LaEspada Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 Just like the titles says, it's those situations where you get and epiphany or something like that. For example today That moment when you realize you have so many plugins that you don't even use anymore in Skyrim Going through my entire load order and mods to realize half this stuff I don't even use in Skyrim anymore. Ends up with almost 30 less esp's in my load order.... Was at 161 plugins now down to 128 plugins. Doesn't necessarily have to be about modding. That moment when a guard comes up to do and says No Lollygaging Fus ro dah that ho.
Monsterman556 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 That Moment when... You spend hours organizing downloading tons of mods between clothes, Body, And other fun things only to play for 5 minutes to get what you "want" then stop playing Skyrim to do something else almost immediately to come back later on. Only to find all your installed mods have been updated and require clean saves and re-downloads for new fun sounding features that just beg you to go through all that again. I have this moment every time i go to play skyrim. If i didn't have Mod Organizer I'd probably have lost it within the last year
Spyder Arachnid Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 That moment when..... You spend months gathering tons of gaming soundtracks to build the perfect Personalized Music playlist. You browse sites after sites, going from A-Z, listening to track after track, just to find all the perfect music to fit every scenario. Then you fill up every single folder to the max in the entire Personalized Music collection, and create the most awesome compilation to play Skyrim to. Then you unistall Skyrim and delete all your mods cause you figured you are done playing Skyrim. Then you want to start playing again, and realize you don't have that awesome Personalized Music playlist that you spent months making, and in order to get it back, you have to go through all that all over again. Yeah........ doing that now.......
Irrational Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 That moment when... -You have a ton of mods you plan to install, but takes longer than expected because you keep losing track with all those windows you have open. -When you open creation kit to work on something but the thought of it makes you lazy so you just close it after it opens. -When you boot up Skyrim but forgot to check the plugin. -When you find a cool mod, but it's incompatible with your mod list. -You accidentally end SL Animations mid-TFC rendering your mouse useless.
Kaz Aanh Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 That moment when . . . I forget to type tai in the console and I proceed to spawn a chest via console , open it up , take all items that are inside and suddenly a ninja guard appears telling me its a crime and I m going to the jail. But I'm in the middle of photo-session. . .
itt1968 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 That moment when.... You download a rather cool looking mod and realize you already have it installed.... DUH!!! lol
quasimodo75 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 The moment when: ...you wonder why the framerate has dropped significantly almost everywhere until you realize you got so many half-naked female followers with high-res texture and fluent body physics that it eats up the biggest parts of your computer performance. Kick em out, get monogamic!
wulfgear09 Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 That moment when ... You down load a mod that is an upgrade and it says use fresh game .....then you forget it is installed and play an old favorite chr and everything goes haywire for some damn reason.
afa Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 ...you install cool outfits and armor, but always went back to vanilla replacer because the stats or slots are off, and feeling too lazy to edit the esp. ...your "download now and will take a look later list" is spanning for months and the mods have since then update so you download again and the cycle continues.
DomDate Posted April 5, 2015 Posted April 5, 2015 I stared modding because I loved Skyrim and it's sandbox beyond my willingness to see the game come to a conclusion. I started to develop my own mods for the same reason... to continue playing. I started looking at other creator's serious role-play mods to do and be something new. My epiphany? This: I was creating a location mod where the difficult to locate Tundra Defence mod could reside... and suddenly realised that all of my game-hours were now spent trying to avoid all quest-lines etc. which were the original point of the game, while still existing and chasing new interests within the Skyrim setting... And just like that, my mod changed purpose from being a one-time/one-mod location fix to becoming an environment solution for all role-play styled mods. If I could add a second epiphany... I'm not sure when I last just played - I seem to only launch the game to test the progress of my own mod now. LOL
LaEspada Posted April 5, 2015 Author Posted April 5, 2015 That moment when You've modded skyrim for hours on end, all ready to play. Only to get bored 2-3 hours later.
Modder1322 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 That moment when... You try to play Skyrim only to be plagued by constant random CTDs and give up on playing. Then you go back a few months later and try again only for the same thing to happen. Repeat this a few more times. And then finally you realize that all of the the CTDs have had one thing in common and years of frustration was as simple as uninstalling one mod. In case you're wondering what the mod was, it was Convenient Horses. I don't think it gets along with Skyrim Immersive Creatures. Or maybe too many scripts were running.
quasimodo75 Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 Too many scripts... Yessss. Got some heavily scripted additional quests going along whilst building my house, also heavily modified. Incredibly long loading times. Threw it all out, got back to basics and did one quest at a time.
Shirobako Posted April 6, 2015 Posted April 6, 2015 That moment when you see a decent looking follower mod not published in nexus or here in an asian site. You download and install it, but because you don't have their exact shadowless enb and settings, the followers end up looking like vanilla npc or something really scary. This happened on every single one I've downloaded except for one. Around 4-5 so far.

I've never had an issue with Convenient Horses, maybe try using Immersive horses instead? It's much more lightweight and still does the good things without the weirdness of convenient horses.
DCLXVI Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 That moment when... You think about playing Skyrim all day only to get home and turn on Fallout NV. that Fatman :D
Captain Cobra Posted April 7, 2015 Posted April 7, 2015 Having to put a bunch of armors through body slide again because I fucked them up some how AAAUUUUUUUUGH.

Cynical Misanthrope Posted April 10, 2015 Posted April 10, 2015 The moment when: I un-installed Skyrim. Good times.
TurboCheeks Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 That moment when you spend more time looking for cool mods than actually playing Skyirm.
Userper Posted April 12, 2015 Posted April 12, 2015 That moment when... you download an awesome armor mod only to realize you don't have the right body installed...
Kodiak Posted April 14, 2015 Posted April 14, 2015 That moment of excitement when you decide to return to Skyrim and reinstall, only to realize how lost you really are in regards to Skyrim mods because you haven't been paying attention to it for the last two years.....
LaEspada Posted April 15, 2015 Author Posted April 15, 2015 That moment when You're doing Season Unending at the negotiations, and you get the Imperials TWO, TWO god -damned holds of skyrim, and are still disappointed in you. Just because they lost Markarth... You got +1 holds YAY.
