loopie Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 OK My issues seem to be largely resolved, I did end up doing a new install but its no big deal, saved my saves just in case I want to get back to them later. Key things I was doing wrong: 1. Had Glorious Nudes installed, and of course as pointed out, CBBE doesn't work with it. 2. I wasn't running Bodyslide as admin, that solved a lot. But I do still have a question: Is there any way to make CBBE work with texture replacements such as skimpy armor pieces or the nude vault suit ? Currently when I equip a nude vault suit or a super skimpy harness etc. I am back to "square 1" as that seems to mesh together in a weird way instead of the armor textures being on top of the CBBE, it seems to replace or push it out of the way in some spots. Anyway to make that kinda "layered" instead ? 2nd, CBBE seems to accept only a single saved bodyslide setting, even when I use the "Batch Build" function. I thought the single "build" button is for single preset while the "Batch" would load them all up and then I'd have different ones in the game. I have 4 slim, 5 average, 3 chubby and 1 preggo presets saved, but in the game only 1 of them seems to be activated at a time for all nude females, is there anyway to make that so it randomizes a bit ? I do not know if the game or mod has such a capability, but I thought I'd ask. It'd be nice to have different presets load up on different NPCs at set percentages. or am I still missing something on the batch building ? Thanks All
jimmybignutz Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Does bInvalidateOlderFiles=1 go in the top of the list or bottom (small list like 2 entries)? It goes under the [Archive] section. I usually put it at the end of the section, but i don't think it matters. Thanks All 1) No. We are still waiting on cell and Caliente on their Outfit Studio in order to change the clothing and armour. ATM, all the armour and clothing utilise the vanilla body underneath, hence the weird textures when using it. The layered armour is a different story as it doesn't need the vanilla body but we still need the Outfit Studio to do this. 2) Again no. All the females in the game utilise a single mesh to save coding costs. We will need the Creation Kit for FO4 in order to make exclusive bodies for each character. FutaL0ver Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Any reason my toon has a really flat butt? Also, does anyone have a bodyslide files for vaultsuits?
doomknightofchaos Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Having used Bodyslide a fair bit for Skyrim, helping ChronoTrigger77 with his mod, I have a few questions: 1) I know it is fairly easy with current sliders to create most "butt shapes" (ie round, bubble butt, square, pear, etc), but its often difficult to create a "heart-shaped" butt. Will the new tools include a way to create a heart-shaped butt without too much trouble? 2) One thing that irritated me with the original body shape for skyrim was that it was quite difficult to create a good butt crack, without it looking lopsided or well, not having enough depth. The butt crack slider didn't seem to do much to address the problem, and thus I was wondering if the new tools would have better ways of creating a better butt crack? 3) Will there be sliders to adjust the size of genitalia, much like there are sliders to adjust nipples? 4) Will there be sliders to adjust the ribcage, exclusively? Since the breasts rest on the ribcage, it would be nice to increase/decrease the size of the ribs to change the placement of the breasts? 5) Is there any specific reason why the head or hands are not included in the body building process? I'm sure there is a reason, but I don't recall anyone ever explaining why the head and hands aren't included? Is it a convenience thing or is there major technical issues with including them?
n0nambrand Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Any reason my toon has a really flat butt? Also, does anyone have a bodyslide files for vaultsuits? I had a problem with a flat ass also, then I realized I needed to change the weight in game to the middle to get it to look more like what I was adjusting on the sliders.

I believe the reason the head and hands are separate, because they are using completely separate meshes and the tuning of the face is tied in to the head mesh itself. Don't quote me on this, but I think that is the reason.
Caliente Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Hi all, update impending, sorry it's coming out later than I'd hoped... I'll post again when the files are ready for download! Having used Bodyslide a fair bit for Skyrim, helping ChronoTrigger77 with his mod, I have a few questions: 1) I know it is fairly easy with current sliders to create most "butt shapes" (ie round, bubble butt, square, pear, etc), but its often difficult to create a "heart-shaped" butt. Will the new tools include a way to create a heart-shaped butt without too much trouble? 2) One thing that irritated me with the original body shape for skyrim was that it was quite difficult to create a good butt crack, without it looking lopsided or well, not having enough depth. 1) Not entirely sure what constitutes a heart-shaped butt, but the next release will have a different (more natural) shape to the butt that I think is a decent improvement over the old. Might not be entirely what you're looking for but hopefully you like it. Of course it can be tuned to your liking and combined with other sliders as you wish. 2) Same butt slider deepens the crack, actually. It's not something that's tremendously visible to me in the game but perhaps it will better meet your needs. Also, creating your own sliders is always possible with outfit studio (when it's unlocked for everyone's use) so that could be an option for you as well. 3) No, no real plans for that, sorry. I realize that there's a great interest in the 'nether regions', but for now there's a lot of more general things that take my attention The ability to create custom sliders and share them is something that can certainly help 4) Yes, the impending update includes a slider to increase the depth of the chest (by pulling out the front), the width of it, and also provides adjustments for the sternum depth and height. Further, there is now a waist height slider that can reduce the apparent length of the ribcage. Most of these don't affect the placement of the breasts, but their visual position will seem different in relation 5) The Head is a huge complex thing due to it having a fairly complex system for features customization. There's also a very annoying problem with fallout 4 where they chose to bake all the NPCs heads into separate nif files. The hands (first person) were not provided because they weren't ready at the time. the third person hands were provided as a static asset (There aren't any sliders that affect them so they're just installed in the meshes directory for fallout.
kegstiki Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 I've been working on a skin texture that changes up the type of vagina, freckles on the body, and pubic hair (hard to get the textures to actually show up, and I'm no good at normal maps)I was wondering if Caliente would be okay with me posting the texture files for download?
XunAmarox Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 I've got a suggestion for BodySlide, though I don't know if it can be done. In Skyrim just morphing the sliders for the weight 0 and weight 100 bodies was enough to get the looks you want but that's not the case with Fallout 4. You can look pretty bad in fact (seen in the butt from the screenshot above) due to the way the weight triangle works... and just as a standalone, you can't really get good results with CBBE all around the triangle unless you have a mod that changes how the triangle behaves... So, how about adding a module that lets us adjust the triangle weight slider values the game uses directly inside BodySlide so we can visually see the results they'll cause for those weights as we adjust them? And, y'know, generate an ESP from those changes. It'd be a super handy tool if nothing else... Ah, you're going for innie pussies. I already have my CBBE Innies from Skyrim ported over. Just waiting to release them because (and this answers your question): Since this is a test release, we'd like to ask that you do not redistribute these files... it's not polished enough for the full public Question: Can we upload texture replacers for CBBE, or should we wait until you release CBBE on Nexus?I have my CBBE Innies ported over from Skyrim and have their page set up ready for release, but I'll wait for an answer before I publish. Since it's just a texture replacer I think it's in the green but I want to make sure. You can work on things, show them and maybe even share the files in this thread, but we'd like you to not make any mod pages on the Nexus or LL yet (basically act like CBBE doesn't exist) until we have CBBE released on the Nexus ourselves. This is so we can fix the most important problems, get everything up to shape before most people even know about its existence for FO4 and for future compatibility problems, in case we still tweak the UV or something a bit (probably not, but still). I can show some screens of mine though, I guess...
puss2puss Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Nice, cant wait for the update! Keep up the great work Caliente I'm wondering, will you edit the entire mesh to have multiple parts for dismembering of the arms and legs when cut in combat?

FauxFurry Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Everything worked perfectly for me when I used the test body but of course, anything not affected by Bodyslide (the armor and clothing) that exposed skin had horrible texture problems as is to be expected. If the basic armor and clothing conversions turn out as well as the body did, then Caliente will have well and truly solved yet another of Bethesda Softworks' games' shortcomings in the character creation department.
hafertaler Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 @xun and kegstiki: Well she said - like you quoted - that it's fine to distribute those files in this thread, so go for it. I bet there are plenty of people willing to test them out : )

Caliente Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Okay, I've just updated the original post with alpha 2a for the body and alpha 3a for Bodyslide! Note, Outfit studio remains disabled outside a limited testing group, and please do not redistribute any files! Also, it is fine to provide modified/addon files within this thread, but I'd still like to ask that you please don't post them elsewhere till release Lots of changes in this release to both archives. Some very subtle and some not so subtle. Some highlights: Added a fully slider-compatible version of the Raider04 outfit (Harness). This is not to diminish the work being done by others on the same outfit, it just turned out that I chose the same file as a testbed for conversions. Added a fully slider-compatible underwear outfit. The underwear mesh in the game files is broken and unused -- this fixes the mesh and creates a body replacer out of it (like the cbbe skyrim "nevernude" option). Note that upon release, a less conservative set of underthings will likely be used as the nevernude option There's a slight bit of clipping on the hem of the thighs... Cleaned up the breast shadowing on the diffuse texture, and fixed mesh normal generation during body build. This will provide much more accurate shadowing no matter what shape your body takes on, including allowing the body to be completely flat-chested without strange shadows. Added the first person hand mesh. Thanks to the generous offer of SunshaftV, there are high quality dirty body textures used by raiders. Note, I did not include the Player dirty body plugin by him, Sunshaft is welcome to provide that for any who wish it. Fixed the discoloration on the back of the neck for females wearing short hairstyles. This is done using a plugin included with the body archive (CBBE.esp), and installation instructions are in a readme that's also included. Remember the current fallout bug that clears out plugin.ini settings each time the launcher is run! While this corrects the issue for the player, many NPCs are using pre-baked nif files that need to be individually updated to allow them to point to a texture file that isn't the body texture. Added a bunch of new sliders, including waist height, chest size, a re-sculpted butt, and a new pair of breast sliders that attempt to make the bust appear to hang more naturally. The butt slider changes the shape of the butt without affecting the size or profile too much, but gives it a more natural pleasing shape... especially for smaller sizes, and combines well with other sliders. Here's a comparison of the base shape and the new shape : old on left, new on right . of course the new shape is optional, though it's included in the base presets. The pair of breast sliders primarily focus on the center area of the chest (They're called breastcenter and breastcenterbig), and create the shape of them originating more naturally from the middle of the chest. The one ending in 'big' is intended to provide the same effect for larger breast shapes than the default size. A comparison of the old shape and new shape is available here: Old on right, new on left . Note these sliders do not much increase the size of the breasts, but rather change the inner curvature of them. The effect is fairly subtle. The other sliders concentrate on providing additional customization to the overall torso -- rib cage size, waist height, and sternum position. Work continues on the mod:) A large amount of armor and outfit conversions are in the works for a release soon, as well as additional fixes (neck seam, wrist seam). If there are outfits that show a lot of skin or clip significantly with the body, please let me know so I can prioritize converting those outfits! I'm also attempting to hunt down bugs with bodyslide and outfit studio, hoping to be able to have that in a pleasant functioning state as soon as possible ! Thank you all for your attention, suggestions, and feedback, I hope you're continuing to enjoy the mod!
polygon Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 That constant F5-ing paid off =D Edit: just a note, in the Readme you don't mention that the plugins file can be protected by simply setting it to read only. It might be a quicker way for people to do it, and it's probably good practice to protect game files you don't want to be overwritten anyway in this way I have a question about OutfitStudio - will it have the ability to uniformly scale / translate a mesh ? I've used the Skyrim one long ago but can't remember exactly what tools it had.

That will make the preset show up for the harness under the presets drop down. Note, you can always re-save a preset and overwrite by giving it the same name. Also note that it's not unusual to want outfits to have different presets than the body -- the support of garments usually changes a body's shape. So you can save presets for the outfits by themselves. Also, the more sliders you use and the more extreme the shapes are, the more likely you will see some clipping here and there.
polygon Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 That constant F5-ing paid off =D Edit: just a note, in the Readme you don't mention that the plugins file can be protected by simply setting it to read only. Ah I was told that the readonly trick didn't work. I didn't bother trying! Thanks for letting me know. Outfit studio does have the ability to uniformly translate, but not scale currently. It certainly works! I think setting read only is quite a powerful thing. Nothing should be able to edit or delete it. Is scaling in the to-do list or would something like that not be necessary? About the new BodySlide: the time you spent on the new breasts and butt shapes was not wasted Seems you can achieve some very natural, non-fantasy shapes now much better than before, especially with the way the breasts conform with the curvature of the ribcage very naturally. As a mod this is highly impressive, but also as a standalone tool , anatomy work is beautiful
dirtynope Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Okay, I've just updated the original post with alpha 2a for the body and alpha 3a for Bodyslide! Note, Outfit studio remains disabled outside a limited testing group, and please do not redistribute any files! Also, it is fine to provide modified/addon files within this thread, but I'd still like to ask that you please don't post them elsewhere till release *snip* Thank you all for your attention, suggestions, and feedback, I hope you're continuing to enjoy the mod! I saw you snuck in the harness for us! Thank you!
Frel Posted December 14, 2015 Posted December 14, 2015 Okay, I've just updated the original post with alpha 2a for the body and alpha 3a for Bodyslide! Note, Outfit studio remains disabled outside a limited testing group, and please do not redistribute any files! Also, it is fine to provide modified/addon files within this thread, but I'd still like to ask that you please don't post them elsewhere till release [...] Work continues on the mod:) A large amount of armor and outfit conversions are in the works for a release soon, as well as additional fixes (neck seam, wrist seam). Thanks for the update and I love the waist line modification I still see in game the issue while crouching I mentioned. This time here is a picture to let you know what I mean (happen with default configs and tweaked ones) As you can see it looks like the calf intersect weirdly with the thigh. It happens only when the character is in her idle crouchging poise though but just thought I would let you know. Thanks for your amazing work and willingness to integrate feedback you are amazing
XunAmarox Posted December 14, 2015 Author Posted December 14, 2015 I don't really like releasing something in the middle of a forum thread, but some people have asked for it and it seems to be allowed... so I guess I will. But I'm going to just be lazy and copy/paste my Nexus description... WARNING: CBBE is still in a pre-release Alpha stage.
