It claimed to be the GECK itself, with a screenshot showing it as as Creation Kit - Fallout Edition with a very similar logo to the Skyrim CK. It was uploaded by a user with a name something like MagicMike(some numbers) which is a name I've seen somewhere relating to Bethesda unless my memory is playing tricks on me.

 

It certainly wouldn't be where I'd expect them to release it, but I thought I'd post the link anyway. It was taken down in about 5 minutes, gone before I could download it.

Even if it was a legit copy Nexus would have to ban it anyway or avoid action by Beth.

But think of all those poor people that really wanted it so badly............

Their actions wouldn't have a thing to do with the fact that it's a free product or how soon it's coming out. In America, lawsuits are all about petty ego. And while Todd Howard doesn't come across as the ultra-petty type to me, Pete Hines does. He works in Marketing, after all.

I doubt they would bother spending a lot of money to track down and possibly extradite to charge an average user who may only barely afford a PC to run the program. If they were that worried they wouldn't make it open beta. If it were closed Beta/Alpha stage they would get serious. Maybe they could invalidate your Fallout licences and refuse further Licencing, or Beta participation.

I'm just wondering what the E3 2016 Showcase is all about, 2015 was there first ever E3 Showcase with FO4 and DOOM now their Showcasing again in June 2016. They aren't one's to showcase early that's for sure, so what's in the pipe and what exactly is worth a Showcase?.

Obsidian said they'd be happy to make another fallout and would set it far away from beth's locations if they have been asked and given the chance. Basically they just waiting for beth's word. Its all over the news way back before fallout 4 was released.

You have to understand that Fallout 3 was a new game for many and it was our starting point. And when New Vegas came out, I felt cheated with FNV just as much as the Fallout 1/2/tactic fans were with FO3.

 

I'm not saying Fallout 1 or 2 are bad games. I can't because I never really could get into them. They are just too old for me and trying to play Fallout 1 I can't stand the controls for it and gave up. Anyways, this whole thing caused a conflict with those old fans and the fans from Fallout 3 and Fallout 4.

 

This is why I specifically have said in the past that BSG can do what ever they want with it because they own the franchise now. If anyone is to blame, it's Interplay for selling the rights off to begin with.
