I suspect I have some malware on my system but I can't find anything.

Can someone recommend me some trustworthy anti-malware software?

The only one I can think of:

https://www.malwarebytes.org/

Wot they suggested. But if you think you have a particularly noxious variety of malware, run it in chameleon mode.

I'm not sure what I'm dealing with. In taskmanager I see Winlogon.exe running, but it's size is different than the actual Winlogon.exe in my system32 folder. Also when I try to shut it down I get "access denied" and when I try to see it's properties or location nothing happens. Also there is no user or description listed, it's just there. So I suspect it's malware that immitates the Winlogon.exe

You broke it, time to see a doctor of some kind and get it fixed. Viruses now are a lot worse than before and take longer to remove. Just be glad you don't have one of those ransomware viruses that encrypt all your files and demand bitcoins or moneypak to unlock.

What was already suggested (try rebooting your computer in Safe Mode and running Malwarebytes) and http://www.spybot.com for another an additional layer of protection. That one also immunizes your computer against several types of malware. I'd also recommend CCleaner as a maintenance tool; it gets rid of trash files your computer creates on its own and can safely clean your registry of invalid entries.

Right the other thing you can do is boot into Safe mode, and restore to a restore point way back when (i.e. before a time when you think you were 'infected'). This doesn't effect applications, just system files and more importantly the registry. Once you have done that do a full malware bytes scan and a full scan of whatever anti-virus you have - from safe mode.  After you have done that, re-upload any windows updates which have occurred between the restore point date and this date.

(If you can't get into Safe Mode and/or the restore point thing isn't working - well what sort of backup regime do you have?).

I just ran Malware bytes and it found 35 Mindspark registry entries and values and succesfully quarantined and removed them.

I also ran a scan with ESET and Microsoft Security Essentials and it found nothing luckily.

But I will do another scan in safemode just to be sure.

Another good tool to have if you don't have it yet is zone alarm. If you get something on your computer you can lock it down and prevent things from going in or out of your computer which will help it removing some of these malwares.

If you don't have another environment to check your hard drive with then you don't know for sure if it is really clean or not. You need some other pc or a bootable usb drive and get tdsskiller from kaspersky. With tdsskiller you can check your boot sectors for viruses, that is where they hide when they really want to come back after you remove them from the rest of the drive.
