Is there a way to properly combine them together? I would try but im reinstalling skyrim..

Reason I am asking is ECE has a few features Racemenu doesnt, mostly like head size, shoulder size ect.

No. Both mods clearly state that they are incompatible.

Not really what it said but ok. It does say they can work together just not well, I was hoping someone had some more info on that, but oh wells, thanks for the help :D

I don't know that RaceMenu can adjust head size or shoulder size, although Groovtama's XPMSE 2.6 gives you loads of new body adjustments. However I know that RaceMenu has the sculpt function that is a bit beyond my capability, but I believe you can make much more intricate adjustments to the head and face.

ECE has had vertex editing for ages which compares to sculpt function. Only difference is that ECE's vertex editing is muuuch simpler to use xd

"Vertex Edit" compares to "Sculpt Mode", and only difference is the "simpler to use", sorry but that is non-sense

"Vertex Edit" supports => head, vanilla head only

"Sculpt Mode" supports => head, hair, eyes, custom head parts, other head meshes than vanilla (Citrus, Lady Head, all High Poly heads)

Difference is "Vertex Edit" is ages behind "Sculpt Mode" already.

It is simpler, simpler to use maybe when you have never seen a 3d modeling tool from the inside maybe then "Vertex Edit" might be easier.

In terms of sculpting the face to your liking, it does in fact compare and you can not deny that ^^

Sculpt mode is buggy in racemenu, i have tried it yes :b Sure it's easy for me to sculpt in racemenu as well, but the fact that it doesn't mirror proper is a no-go for me c:

And yes, for many ppl it IS simpler. I'm talking majority, not myself, not you, but majority.

Sure some people might prefer sculpting in racemenu over ECE, but then again it's a personal preference whether you NEED to be able to sculpt hair, eyes, mouth and so on, or if you only want to focus on the face.

Fact is, both mods have each their ups and downs which may appeal differently depending on the individual - so there's no need to be so immature as to hate on something else just cause it's not to your liking :b Come on, we aren't 12 xD

I'm 12 and I don't like you.  B)

@Topic: No, RM isn't compatible with ECE since a few versions ago anymore. Back then it somehow worked in some ways, not anymore. At least you shouldn't even attempt it. RaceMenu has everything you need that ECE has, so there's no reason to use both at the same time, no matter which you like more or is better, including a head size slider and more if you use the XPMS Extended skeleton (which also has everything you need if you combined it with RM).

It's pretty easy to create a decent looking character using ECE, which is the whole reason I prefer it over RM, despite the fact that it's more advanced and has some fancy features. RM, isn't that much better than vanilla in that respect, but I haven't tried the latest version.

I agree, for some reason, using ece I can make a pretty face in minutes, while with racemenu, it takes a loooooong time. Which is kinda bad in terms of looking at a face so much, that she starts looking decent, but when you've exported her, turned her into a follower, you see her and go "she looked much better while I was making her."

When it comes to creating a follower, what I've done is this. I have made a mod that replaces all female nord textures and meshes with ygnord ones. I enable Ece, make a ygnord female, disable ece and enable racemenu and nord to ygnord replacer. Import exported ece face to racemenu using Cell's mod and then finalize all the details with sculpt mode.

RM can do anythig ECE can + more, namely:

  • ingame adjustment of weapon styles/positions and automatically select coresponding draw animations, for PC and NPCs individually (NPC support with EFF4)
  • ingame selection of Bodyslide/UUNP Bodymorph, (for PC and each follower individually (outfits will match bodytype, if outfits are built with morph support, NPC support with EFF4)
  • ingame selection of overlays such as tattoos, freckles etc. again for PC and NPCs individually (NPC support with EFF4)

Hello guys !

There is a way to use the body tattoos of RaceMenu with ECE ? Cause my characters look better with ECE but i cant use freckles, body moles and stuff like that.

You can use the tris and presets (vanilla) of ECE in RM by deactiving CharacterMakerExtender and leave EnhacedCharacterEdit active, the presets are usable in RM as they are in CME same for tris.

Awesome info thanks! But another question (DIdnt want to make another thread for this) got my game installed and my character looks like the chick from the Ring. It seems complexion is messing up. Weirdly enough if I move the complexion to back and back to what it was before that complexion preset changes to just the beautiful normal skin my character had before. Its like its overlapping complexions or something, never seen that before. But yea I can play but once I save and load the complexion is back to normal and my character officially looks like she just crawled up a well and out some guys tv.

EDIT: just in case no one got what I was saying Here is a picture of whats happening.

Complexion is at 5 and she is scary looking.

Complexion 4 is nicer but same outcome after saving and reloading.

Now look at complexion 5 again..

Hey she looks normal until save and reload... Also something worth mentioning, if i do a whole new character and go to nord, the face is missing a texture(its blue) but if i change the complexion forward and back like I do here its normal. I dont know what I did but this is crazy!
