mijati Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 hi all, iam thinking about to reinstall skyrim. but atm iam totaly overhelmed with the mods.. i have no clue what mods is a must have atm, and what most i should have in case about body mods, armor, and sex mods.. so any advise plz ?
RitualClarity Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Unofficial Patches. They are a must. The rest is optional.
ancat Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 unofficial patches seconded; also, assuming a modern-ish pc then texture packs are highly desireable and safe. HDT physics and relevant hair packs also add a lot. If wanting custom armours, I've found best way is to go Caliente's bodyslide, with CBBE based body, and a relevant texture for body, and only install compatible bodyslide compatible armours/clothes. (look up how to use bodyslide if it's new to you). o, also a good ENB adds a lot. if you go much beyond those sort of things, you'll end up fighting Crashes to Desktop more than skyrim mobs.
Parky Posted August 22, 2015 Posted August 22, 2015 Sexlab and Sexlab matchmaker Open cities extensible Follower Framework I like Anna NPC's and Vilja as companions (there are a lot of others as well)
dedder Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Every playthrough has to have a Queen to bow/curtsy before: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/63903/?
NickNozownik Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Something that adds more content and improves the existing one, otherwise you'll basically have better looking vanilla Skyrim. So: 1. Altenate Start - Live Another Life, Unofficial patches, SkyUI, SKSE, some new equipment like Immersive Armors and Immersive Weapons, perk overhaul like SPERG, SkyTweak to manually change things like magic scaling and weapon damage (including modded weapons) while playing, NARC so animals won't report your crimes, OBIS for more bandit variety, Immersive Creatures or Monster Mod, some follower system overhaul like AFT or EFF, more spells like Forgotten Magic or Phenderix Magic, Immersive Speechcraft, Realistic Needs And Diseases/iNeed/Imps More Complex Needs if you want some realism. If you want some more dialogue options, less forced quests, different level requirements for quests to start or simply remove these annoying hired "assasins" then The Choice is Yours and Timing is Everything. For combat overhaul I would recommend the latest version of Dark Souls Combat that is available here on LL. 2. Visual changes, like Tamriel Reloaded and various other retextures. If you don't want to use ENB then I would recommend Imaginator and DynaVision.
Czanrei Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 To make most mods work other than the unofficial patches, you will need Fores New Idles in Skyrim (FNIS) and Skyrim Script Extender (SKSE) I agree. However, I have found there are a large number of conflicting mods with Alternate Start mod, Real Needs and Diseases mod, and Open Cities mod. I would advise not using those unless you have a strong PC and a backup of Skyrim. This website helped me a lot when installing/loading mods in a stable order: http://wiki.step-project.com/STEP:2.2.9.1
gvman3670 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Absolute MUST haves for me? 1) Mod Organizer, and if you're reinstalling there's no good reason to not start using it 2) Unoffical patches 3) SKSE 4) SkyUI 5) FNIS 6) Ordenador (to optimize textures and improve performance) The rest is all optional stuff or a matter of personal taste.
mijati Posted August 23, 2015 Author Posted August 23, 2015 and about the body mods , i guess cbbe is still the most common one with the most "addons" for armors and stuff .... what about 7base bombshell i see a lot of topics about it, its worth going for it ?
gvman3670 Posted August 23, 2015 Posted August 23, 2015 Just pick a body that you find pleasing. CBBE and UNP still have the most support. But now there is BodySlide and in there you can build a CBBE body or a UNP hybrid body (and still have all the CBBE morphs as well). 7Base is OK if that's what you like. There is a fair amount of stuff for it. You can even build it in BodySlide with the UUNP body portion of it.

Varithina Posted August 24, 2015 Posted August 24, 2015 Many from those listed above and, crafting cloud storage lootification - though if you are not bothered about using lots of armour/weapons mods you can ignore this, as it just adds them to npc/vendor lists and adds enchanted versions of them as well. Note it can be a major arse to get working.
FauxFurry Posted August 26, 2015 Posted August 26, 2015 Since everyone else was on their game with listing many of the most essential stability mods, I will post a few links to stability mods to be extra sure that you keep everything moving smoothly even if it ultimately is just for your peace of mind: Skyrim Script Extender Acceleration Layer Skyrim Stability Guide If you want animated penises in your game- Schlongs of Skyrim. The download section has a bit of everything whether you want more than binary gender choices, non-standard humanoid equipment, circumcised on uncut. If you want animated penises in your game but don't particularly want to stray away from the binary gender model or you even just want to focus on male characters' anatomy in greater detail, there is Shape Atlas for Men. Conversely, if it is the female intimate anatomy that one in primarily concerned with, there is Clams of Skyrim. If you want non-human genitalia on the non-humanoids where one might expect to find it even if you have no interest in having them do anything with them in your play through gathered in one handy package- More Nasty Critters. XP32 Maximum Compatibility Skeleton Extended 3 That is pretty much the basics that one needs to make use of most of the Sexlab mods outside of the Sexlab Framework itself.

I checked out the SKSE Acceleration Layer and the game wouldn't load for some reason. Is it too old? The date was late 2011.

Then again, the tweaks that I made to game memory usage might be far more useful in keeping script speed swift than the acceleration layer which could be useless at this point for all that I know. Better safe than sorry so you should probably ditch it. My apologies if my suggestion actually made your game run worse if not at all.
