I think I've done enough testing with the new Mai reference that I spent most of my free time in the past several days on.  The transformation results appear quite good if I do say so myself

 

Although when going from anyone else to Mai, she loses her fans and her tail, and going from Mai to other characters, they get a lot of fans that cannot be hidden during battle, (lol) which can be a pain in the ass.  

 

Short version:

 

Transformer:

- Preliminary Mai support (Textures and Mai's reference ass courtesy of the Master of Perversion SaafRats)

- Added neck correction support for Mai

As described in my Mai birthday suit post , I finally completed the reference model for Mai which is based on Harry Palmer's excellent nude base.   There are some differences in vertex count and order between regular nude models (ie Kasumi, Hitomi etc) and Mai.  Mainly around her knee, legs and bottom areas.    As a result, the transformation might not always yield the optimal outcome, but I think it's quite acceptable now to warrant an official release.   This is no longer a preview build as previously released.

 

I have also udpated the Timmy Converter that probably only a handful of you are still using to add support to correct Mai's neck

Going from Mai to others can be a bit whacky with the fans.

 

An easy solution is to just use Polygon tool to delete them

 

 

 

 

 

I've compiled a few mods shown above into a "Transformer Fun Pack - Mai edition" which can be downloaded  here

 

To install - drag and drop into your AUTOLINK folder.  All of the new costumes are under Mai/01 and SARAH/01

Please note that due to some strange loading issue (infinite loading in game) when using high res normal map (the blue one) for Mai, I've swapped it out for her regular normal map found on her official outfit for now.  As a result, it's a lower resolution 512x512 as opposed to the more detailed player made maps.   During testing, I think the issue is from the normal map and the problem seems to have gone away once I started using a smaller normal map.

 

High res normal map *sometimes* work (as evident in my Mai nude mod) - you are welcome to swap it out and try your luck   Until this issue is fixed, I recommend leaving the default "MAI_NM.dds" as is.

The transformation look quite good indeed and I think the best idea is to remove extra fans with Polygon Tool as you said, it's not so tedious to do after all and then you could remove the one you want depending of your taste (I personnaly like to keep the one in mouth )

Leaving the "uchiwa_mouth" in the TMC while deleting all other uchiwas after transformation - (SF300 adaptive, just for fun :bush:)

After countless head bashing moments and insane amount of painstaking manual labor moving vertex one by one by hand and with assistance from my own home brew tools for a certain degree of automation, I finally managed to pass the ultimate test - Harry Palmer's Ayane RNM to Mai @SF30 Adaptive mode.

 

Using the same number of vertices as found on Harry's standard nude models, I re-created Mai's official body shape all the while keeping her voluptuous bottom and juicy thighs.   Her ass is a bit of a collaboration effort between the MoP Saafie and I and her new textures are provided by SaafRats as well.

 

This is a work of love and labor as piecing together official parts would have been much easier, lol.  I wanted to get the transformer working so I had to go through the pain of re-creating the official shape using models similar to Harry's Real Nude Mode models.

This model should fit into most official outfits fine and is fully compatible with other girls in terms of vertex count and arrangements which should make slotting her into other girls outfits easier.

Please note that the version with fan uses her COS001 container, so if you want the tail, you can just put it right back without much trouble.

Thanks to all the support and feed back in regards to Mai in her birthday suit which is actually transformed from Harry's Ayane model.

 

I have decided to remake the reference model for Mai to be as close to 1:1 as possible and so far it's looking pretty good. Although the current outgoing version of 1.7 is pretty close, I have found a few areas of improvement and the MoP Saafie is helping out with the texure stuff.

 

Hope the current v1.7 is good enough to hold you guys over until I finalize the new version of my reference (it's up to revision #64 now, lol). After that I will release a new Mai and update the fun pack as well. I have also found a solution to the weird "hair through her head" bug. Please stay tuned!!

how do you take the screenshots?  I used to have no problems using sweetfx and pressing printscreen, yet now it doesn't seem to work...   apologies for going off topic on this but didn't want to start an entire new thread for a silly question, been a while sinse I played this game and probably missing something obvious

You have to get the latest version of AUTOLINK and make a new folder called "MAI" and under that you can choose to put it in the root folder or in a numbered folder such as 01.

LOL, filling openings is my specialty :bush:  At the moment, I am more concerned with filling Genfu Mai's openings, lol, but you will get your turn soon when I get my hands on Genfu in my new project.

Did some quick tests to make a few angry dick inducing transformation outfits

 

I feel the bondage theme fits her well since she already wears a big ass rope on her shoulders

 

 

 

 

 

*Some* breakable outfits can be transformed and used as is.  Others some times result in infinite loading for some reason.

 

I am wrapping up on the new nude model and an update to the reference for Mai (and transformer tool).  If all goes well, an update should be pushed out soon.
