bei Ihnen für das Bett oder Dusche die Interaktion "WooHoo" machen erscheinen, dann liege ich wohl falsch,

WW can block woohoo. There's a switch in settings. I forget where.

Having difficulty with loading female Sims. I've downloaded several. And EVERY ONE of them have some weird default strapless pink bra. They can get naked from their bottoms (so I know WW is working) I've tried Sims from LL. Same. I've tried the ones that come with the base game. Same. I can't find any clothing item in any of the CC that is a pink bra. I can add any clothing items - even other bras and bathing suits with plunging necklines, But as soon as I remove those tops, BACK comes the pink bra. Anyone have any ideas or suggestions, before I lose my f*cking mind????

So, there are a couple of different possibilities, but almost certainly one of your sims that you downloaded came with a default replacement for either the female body top or the skin. If it's still showing up while using Wicked Whims, then my guess is a skin, but it's not a guarantee, because it is possible for mods to override the Wicked Whims default body (which is itself already an override of the EA body). Do you know how to use the Body Selector in Wicked Whims? If so, first thing I would do is go into that with a female sim and note all of her body parts. Do they all say Wicked Whims Default? Or EA/Maxis Default? Or something else? Whatever they say, click on the female top part and change it to anything else available on the list, and see if the bra disappears. If that works, you've found the problem. Whichever body part they had before has been overridden. You'll need to find the guilty mod file and delete it.

 

Try that out and come back and tell us what happens, and someone might be able to help you further, based on what you find.

Are you talking about after the March 17 patch? If you've been waiting to update, you should be good now. Most problems were fixed by the hotfix the next day, and any remaining issues seem to be gone after the second hotfix a week later. You may need to update a small handful of UI-related mods, but otherwise it should be safe. Certainly WW, and the other usual suspects around these parts like Nisa and Basemental are working just fine.

Thank you so much for your reply. Appreciated. However, due to this stuff happening, and the prior 2 days of other seemingly unrelated frustration with this game, I decided that I might live longer without it. 🙂 So I uninstalled it. I'm done. I've had this game for about 3 years. Previously, I played it without any problems, and only the base game updates caused my issues. Now, I can't even get to square one.

 

As an update, I uninstalled and then reinstalled the game. Again. Deleted all mods. Base game loaded fine. Installed WW and a couple of LL Sims, and the WW fly-out bubbles on all in-game Sims had a bunch of blank response options where there should be WW-related option choices. Pink bra still there on all Sims. Nothing was working properly. It just seemed to have endless different problems. So anyway, I do appreciate your response.

Sorry it didn't work out. On second thought, I may have gone too the complicated answer too quickly. And I apologize if this is a dumb suggestion, but you do know when you click on a female sim and select "Remove top" she will usually then be wearing a bra, right? You have to do "Remove top" a second time to get the bra off.

Well, not in my experience. I've actually never had a female Sim be wearing a bra when I would click on the symbol in clothing for a top, and hit the "X" to remove it. Anyway, thanks again. 🙂

Oh, you were in CAS? I go back to saying it's probably a default replacement then. If you decide to give it one more go, start by installing the game, WW, and absolutely nothing else. Don't even download a single sim. Create one yourself. See if that solves it. If it does, then you know for sure one of the sims you DL'd came with a default replacement that you didn't want.

Good luck. If it still doesn't work, I have one other piece of advice I always forget because I don't use it myself, but don't use OneDrive to sync your documents folder. If you have a problematic mod and you delete it, there is every possibility that OneDrive will put it back. I'm sure there are ways around it, but mod users have lost hair trying to deal with the problems caused by OneDrive.

Now it's telling me my Steam DLC is NOT installed. I have 5 or 6.....  like Get to Work, Island Living, Get Famous, and 2 or 3 more. I've tried everything possible that's on Steam, and nothing helped.

It's possible that I may not have had as many issues if I had got the game through EA.

Anyway, just thought I would update you on my issues. Finally, they seem to be solved (fingers crossed) The problem with my DLC not showing was that apparently, there's a command in the main folder that lets you allow or deny some of the DLC. This line was in my game and listed the DLC as numbers. It made those packs not load. Once I edited that, all my DLC popped up. Still not sure if the pink bra issue is solved, but so far so good.

 

In case I neglected to tell you before, I certainly appreciate all the help you gave me, trying to solve my issues. Thank you, and have a great Easter!

Hey! Why haven't you updated the main program? It's practically guaranteed that problems will occur if the versions aren't matched. I know this comment will get deleted, but aren't you clearly using a Kracked version?
