weirdtexan
My favorite bands are Metallica and AC/DC, favorite musicians are Tom Waits, Bob Dylan and Weird Al. Recently started getting into the Raveonettes, the Black Keys and the Dandy Warhols based on recommendations from friends. Also love anime soundtracks by Yoko Kanno. Always up for something new! Henfruit23
Let's see. I have a thing for european heavy metal. Finntroll, Therion, Blind Guardian, Eluveitie, those sorts of things. Fun stuff. Very fun stuff. Link to comment
Nepro
My buddy from other forum found it. Rob Zombie - Superbeast. Thanks for band names. I will check them out later. Link to comment
Henfruit23
The Finntroll is especially amusing. The guys behind it got the idea for it after a night of heavy drinking. Polka death metal with swedish death vocals. It'll reduce a man to laughter, first at its hilarity, and then at its awesomeness. Link to comment
Dmouse52
has to be Pink FLoyd for me, not so hot on all the metals but rob zombie and rammstein are pretty damn fine, and a lot punk i like apart from...the sex pistols(gasp) and then there's justin bieber....he should be killed....painfully Link to comment
thesapien
I have a thing for K-pop. I'm currently obsessing over:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=peq4iFtYr6k which takes me back to the Miss A music video that originally got me into K-pop
Miss A has a special place reserved in my, uhm, heart, tho I also love other extremely talented K-pop female groups like: 2NE1 4Minute Sistar T-ara and even some love for the way popular with "girls" in their names: Girls Day Girls Generation (SNSD) Wonder Girls Brown Eyed Girls Brave Girls and I'll refrain from listing solo debuts and crossovers... Chocolat gets an honorable mention for having members under 18 who sing and "dance" like this:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=traUdkk86AA&hd=1 Link to comment
The DarkSlayer
The feeling you get when you finally get on the colossus and this starts playing. EPIC! Link to comment
Surenas
There is a strange relation between the progroms that followed the Kristallnacht November 1938 in Germany and the Crucifixion Night March 2010 on the Nexus. At least German listeners need (by historical reasons, umm) a proxy server to get the critical antifascist stuff by BAP that deals with both the German past and the Western present. The fascinating lyrics are worth a multi-year study of German language followed by frequent student drinkin' orgies in Cologne slang. Evil thrives when good people do nothing! Link to comment
lkl
^ Wow, video is IP Blocked to my whole country. Anyways http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=CvDfIcMI3M4 This has to be one of the most underrated song since 1999 or 2000. Link to comment

This are btw no copyright grounds but problems with a coming to terms with the fascist past. A similar, selective national behaviour you'll find in connection with Arab Rai tunes from the movie Black Hawk Down... blocked in the USA cos they're understood as 'anti-American'. A rough English translation of the Cologne slang in BAP's "Crystal Night" you'll find here Enjoy! Link to comment

Surenas
I'm talking 'bout Rahid Taha's Barra! Barra! (Out! Out!) for example, a popular Arab call to trow out all foreign occupants. The tunes are blocked in the USA since the Iraq intervention. I've tried it myself thrice over the years*) - always the same result after a few weeks which points to selective banning and not to ID-bot upgrades.
Guess a few of you will remember it... ----------- Something special for the US: ♫ Radio Cockroach-Free Wasteland on 88.3 MHz ♫ Link to comment

Surenas
I said already that I'd uploaded the tunes thrice in the past... And that's why I know it - a verification is more than just an impression. However, give it a try to find out yourself what's wrong with Barra Barra. A fourth attempt to outmanoeuvre the general check during the upload procedure only to get exclusively blocked in the USA after a month or two in the max is a waste of time here - the fun simply doesn't last long enough for my taste. The role of the image used for the manual blocking is speculative, but perhaps part of the codecision. The average American just hears the wonderful rai rhythm without understanding the lyrics. Things might change with an image or - seen just one time in 2005 or so - an English translation of the Arab lyrics. Anyway, I leave it to سيسيفوس i.e. Sisyphus *g*. My caravan has moved on since then, away from the nasty politics of the day and the ongoing brainwashing of the people on YouTube. And that's that. ---------- ♫ Radio Cockroach-Free Wasteland on 88.3 MHz ♫ Link to comment
AzOutback
Currently listening to Fear of God, a mostly unknown metal band, with a female vocalist and a very unique sound. Only put out two albums before the vocalist passed away. The second album is no where near as good as the first. And the first album is almost impossible to find. Fear of God - Wasted Time - Within the Veil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SxjXRpm0LLU Words can't say The way I feel Words can't save me Faith has been broken I'm no longer blind Faith has been broken Time after time Harsh words are spoken by those who deny Harsh words are spoken Lies always lies He whispered "Be kind to me Come kill me one more time I'm lost in bitter rage". Why, tell me why Chorus Holding on to the pain Holding on, watch life fade Holding on the past Holding on, to wasted time I can't see through delusion Oh I'm trying Isn't life strange When you're living a lie. Chorus Fear of God - Drift - Within the Veil Do you ever think about tomorrow? Do you ever think about yesterday? Do you ever feel sorrow? Over what you've left drift away? Lie alone rotting... calling out for compassion... far a final act... they'll gladly pay... You know you're just another... broken brother... scared sister... No one will ever miss you anyway. Do you ever think about the otherside? And who's waiting for you there? I'll be waiting for you dear. When the suck you in. Waiting for the door to be kicked in Waiting for the head to hit the ground Waiting for my heart to stop beating Yesterday is dead and gone Tomorrow is out of sight It's so sad to be alone Help me make it through the night You're lost in the drift That's what you want isn't it? You're lost in the drift That's fucking tough isn't it? You're lost in the drift You get what you gave yes Fear of God - Love's Death - Within the Veil http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eR4rJlcc6f0 Whispers in the darkness Cold lies burn like fire Page turn slowly Fading the flame of desire Unholy flame of desire You come crawling down upon your knees Liar You come crawling begging baby please Love's death is a slow death Is a Quick death But once it's over Fate's hand is a cold hand Is a sly hand is the hand on your shoulder But now you're older You come crawling down upon your knees Liar You come crawling 'cause I got what you need Liar you come crawling begging me baby please Link to comment
Surenas
I said already that I'd uploaded the tunes thrice in the past... And that's why I know it - a verification is more than just an impression. So your reasoning is the song is censored because you can't illegally upload it' date=' despite the fact it has widespread commercial availability. You might love using a lot of big words, but I think you're missing some logic circuits. [/quote'] Not really when you point to workable illegal uploads, my friend. BTW I can upload the Rahid tunes legally, but this has no impact on the to be expected blocking in the USA. Everywhere else people can listen to it, there the upload remains public without ristrictions. Nuff said. Link to comment
Surenas
Are you listener or uploader of the YouTube tunes in question? Guess the former is the case and that's why we talk at cross purposes. And because that's not in my interest I leave it at that. Each to his own. Link to comment
Surenas
Yeah' date=' I could imagine it being demonstrated that you're incorrect is a cross purpose for you. [/quote'] Since you insist... Link to comment
