NexusCron Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 NSC was updated to work with 1.5, tho its not 100% Utopia, cause no megastructures for them yet.
Nessa Posted April 11, 2017 Author Posted April 11, 2017 Well... got maybe 10 or more new slave outfits going here. I'm in the mood to keep going so I'll keep making some more. Should have plenty of variety for slaves with the update. A peak: Domestic slave clothes will range from maid to kinky. (But mostly kink.) I'll be using the fancier kink type collars here with various accessories. Battle thralls armor + collars working out well. I'm giving all armor a sort of rusty look so it won't be too similar to existing pretty armors. Laborers get standard metal collars with rags. (Probably with one without apparel outfit.) Cattle get ugly chains only. Since it seems charismatic aliens are almost always classified as domestic slaves by the AI, I've made all primitive elves have charismatic as a trait. (Except for savages.) For guys... toying around with what to do for the "maid" outfit. Thinking of a bowtie and nothing else. Of course since I need a less in-your-face outfit, maybe some kind of butlerish looking thing.
Princessity Posted April 11, 2017 Posted April 11, 2017 Dawww it's so cute! <3 Looks like all my elves are going to be authoritarians from now on XD
Nessa Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 Update!!!! It was taking too long so I just released without updating the guy slave clothes. So they'll have the usual. Just girls get specialisation at the moment. Notes: Utopia theoretically should build avian megastructures. Didn't have time to test this. Let me know if it works. Utopia may or may not be required. If somebody doesn't have Utopia, let me know if it works or not. (Or somebody please test to find out, I have no time to mess with this at present.) Let me know how the slave specialization works out. Premade Civs are off by default, Ascari are off also, but primitives still show up. Only the elven trait remains, everything else migrated to civics. Let me know what you think about bonuses, etc. Elves have the charismatic trait because the AI prioritizes species with that trait for domestic slaves. That's going to be it for awhile (barring bugs). Tons of work needs doing for both the Asari and Drow at the moment.
Just Sunbabe Posted April 12, 2017 Posted April 12, 2017 Thanks lots for all the hard work, Nessa. Went ahead and tested the mod with Utopia off, and everything seems to work fine, at least during custom empire creation and starting a new game.Did encounter an issue with megastructures though. I tested building a habitat, and during construction, it had the avian habitat model. When it finished, it defaulted to the (I'm assuming) mammalian habitat model. Not sure why, and I only tested it once with habitats, but it certainly isn't an emergency.Besides that, only encountered a small issue with double modifiers listed in the new civics descriptions - one from the civics modifiers itself, and one from localisation. Just dropped a # in front of "description =" on each and it fixed the problem. Thanks again for the update! c:
Nessa Posted April 12, 2017 Author Posted April 12, 2017 Yeah the double modifier effect thing I think is due to me not updating to 1.5.1 before testing. I'll fix that for the next version. Thanks for the info on the Megastructures. I told it to point to avian but didn't have a chance to test it. Next update I'll put in placeholders for the new elf megastructures that absolutely point to avian in the meantime.
Nessa Posted April 13, 2017 Author Posted April 13, 2017 Could always erase the requirement. Or just wait for the Drow. Eilistraeens aren't stupid peace hippies.
Nessa Posted April 14, 2017 Author Posted April 14, 2017 Yeah, except they're not stupid. The Sidh have their uses though. As slaves.
Nessa Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Does this mod require any dlcs to play Very good question. I have no idea. I'll always have all the DLCs but I'm not sure if anything specifically requires one. Anybody know if the slave types require Utopia? If so, then it may require that for the slave clothes aspect. At some point I'll turn it off and see what happens. But for now, I don't know.
Onimonipea Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 According to the Stellaris Wiki, the advanced slave types do require the DLC.
Nessa Posted April 16, 2017 Author Posted April 16, 2017 Hmm. Wonder what happens if you don't have that active and enslave somebody? Have to do a test...
Princessity Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Nothing ^^ You'll have acess only to the content unlocked by DLC, but otherwise DLC and non-DLC users have the exact same files in their Stellaris folder so the game won't crash or display missing assets or anything.
Guest Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 question does this mod require any dlc or is it just the standard game thanks
Porev Posted April 16, 2017 Posted April 16, 2017 Do you people even read? Yes it does work without DLCs, I've just tested it. Elf slaves simply use the slavery_normal outfit and the game does not let you change that.
grandadmiral Posted April 17, 2017 Posted April 17, 2017 By the way, I absolutely love the clothes, all of them (yes the sidh ones in particular , but all of them look great ) I wonder if you could do like a human race with them, like related to the sidh government. I just want to RP as the Sidh... civilizing... the galaxy in their way. Thanks!
Nessa Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Unfortunately... elf clothes won't work on humans. They use different scales and animations and such. However, I am planning to update my Real Human Slaves mod and if I get a moment, I'm going to do the Real Humanoid Slaves as well. (Humanoids need some clothing love.) In the meantime, there's always the Asari.
Nessa Posted April 18, 2017 Author Posted April 18, 2017 Yep, that's it. Just change it to.... possible = { ethics = { OR = { text = civic_tooltip_militarist value = ethic_militarist value = ethic_fanatic_militarist } } } That should do it, and then your version of the SIdh aren't stupid! (Why oh why did I make the writeup for the Sidh all about peace? LE SIGH. )
Porev Posted April 18, 2017 Posted April 18, 2017 Yes, this is the prerequisite for the Sidh civic. Change this to: possible = { ethics = { OR = { text = civic_tooltip_militarist value = ethic_militarist value = ethic_fanatic_militarist } } or remove the condition completely. You still have to change the prescripted Sidh country data in prescripted_countries/elven_prescripted_countries.txt. Look for "elvenciv2" block and change ethic="ethic_pacifist" to ethic="ethic_militarist" Or you could make a custom empire from default Sidh so you don't have to change Nessa's files. Edit: Dammit, I'm late. Well...

However, I am planning to update my Real Human Slaves mod and if I get a moment, I'm going to do the Real Humanoid Slaves as well. (Humanoids need some clothing love.) In the meantime, there's always the Asari. about that... they don't fit exactly, but just a bit of T&E got a couple of outfits looking almost fine on humans. (the snake ones) I'm sure its possible to change the outfits to a "human" shape. I just have a couple of things, for one I love the clothes for the elves in general, and for my own purposes I could probably get them to fit, my only thing is the code. I could get some of the humans wearing the sidh outfits, but not the whole population or the leaders, and even when the ideology is not sidh. but I think this should be a minor coding issue (unless you worked your ass off to get the first one working, in which case there really is no chance for me ) In case it's not possible, could you create an ideology for the Real humanoid slaves mod which allows all the humans to have a certain set of clothes? or have certain clothes especially made for them? In any case, fantastic job with the mod! brilliant work PS: Actually one more thing, would it be possible for the clothes to work on both sidh and eilisaee? somehow? I tried owner = { has_civic = civic_elven_sidh } owner = { has_civic = civic_drow_eilisaee } as well as and = { owner = { has_civic = civic_elven_sidh }} or = { owner = { has_civic = civic_drow_eilisaee }} where appropriate, but then all pop just become default

It's "eilistraee", not "eilisaee".
grandadmiral Posted April 19, 2017 Posted April 19, 2017 Try this: trigger = { OR = { owner = { has_civic = civic_elven_sidh } owner = { has_civic = civic_elven_eilistraee } } } BTW you've made a typo. It's "eilistraee", not "eilisaee". thanks I didn't make that mistake in the code since I copied it straight from the drow code. I tired that (non capitalized), everywhere I had the "sidh" code I would try and put the "eilistraee" code right after it, still no real result. I'm not sure what's wrong... ok, it's working now, that was a bit wierd. Otherwise, thanks!
Guest arbiter104 Posted April 22, 2017 Posted April 22, 2017 The ship designs in this are incredible. You might have the best ship mod out there.
