ach22 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Adding Fade-Outs and Fade-Ins to DOAX3/Paradise Movie Transitions Hello! If you are like me and are stitching together multiple paradise/doax3 videos here's how you can add a nice transition fade out to black/fade in between movies instead of seeing your girl teleport (unless you're using a Nightcrawler skin then maybe you want that ). Take a good look at the pattern you see inside of the 3 colored boxes, it's key. The first and most important thing to understand is the transition is broken into 3 parts that you will have to figure out & this is what they mean: BEGIN FADE OUT FRAME# -fade out 30 COMPLETELY FADED TO BLACK FRAME/BEGIN FADE IN FRAME# -fade in 30 FINAL FADE IN FRAME# Let's say when stitching together your movie that the final frame of movie 1 and the transition point to movie 2 is frame 1000. You will have to subtracted 29 from 1000, and then add 1000 and keep these numbers aside somewhere. In this case they are 971, 1000 and 1029. Thus, your cells should look like this: FRAME 971 (30 frames before transition) fade out 30 FRAME 1000 (transition point) fade in 30 FRAME 1029 (30 frames after transition) And since your final fade out does not have a fade in transition, your final fade out of the vid will look like this (let's say your movie ends at frame 2000): FRAME 1971 (30 frames before transition) fade out 30 FRAME 2000 (fade to black point) So when constructing your own movie you'll have to write down where the movies join together and plug these into the .tdpack So now that you understand the math and how it should look, drop your .tdpack file into the movie tool, go to MOVIE DATA, then INDEX 1, scroll to the very bottom and start adding your frames by right clicking a row and choosing INSERT (the row will be inserted to the row ABOVE where you right clicked): On this window, PARAMETER will determine if the row added will be the FRAME COUNT, the FADE IN, or the FADE OUT, you'll enter four numbers there to create it. Leave "Count" the way it is: 0016 = Frame count 0030 = Fade Out 0016 = Fade In At this point you should save yourself the headache and worry about getting the frame counts/fade out cells all in order first before you begin adding the frame data. Plugging in all the numbers is easy, getting the cells to line up in order can be tricky. Be careful because it has to be in this order. If you screw up, you can just right click the row and delete and start over. A fucked up .tdpack file won't crash your game, you'll just have wonky looking transitions and they're easy to fix if you know what to look for. Once you have your cells looking like mine, simply added in the frame count data for your BEGIN FADE OUT, your TRANSITION POINT and the FINISHED FADING IN. Save the .tdpack, inject back into 358142g and enjoy!

lovislikefire Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Well, I tried to inject Ayane's motion data + camera data into the Momiji files. Total fail. The camera was under water most of the time and I saw no Momiji. I did update the frame count when injecting the files. So just swapping motion data and camera data between files doesn't seem to work. What am I doing wrong? lovislikefire EDIT: I tried again and chose Frame Count Difference: Update Imported Only and managed to get Momiji to appear. The first time I just told the program to Fill By Last Frame. The camera data file that I imported is not working though. Momiji is walking through water and the camera is sometimes under the water. Do I need to use the Motion CSV Controller? If so, how do I get the motions right?

ach22 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 I'm running into some problems making longer movies...don't have any more time to test this weekend but at first I thought it was a # of camera frames issue that's causing my game to permanently load ayane's giant paradise movie I made. However now it looks to be file size. Seems to be around >320kb for the .tdpack is where it chokes. On the upside, your actual motion files can be as long as you want, if you cut your camera length but your motion files go beyond that to stay under 320kb, your video will still play so it's not a strict "time" cut off, your camera will just sort of linger. Those using static camera mods will probably have many x longer videos Will need to do more testing later.
shies0624 Posted July 31, 2016 Posted July 31, 2016 Hmmm. I can't seem to find accompanying hand and face data for the common INGAME motion files. I use blender to view ingame .mpm but only hip can move ( motion can still use in paradise , haven't found that peep file lol)

Also, there are no BODY csv files except for the ones in your Motion Data Sample folder. Only Hips, Hand Left and Hand Right. Should I use the Hips file in the Motion CSV Controller? But I get an invalid input message when I try to do load a file and save it. I tried using one of the BODY files in your folder and it gave me an invalid input message as well. I'm sure many other people would like to know how to inject their favourite character into all Tropical Paradise movies but so far the only thing that seems to work for me is just injecting the motion data. The camera won't follow the body movement for the new data. If these tools can do that, I can't figure out how. The easiest thing for a layman like myself would be if one could simply point to a different character in the original files. Inject a command to use Kasumi data instead of Ayane data and so on. Is that at all possible? Thanks for your constant search for new methods. lovislikefire

canderes Posted August 2, 2016 Posted August 2, 2016 Some of the mpms package more than one set of tracks. The generic ones for the story cutscenes have the face body and hands all stored in the same file; look at the animation list on the left when you open a file in the motion data tool.
