PubliusNV Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Starting this morning, every page I go to on LL causes a Malwarebytes Anti-Malware warning pop-up that a malicious website has been blocked, and it names www dot terraclicks dot com. It wasn't happening last night, so I either got an update to Malwarebytes or something on the site changed. Anything to worry about? I can still read the forums, it's just an annoyance when the warning pops up.
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Probably your anti-malaware is referring to the ads that are on this site.
PubliusNV Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 That could be, I'm seeing a few ads that I've never seen before today.
Kriegera Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 I've got Malwarebytes and I'm not seeing anything.
PubliusNV Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Well, now it's stopped happening. Strange.
Ashal Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Googling "terraclicks" suggests it's something infecting your computer, rather than loverslab or any other site specifically.
PubliusNV Posted April 29, 2016 Author Posted April 29, 2016 Well, Malwarebytes blocks that link to "howtoremove" too I've run a complete malware and antivirus scan on my computer, and they found nothing wrong. I still see the popup warning about terraclicks on almost every LL page, unless I re-enable my ad blocker on LL, after which it goes away. I had disabled my ad blocker on LL due to your pleas to do so, but maybe I'll have to leave it enabled.

Same here, seeing the blocked website notice on every click even on the same page is getting very annoying. I understand that the ads help pay for this great site, but I am going to have to turn on the ad blocker before I go crazy. Could you imagine a internet without constantly warding off threats to infect your computer, think of all the time and money saved, not to mention the overall better performance. There is always someone out there that has to ruin everything.
Slorm Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 That's a confirm on that "howtoremove" link, Malwarebytes has the site blocked as malicious EDIT: I thought I remembered that name, here's a Malwarebytes blog article. Basically it's a scam ad network serving up malicious malvertising adverts infecting users with the Magnitude exploit kit. Here's a link to the article https://blog.malwarebytes.org/cybercrime/2016/04/magnitude-ek-activity-at-its-highest-via-adsterra-malvertising/ Basically they're just another scumbag ad network pumping out malware
Ashal Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Removed my link. It was top of the list when googling the term, only reason I linked it. No idea as to its actual status. Terraclick seems to be a local adware install that needs to be removed regardless of howtoremove though. Well, Malwarebytes blocks that link to "howtoremove" too If it's a local infection, it doesn't matter what link you goto. It injects itself and it's ads into any and all sites you visit whenever it wants to. Which in turn is triggering your malwarebytes.
Guest Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 https://www.patreon.com/loverslab Never have to deal with ads again. You also get "personal time" with Ashal. Oh, as to the topic I never had spyware/etc installed via this site, and have use Malwarebytes for years. I have gotten it via adult viewing material and just through normal browsing on nudie pages. I know Nexus had an issue a year + back about how some of their ads were malicious and Dark0ne had to dump one ad running service for another, so it could be what is happening now. (Trying to look at this from all sides since I don't have ads on LL anymore)

I am going to double my Patreon support right now! I just hope "it" is a good looking women of about 35 years.
Uncle64 Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 There is actual one nice software that work in background and can help you from installing those kind of "programs" It prevents all connections to all known sites that use those clickbait hijack softwares. It is free and it have been around for some years. Works fine. And it can remove them, and make your PC immune against them. I have used it almost since the first day it came out. You can run this whit your normal AV program. W10 detects it to, and turns off WindowDefender. So you need to activate that again https://www.safer-networking.org/ If you google for it dont open any site that dont have *.org The *.com domain is kidnapped by some nasty virus mongers have been that for atleast 2 years now.
Slorm Posted April 29, 2016 Posted April 29, 2016 Just to clarify, the infection itself comes from infected ads that appear to come from an ad network called AdsTerra which are pushing these ads. Quote from the article linked above: "In the past two weeks, we have documented over 400 unique malvertising incidents coming out of AdsTerra. These malicious advertisements were displayed on a variety of adult sites and torrent portals and the ultimate payload was the Cerber Ransomeware."
nufndash Posted April 30, 2016 Posted April 30, 2016 Ok, so I just submitted my Patreon pledge, $10 bucks a month seems like a steal for personal time with a 35 yr. old good looking woman. Wait a minute... I think I better re-read this topic, somewhere I think I have been mislead. Seriously though, I never really looked at the Patreon support page, but for all that LL has given me, $10 a month is minuscule. I would give a hundred times that amount to get rid of the scumbag malware, hijackers, and just pain in the neck internet preditors.
