Extra Animations (NSAP/zaz) Never Work, Always T-Pose

Recommended Posts

Posted this on the non-sexlab animation pack page but thought it'd be worthwhile posting it here too.

Been trying to get NSAP working for a while now. Every time I install it (or Zaz's pack), the animations T-pose every single time. I've registered them through the latest version of FNIS. Registered them through MCM. Tried adding only one at a time and testing it etc. No matter what I do, these animations always T-pose. Tried uninstalling/reinstalling Sexlab, FNIS and all the other mods (several times). Any idea how to fix this?

Using the XP32 Extended skeleton.

Thanks!

You could try running FNIS as administrator. Your problem has nothing to do with NSAP or ZAP. The t-pose is the definitive symptom of a FNIS problem (on your end).

You mean without NSAP/ZaZ, animation working fine right?

Which mod you use to trig sex animation? - May use Matchmaker for it.

Radiant Prostitution and Sexlab Romance mainly. I've also tried testing them through the animation list on Sexlab.

Yeah it's definitely something to do with FNIS. I'll give it a try as admin shortly.

Thanks for the help so far, appreciate it.

Might it be related to SL's limit on the amount of animations in SexLab? (See here.)

I don't think so. This happens even when I register just the one extra animation. Thanks anyway.

Just tried it. I can only run FNIS as admin outside of Mod Organizer, where it can't find the mods. Running Mod Organizer as admin hasn't made a difference. Really stumped on this :s

I didn't know you were using MO. Sorry but I can't help you with that.

No problem! Thanks anyway.

Just odd that I can't find anyone with the same issue.

I run FNIS inside MO.

I install FNIS as a mod like any other mod.

In left pane, I highlight FNIS, right-click, Open in Explorer.

In the explorer window you should now see all the files for FNIS.

Navigate to the tools and GenerateFNISforUsers.exe and right-click it and set compatibility to run as administrator.

close that explorer window

In the RIGHT pane of MO, click on the Data tab.

scroll down and navigate to Tools folder, expand it, see GenerateFNIS_for_Users folder, expand it. See the GenerateFNISforUsers.exe, highlight it, right-click it and select Add as Executable.

#1 problem I have ever had is that I installed a new version of FNIS and forgot to DISABLE (uncheck) the old version in the left pane. That causes some wonky errors when you try to run FNIS for users. :)

FNIS runs just fine in MO and does not require repacking or anything.

If you have MO, the ONLY thing I've had to put directly into my ACTUAL Skyrim data directory is the dll files and stuff for SKSE. Not the scripts. I have the SKSE scripts as a mod in MO just fine.

I have All Chosen NSAP Animations Working just Fine,my Problem is with ZAZ which Won't Start at all,it just Reads "Updating" and Nothing Happens..I don't Know what T-Pose is,such is my Knowledge (Lack Of) of Modding..I Chose the Ones I Wanted and Reset the Animation Registry and went into Animations to Select the Ones I had Chosen, then Afterwards I Played Skyrim without Running FNIS and they Worked OK..Perhaps I was Just Lucky that it Worked without Clicking on FNIS..I Usually Run it before Starting Skyrim, whether I have Installed a Mod or Not,it can't do any Harm,or Can it?..I am Unable to Offer a Solution,as Modding is Beyond Me,but Good Luck with it..I Always RUN FNIS as Administrator,in Fact Every Programme on my PC is Run the Same Way..I Uninstalled ALL ZaZ/Zbf Files Manually,to Ensure I got them All and Only then did I Use NMM to Uninstall..I then RAN FNIS and Reinstalled the Latest Version with the Texture File..It is Still the Same,in that on Opening the MCM Menu,it Appears Below all Other Mods and when I Click to Activate,it Reads "Updating"..I will Attempt this Again and Leave it Updating, while I go for a Wander Round/Watch the News for an Hour..If Nothing has Happened with this "Updating",I will have to Forget about it..I have tried Playing Skyrim Without ZaZ,but Some Mods Require it to be Installed..On a Good Note,I Uninstalled the "ETAC" Mod and Winterhold Reappeared for the Summerset Isle Mod..So I Assume that was Causing the Problem with it Vanishing..However it is Unplayable due to Constant CTD,which Necessitates (Looks to be Spelt Incorrectly) a Complete Restart of my PC..I have Tried Left-Alt/Tilde Key to get Back to Desktop, which Works on Every Other Game, but NOT Skyrim..I will go and Start Skyrim and Leave ZaZ Updating for a While and See what Happens....

i use the STEP method to install FNIS through Mod Organizer.. Basically in the end i think it turns out the same as what you're doing.. yet.. somehow seems like easier steps to follow.

Still not working unfortunately. I may try moving FNIS and all relevant mods to the Skyrim directory or reinstall FNIS.

Solved!

It was Wyre Bash causing the problem. The files defaultmale.hkx and defaultfemale.hkx produced by FNIS were being overridden by the existing files in Wrye Bash every time. Causing new animations to never work, hence the weird T-posing synthesis.

I have to thank theshiba for his post in another thread on the same issue (wish i found this earlier!) http://www.loverslab.com/topic/38870-non-sexlab-animation-pack/page-54

Thanks for the help, hopefully this will help others with the same problem.
