For gloss you need something like GlossTech - Glossy-Gloss Skin for all female and male charac by MonoS94 it is located on the nexus.

Follow the instructions for how to use it and it should work fine.

If you are just adding files that are glossy then you would have to add them to the Monli file texture/mesh which ever one has the files that look like the file that you are trying to add. Make sure to copy the files that you are overwriting just in case you don't like it then you only have to re add those ones back.

For some reason when I make a monli toon she randomly starts walking forward. She bugs the game greatly and will approach the chopping block before her name is called. Is there a way to fix this little bug?

I'll try to answer some questions, but my knowledge, particularly having to deal with this specific Monli package (I use the original, not the tweaked one here), is a bit limited.

 

I don't know anything about adding hair, but I do know that typical hair packs (Apachi, RANS, etc) do also apply to the Monli race. Try setting the face settings and hair that you want onto your own character, then exporting the settings and using the CK to apply directly. This came up a couple pages ago:

Texture mods for the base Monli body always go into \Data\textures\actors\character\Monli\female

"Texture mods" including specular textures (for shiny/glossy skin)' date=' base skin, hands, feet, face. As far as I know that's still true for the version offered here.

 

I used one of the vanilla warpaints for a while, the one that's two horizontal stripes below the eyes, and had no issues with it...so that means that the vanilla paints are trouble-free at least. Maybe it would have just been easier to find the least-used paint with the CK and replaced that texture?

Regardless, by all means, post your work. Someone is bound to have the same problem, and your esp would be just what they need. Heck, I posted a few things I made a few pages back, not really expecting anyone to want them, and apparently seeeeveral people downloaded'em.

 

The only suggestion I have for beginning the game as Monli is...don't. Start as a vanilla race, get through the first set of objectives up to heading to Riverwood, THEN switch to Monli.

You can use ShowRaceMenu Alternative to then change to Monli. This is a new mod that I haven't personally tested, though.

An alternative, and what I used myself, was the small tutorial here. It's more time-consuming, but having control over the process means you only have yourself to blame if something goes wrong.

I would suggest turning off your mods 1 to 2 at a time to find out which one is doing it. I had the same problem before being able to zoom out whenever during the first area walking off my player at one time had the name alvor/alvar instead of prisoner among other things . But turning off the mods a few at a time I was able to find the culprit and banish it to garbage bin.

It looks to me like mismatched normal maps. You might find that in some lighting conditions, they do match; I was having this problem with mismatched body and head normals.

Strange though, I don't remember having that problem when I first installed the Monli stuff, but then I started customizing it almost immediately, so it might just be that I didn't give it a chance to show up.

I would recommend going and manually downloading CBBE, and copying the textures from it into your Monli folder. Then everything should match, or closely enough to not be noticeable.

Screenshots? I've never heard of this problem, but seeing it might provide some clues as to what the issue is.

Especially if it doesn't change the rest of the face.

 

Hi, I'm wondering if someone can teach me how to change babette into monli race? The "setrace monli" command doesn't work as she becomes naked and has a dark face.

After a few months without playing skyrim, i'm here again...

So, can someone post screens showing the difference between the unp and cbbe versions? Preferably at max weigh - I'm not concerned about boobs here, I'm concerned about the body itself. Some of them look... anorexic :/

 

Also, this mod doesn't have BBP, right? I mean, there shouldn't be much to bounce to start with...

I think you can add BBP to this race... Just try and paste meshes and the skeleton in Monli folders, but all the other files can stay where they are ment to be. Maybe it will work.

Didn't there used to be a version that changed the existing NPCs? Or was that a different mod?

Hi, I'm having a little trouble with this mod, it all works fine, expect the hand model, it seems to be a vanilla or standard version of cbbe, im going through the thread atm to see if anyone else has the same problem.

Download a cbbev3 mod with fishnets and get a new body texture with tattoos :) They're everyyyyywhere.

I'm now using the UNPB BBP body and it works great. Got the weight slider at 0 most of the time. You should give that body a try. It has got BBP but it's not over the top

Thanks Biggsamus, I wanted to try out BBP on my Monli followers. Thanks also for a previous post mentioning that excellent tutorial for creating a custom follower.

 

I now have 2 Monli follower mods and they work great. I don't want to play as a Monli race, but wanted Monli followers.
