One of the truths about cats is that many people simply don't bother to even attempt to understand them, and thus are spring-loaded to the dog position.  Dogs are much better at mimicking certain human communicative behaviors that jibe well with humans in general.  But if you take the time to learn cats' language, you will know that cats are not the uncommunicative snobs that so many humans dismiss them as.

Cats are traditionally portrayed as graceful creatures, when in reality they are unintenionally (also intentionally at times) very destructive things... lol
