TIMMY CHARACTER TRANSFORMER UPDATE V0.3.4

After several days of fixing bugs and experimenting with a few new algorithms for smoothing, I've come up with a good compromise between adaptive and regular smoothing modes.    The biggest issue with adaptive is that, although the form adheres closely to the transformation source model, there can be some pretty nasty clipping and deformation issues.   The regular smoothing mode is great for girls with similar shapes, but going to/from Marie can be a gamble.    Therefore, I've implemented a new algorithm - a new smoothing mode which I call "Hybrid" since it is essentially the best of both worlds.   After a few hours of testing, I think it works well enough to be left as the default smoothing mode.  Of course, all other modes are still accessible.  To enable "Regular" mode, simply uncheck both "Adaptive" and "Hybrid" and to enable Adaptive mode, simply check "Adaptive."    Depending on the feedback, I might revert the default mode back to regular mode :D

Short version:

Change Log
V0.3.4
- Added a new smoothing algorithm "Hybrid" mode to bridge the gap between Adaptive and normal smoothing modes.
- Tweaked the adaptive smoothing mode in an attempt to reduce clipping after transformation by clamping the upper range.
- Fixed an issue with thread synchronization

Long version:

In addition to some bug fixes to threading and a slight tweak to adaptive mode, the biggest change this update brings is the introduction of the new "Hybrid" mode.

New result names with the new mode are in the following format:

The regular mode can add a bit of weight to Marie.  Adaptive mode introduces quite a bit of jagged edges.  Hybrid mode retains the best of both worlds in this scenario.

Here we are seeing the same pattern with Hybrid mode being the smoothest of all three modes wih SF30 and 100.

However, if the model you are transforming is mostly clad, it really makes no difference whether or not you use regular or hybrid mode

Although the difference is not as obvious as transforming to Marie, the new hybrid mode once again bridges the gap between regular and adaptive modes to recreate faithful breast shape of our beloved Mai :bush:

Here are a few in-game shots of various transformations to Marie.

Going from Marie has been improved as well.

A few example transformations using various settings with the new Hybrid mode.

Just in time for Halloween :D

With this particular outfit, I've had to reduce smoothness to 5 on Hybrid mode with "Approximate Accessory Positions" to roughly place the teeth.

On Marie, However, I only had to use the default 30 smoothness on Hybrid mode but also with "Approximate Accessory Positions" to roughly place the teeth.

Some other transformations to goof around

These are done with low SF as well 5 and 10 respectively on Hybrid mode

Marie's pigtails look kind of hot on Mai :bush:

This is sucha  great tool. What the best is texture, so quick transfer.

And I want to ask why I extract Kasumi cos 02 or SafafRats tmc and put to the UserDefined folder, when I tried to run , the program say:

ERROR] Error loading reference files.  Please make sure the reference files have the same number of vertices and vertices are ordered in the same manner.

Thanks :D

Unfortunately, in order to transfer between references, you will have to make sure they follow the same structure (same # of vertices, same ordering etc)

"Another feature is the support of user defined models. You can drop your own custom models into the "UserDefined" folder and it will show up automatically in the tool as "UD_<filename>". Please keep in mind that these reference files need to follow the same format as a sample I've provided if you want to transfer between the default references and your custom models.  The number of vertices and their order must be the same. You can change the shape and whatnot and the tool will transform your model to conform to your desired shape."

What is the format, please tell?

Can you tell how to make the same format: using Blender to delete or add some some vertex in the model? Or use TMC object tool to add or delete object?

But when I delete or add vertex the UV will go crazy

It's all in my updated tutorial

As for the tools you want to use to accomplish this, it doesn't matter as long as you make sure to keep vertex order.  You will need to know how to set the correct bone structure and skin mtr col, though.

Just for fun.

I did that with the common 7 marie rose costumes for all the girls, except Nyotengu and Mai, siince I don't do modding, I can't give Nyo her wings or the fans for Mai lol

I made a simple edit to this Mai outfit as the first step in making it "destructible/breakable" for fun last week.    There's no way in hell she can avoid wardrobe malfunction while bouncing around in battle in this stuff, :bush: so I modified it to "make sense" :D

I can put some finishing touches on this and release it should there be demands.

MAI COS_001/2 BREAKABLE WITH BONUS

Following my post yesterday, some people seem to like this breakable outfit.  I've added the "breakable" effect to this.  For those that are unfamiliar with this effect - Mai starts out covered but if she gets hit hard enough.. :bush:

Without further ado, here are some screenies :D

As an added bonus, I threw in this one I made with my transformer at SF15 with Hybrid mode.  I had to lower the number to 15 to better preserve the breast shape of Marie in this particular transformation.
