NNS10
I heard a lot about Fair Skin Complexion so I decided to test it (FSC v7.7). However, the face just came out looking weird. The lips in particular were very odd and nothing like what I saw in the screenshots on the mod page. Below is a screenshot for comparison. My original character used SG Textures. I swapped over to FSC and as the screenshot shows, the upper lip is very odd. I tried various mouth morphs, but they all showed the same pattern. Zeroing the mouth sliders didn't do much either. Am I missing something? Is there a trick to it? Link to comment

The lips especially, those usually have the most drastic change IMO, so you'll probably need to redo them to your liking. Hope this helped. Link to comment
SoundSpark
Use RaceMenu, to tweak some of the things if you don't like them. I think you can even use ECE as well. Not too sure about ECE seeing as I don't use it. Link to comment
nutluck
Did you check the optional install options when you installed the mod? I don't recall if it has lips or not I think so but it has a lot of options. Anyways with Racemenu you can tweak the lips bigger or smaller, fuller or thiner, wider etc. Link to comment
Taskmaster
You might want to play around with the colors/makeup in racemenu, as a start. Different face normal maps can also help you. FSC feels more like an open canvas on the face than most others. Link to comment
27X
try adorable face Adorable has even less definition than FSC. The issue is the skin essentially has no shading of its own. It's literally just a super definition tone map. Unless you have an ENB with very specific and precise skins modifiers, characters are simply going to look like this. FSC is designed for heavy and I mean use of HEAVY ECE and RMS/Citrus. There's no accent shading to be found. If you want a light skin with "proper" or "normal" accenting, then use MegaMilkDrinker. Shadowhawk827
Wow that update does seem like it makes a big difference. I had a lot of people recommend Far Skin to me when I asked about a new skin texture mod to try. All the pics I saw made the character's skin look kind of porcelain doll / low budget anime to me though. That screen shot makes me want to try it after all. Link to comment

The lack of heavy shadows means you don't get that really visisble shadow on the ears that shoulden't be there, and in my book, Elves aren't supposed to look like buff and toned Barbarians. 27X
I'm not stating it as a negative, simply as a caveat. Out of all the major skin pack, the only other one with this amount of (lack) of pre-made tonal shading is porcelain vampire. Link to comment

Not just your characters, but also NPCs will look a lot better now. What i noticed is that some of my character presets have a bit of subtle perma-smile now on a 100% neutral expression, but same like the past couple of FSC updates they are not really "updates" but more like separate versions. For example 7.6 also still looks really good. I'm not stating it as a negative, simply as a caveat. Out of all the major skin pack, the only other one with this amount of (lack) of pre-made tonal shading is porcelain vampire. From what i can see, Porcelain Skin is just a recolored SG Renewal, nothing more nothing less. And i can only repeat myself here, there are only 2 mods on the "market" right now that cover everything including elves/orcs and have at least 4K uncompressed diffuse/normal/specular maps. Mature Skin and FSC. Probably most people are better off with just installing something like SG, Navetsea's or Women of Skyrim for vanilla races and use one of the custom skins you mentioned for player+follower races. I guess the uncompressed textures in Mature/FSC are overkill on PCs with <=1GB VRAM already, and as you said you're gonna need very high quality ENBs to get the most out of FSC as well. But for real quality 360° artwork and close-ups i don't see anything remotely comparable. Link to comment
Guest
In my experience using FSC and Mature, they tend to work best when you design a character around them and have a fairly specific concept already in mind. Just dropping either on a character with an established look can often lead to many hours of unplanned slider tweaking. Even Mature's new 'young' textures are fairly unforgiving in that respect and are probably better suited to being applied to a blank canvas. Link to comment
Shadowhawk827
OK so question here... I've tried the mod after hearing the feedback here and I'm reasonably happy with it. I have one issue though. I'm using a UNPB body now and although the UPB version says for all UNP based bodies, I've got a pretty big ankle gap. Hands are fine oddly enough. There's what I can best describe as a "untanned" looking strip of skin on either side of the crotch also, like the skin doesn't fit there either. I'd describe it more, but I'm sure most of you have seen that bug when playing with skeletons, bodies and skins here. Since it'll get asked, I'm using the UNP BLESSED BODY- UNPB REDUX PROJECT body and Grovtama's XPMSE skele from here (2.72 ver). I didn't really muck with the body sliders too much either. Anybody got any ideas on how to fix it? Link to comment

Anybody got any ideas on how to fix it? Sounds like you don't have the UNP normalmaps installed, the strips on the sides of the crotch are from vanilla / UNP mismatch. Or there's something overwriting it. PS: could also be that you installed the CBBE version, but that would also have the nipples in the wrong place and look generally different as FSC-CBBE is an edited CBBE-original texture. Shadowhawk827
I did consider the CBBE possibility right after I posted that last reply, but I checked and it's the UNP version. Not sure what might be overwriting it all. Maybe I'll try installing the body and skin again. :\ Link to comment

Shadowhawk827
Sounds like someone needs to get on board w/ Mod Organizer. Or maybe they've been using it for a year and a half. On top of that, I only have had about 14 mods set up in the profile I've been using because it's the I do my preliminary round of testing when I do changes to my mod. Then I jump to a full load out of mods to really test changes in another profile. Ergo, yeah, it's a little odd that anything would be overwriting it. Not hating on you Nanashi50. I don't even know yah. I do see an attitude among some veterans of this game though that anybody they don't know must be a noob though and that's frustrating. Nobody will even answer questions on the Bethesda forums unless you're in with the in crowd (for example). I've seen that kill a few otherwise decent MMOs too. Getting back to my situation... SG textures work fine and so does the Milkdrinker skin. I deleted the old copy of Fair Skin, and re-downloaded and installed it. Ankle seam gaps are gone except slightly visible when I run. The Crotch issue is still there was of this morning when I went to bed, albeit slightly reduced. Now that I'm more awake I'll go check if RaceMenu Overlay compilation is screwing with it, since that's the only thing obvious. Link to comment
blueballbob
Try using Everybody's Different Redone and make some texture packs. I've got Mature Textures, SG, Fairskin and True Daughters. You can use them in race menu as well for your PC to try them all out. Link to comment

As it is, a few more experiments seems to have found my problem. Fair Skin's "goosebumps" option to give the skin a bit more texture is flawed. I changed that option on my last reinstall and the problem is gone. RaceMenu Overlay Compilation and KJ's Tattoos were innocent. Only took 3 or 4 installs of Fair Skins to figure it out. As for your issue, I was hoping to see a screenshot so there'd be no confusion over what you were seeing. Your issue sounds like one of those hard to troubleshoot issues b/c only you would know how you installed your stuff. So seeing a screenshot would at least help narrow down the possibilities.
