Thanks for your fast reply! I'll reload an earlier save and try again later.

 

Btw, i really like the golden chastity items. I combined them with devious equip to have a full set (bra, belt, gag, yoke, etc), maybe you can add this as optional replacers for the virginity items?

 

If you care, some small things i noticed: It's confusing that your character has to "touch" the statues of vile and nocturnal to continue the quest, instead of "activating" them.

After staying with cassia, nocturnal runs at the dragonborn and may not find a "path" to the player. They cant move closer to her (unless they have "dark souls combat" installed, which allows somersaults in all directions), so after some seconds she teleports in and begins dialogue about the shout. Maybe you could instead have her open the cage from the outside, before talking to the player?

 

I've also instelled the mod "sisterhood of dibella" , i hope that won't cause conflicts (havent completed the main quest there)? Also if you haven't completed the story script for your mod, maybe you can somehow integrate it into "sisterhood" or offer some optional support for it (side stories)?

 

For more items, I'm wanting to allow "adventuring" and so staying away from devices that are too restrictive. Gag for example is no good if you are a mod about shouting a lot :P  Been trying actually to make a gag that still allows shouting but not talking, but Devious Devices does not make that very possible for me to do.

 

I agree the statues should have activators instead of "touch". Added to my to-dos.

 

I'm also not happy with Nocturnal's Dialogue at the cage, but I think the fix will be as easy as allowing her to start dialogue with greater distance.

 

I've been thinking about that Sisterhood mod already too. I've used it. I doubt there will be a conflict but have not tested with it, and I will need to be careful as I expand the story.

One more thing about the stuck at the wall problem above. If you see your quest stage and it's not already 90, that's a clue for me, then you can try typing this:

 

SetStage VirginTraining 90

 

After that, see if you can THEN learn the shout

Edit: Anal torch is also bugged after the cage scene, flying in the right top of the screenshot.

I tried some things from the internetz to solve the wordwall bug, to no avail.

I solved the problem with these console commands (using TES5Edit to locate the shout ID).

 

SetStage VirginTraining 100

player.teachword xx038abc

(xx being shout like a virgin's mod ID)

Shout ID I have no idea how to get it. You'd need to use player.teachword as far as I know. Even if I retrieved the ID in my game somehow, yours would be different.

 

Next stage you want is 100.

 

Later when you try to learn the 2nd word, that's not going to work either since you've not learned the first word. I have to figure out why you are not able to learn the first word. Looking at the code for possibilities and I'm currently stumped.

 

Your character looks smaller then normal in that screenshot, or am I imagining things? maybe jump around there's a trigger there that is to know if the character is "looking" at the word on the wall, but never found it to be difficult to trigger it.

 

Has your character learned other shouts already, or would this be the first? Do you have any other mod that alter shouts in any way?

So we don't know cause of the problem, but you are saying those console commands are letting you move forward right? Next question, I'd like to know if you are able to successfully learn the 2nd word when you've gotten to that point.

By your description and the point you reach, and the word being faintly visible, the only conditions required to learn the word are, you did not already learn it, you are at stage 90, and you are not in combat.

 

So this makes me wonder if you are somehow seen as still in combat somehow? Seems unlikely when you have tried more than once, by for example, maybe you are running past enemies each time and they are in pursuit? I might remove this combat condition for future

 

re. the torch bugged out - I've seen this too. Sometimes goes away with save/reload, or total restart of game, otherwise you have to reinsert it (once you have a key for it lol). I doubt I can fix this easy, the same bug occurs if you use the mod I got this asset from.

 

EDIT3:

 

Release 1.31 is posted.

I confirmed that if I'm in combat, I cannot learn the shout. Guy shooing arrows from behind a wall and I could barely notice. That's fixed now. I don't know if this is your problem. I made some other tweaks in hopes of making your problem go away. I'd not blame you if you don't want to try it all over again because in your situation you'd need to do a clean save and start over to be sure. But if you do try it let me know. Could try it without a clean save first just incase you get a positive result.

 

Your other two suggestions are included in the release too. Thanks for this, hopefully we've improved for others.

I have no other mods installed that explicitly alter shouts, though i didnt read the notes from all of them. Only one that definately changes shouts is USLEEP (unofficial legendary patch).

Data points I'd like to get, but only if you do feel like spending more time on it. If wanting to minimize time maybe just #3 for me please.

  1. If you use 1.31 but with a clean save, does the problem still persist?
  2. If the problem does still persist, what happens if you use the console commands you listed above, then go on and get word 2. Does the 2nd word work for you? (clue for exiting if you've not found it: Behind Statue - Leap of Faith - hmmm why is that cage here?)
  3. If you do a clean save, then use the new MCM option "Bypass Story", does the shout successfully get learned?

I'm ruling out now: Character size & Legendary patch/Racemenu - I always use them too

 

None of the other factors you've listed seem likely but I can't be sure yet. I'm not familiar with using a custom race. I think 2 and 3 above will result in a yes answer ruling out "learning the shout", leaving us with only with "activating the word wall". Now for that there's the chance it thinks you already have the shout (the only other condition beyond quest stage and a few proximity detectors. Combat is now removed as a condition but can't be sure without that clean save).

So cassie just runs up to me and dose nothing . Whats up ?

 

Are you talking about your first encounter with Cassia (she brings you a letter and that starts the main quest)?

 

Or are you talking about after that first encounter?

 

Normally in both cases she should "force greet" you with dialogue unless you were busy and she could not, then try to talk to her yourself, and if that fails, just wait to see her again (change to new city if you are in a rush to see her).

 

If this is not your first meeting with her, it's also possible to meet her as she randomly wanders, and will sometimes have nothing to say which is also normal.

Will those virgin devices work on other female NPCs or followers? 

 

Yes they will work like any devious device. 4 of them also work on male.

 

As an example, when you meet Cassia who is part of the main quest, and can be a random encounter too, you will see that she's wearing them.

1.: The problem did persist in 1.31, yes.

2.: As i said in my earlier post, i got the 2nd word (i did that after installing 1.31).

3.: Yes i got both shouts in that case.

 

I just replayed the mod without the bypass and my latest save CTD each time entering vile's shrine. So i loaded a much earlier save where i never played your mod and i got the first shout. So i guess something in my save is broken (or the clean save method is not clean enough). That save was also before i changed my race and became a lich (mod undeath).

The Chastity Piercing and the Chastity Strap On will work exactly like a regular "open" Chastity belt (there are two types and the "open" type still allow anal). So these two virgin devices will prevent your follower from losing her virginal virginity only.

 

I don't have much experience in equipping followers with device devices. I know you can keep the key etc. All I can say for sure is they will work the same as any devious device.

That rules out it being related to this mod then. I'm glad we got to the bottom of it, although we have not ruled out that custom race.

 

Still you caused me to likely make that word wall more resilient so it was worth it. And thanks for the other items, hopefully you saw the better shrine interaction and Nocturnal at the cage. I also think I have a way to solve the anal torch glitch... I find it happens when you die... is that your experience too?

If not, while it might not have changed your above scenario, its a good one to know of. That said, many people say you just need to NOT change up your mods without starting a new game. I find that impossible advice to follow, but it's the only sure way.

To confirm your status, type in the console

 

Help Virgin 3

You will then see global variables, the first is for Cassia called "VirginEnableCassia"

 

It should be set to 1 if you've had your first shout detected, and not started the first quest.

 

If it's 1, then try this... save the game, load it, travel to a new city (fast travel is fine), and then Cassia should show up so you can try talking again. She should be force greeting.

 

If not set to 1, then check for a letter in your inventory and read it to progress the quest.

 

If not set to 1, and no letter, try shouting again, then the Help Virgin 3, and see if it's now set to 1. It's must be 1 for Cassia to show up (1 means the mod detected your first shout).

 

 

Let me know how that goes

I'm getting a conflict with Cursed Loot (5.5) and the newest version of this mod. 

When you go into the MCM and go to the Cursed loot menu, any item you choose in the list brings up a blank page and the whole MCM just stops working at that point. You can back out and try to select other mod MCMs, but they don't work until you exit and come back into MCM, then they work again until you try to choose cursed loot.

I tried this on a new game as well, same thing. 

The only other thing I did differently is upgrade to Sexlab 1.62, but as it stops happening when I take off this mod, I don't think that's an issue.

Yes, thanks for your efforts. I did notice some small changes.

The torch alignment error happens for me sometimes after sex szenes. I've got sexlab defeat installed, i usually dont die, unless falling too deep or other non creature deaths.

I don't use tools to clean my save. I move to a small cell, save, disable the mod and wait first for 24h ingame, then a few minutes real time, save and quit. Then i continue with the new mods (save in each case via console, separate new saves, not overwriting). I also have the SKSE option always on to remove orphaned scripts.

Weird. I used the MCM fix mod you suggested and at first it worked, but then I installed realvision (I was using a manual installation of ENB without real vision) and now I'm getting the same problem, only this time the MCM fix mod you suggested isn't solving the issue. 

 

Basically, if I have your mod on and Cursed loot, cursed loot stops working, period. I tried grabbing the tentacles with add item and equipping them and nothing happens. They're in inventory, but it's like they just don't do anything when you equip or unequip. They don't show up, no pop up text, etc.

 

Take your mod off, and the problem goes away. I'm a bit stumped. The only thing I can think is a 3rd mod is causing the issue between your mod and cursed loot to come up but which one I've no idea, since normally there's no issue. 

 

I'm doing this on a fresh game.

 

edit: nath92, are you using the new hdt for cursed loot's tentacles? I almost forgot, I put that on as well.

The fact that the MCM kicker mod made it work demonstrates that this is probably a conflict. If we can understand it better, it's possible I can improve something but I don't currently see any way I could be directly effecting just Cursed Loot.

 

Are you upgrading this mod, and if yes, are you understanding the need and how to Clean Save (directions for clean save are in my Installing section)? Lack of clean save could cause this, plus the Scene stopping which we've not explored further.

I was doing this all on new games.

 

I started a new game without real vision and it was fine, then started a new game with real vision back on. Now it's working fine.

 

Not sure why but oh well it works. :D

nice update, story is definetly getting better. Can you add quest makers for finding away out? one of the door do a half open, I supposed that was the door that leads to skyrim but nothing happened, so I had to use console to bypass the stage.

the nexus link u put doest show up...i am stil ltrying to sort the issue i have now started new game w/o shout like vergin and it working fine with cursed loot,when ill unlock the mai nquest for unrelenting shout ill try to activate your mod and let see if it work on new game
