HDT Skinned Mesh Physics Tutorial

Recommended Posts

I think we both have old CPUs and that's the problem.  My best guess is Hydro is compiling with AVX or one of the newer SSEs.  Don't really know what I'm talking about, just using .dmp exception codes and google.

Maybe he could make it backwards compatible by compiling differently, but, again, very little idea what I'm talking about.

Hopefully Hydro sees this, knows what's going on, and saves the day.  Fingers crossed.

I know right? Really hope that something can be done.

if your characters have just blue reflective skin or pink skin try going to your plugins folder open up hdtSkyrimMemPatch.ini and turn off faster loading was simple as that for me to fix it

also could not be happier with the physics so smooth for doing any activity

When I try to load into a save or start a new game I get an instant CTD when it finishes loading with this.

This is what my hdtSkyrimMemPatch log says if it helps.

Okay so, I have discovered that my PC is to blame for it not working. I copied my entire Skyrim installation to my external hard drive and placed it on my laptop and the HDT physics work like a charm. I really wish I knew what was preventing it from working on my PC....

However, I did run into one snag.... When SMP is installed on my laptop, it turns my characters pink. Why is that?

I have the same issue, I installed HDT-SMP on a vanilla Skyrim install with bare bones mods on an old 2008 Dell laptop that I use for testing/working on individual armors.  Physics work like a champ on the laptop (running Hi-Algo Boost), but when I try on my desktop rig I get a consistent CTD when making the character naked.  I have torn both Skryim builds - laptop/desktop - down to the same components, just unofficial patches, FNIS, Realistic Ragdolls, XPMSE 2.50 default, and CBBE (HDT) using MO.  No ENB, and I made both sets of skyrim/skyrimprefs.ini files the same.  Also I never had an issue running HDT-PE on my desktop.

I don't think it comes down to the "old CPU," because my laptop is really old.  My laptop is running an Intel T8300 and the nvidia 8300m GPU hardwired into the laptop.  The desktop is an AMD 955 BE and a Radeon 295 GPU.  Both are running SSDs and the same version of Win7 x64.  I do have the desktop set up to run unsigned drivers for vJoy (joystick emluator/remixer).

Anyways those are all the differences I can think of between the two machines, I wanted to share my issues so that others who can't implement HDT-SMP can share a solution, if found.  I also attached my crash logs.

Old CPUs don't support newer "instructions sets."  That's the problem.  AMD and Intel have competing instruction sets (AMD lost) and their cpus don't support competing instructions.

Buy intel/nvidia.  Stats don't matter when the entire industry is geared towards those.

On the plus side, SMP isn't at the point it's better than PE.  The collision sucks, but the hardware demands and future potential are better.

Edit. To clarify your error message, this means it's an instruction issue:  ERROR: Code : 0xc000001d

Thanks for your help with that, using my HTPC which has a newer AMD CPU solved the issue.  I guess they program the compatibility for newer instruction sets in as they go.

I really wanted to get this working to start modding armors using SMP more than anything.  I see a lot of potential for solving hangups that HDT-PE gave me which caused me to hang up modding armors because I couldn't fully realize what I wanted to create.

Ok guys, thank you for this wonderful new plaything.

I just have one little problem with it.

I am using K enb pure light, when SMP is installed I get purpleish light. (The sky is really bright and radiates purpleish- white bright light.Everything seems brighter and with a bit of purple saturation. At nights and interiors seems fine (maybe a bit darker, I am not sure about it, but I like this way.)

If I open up the enb ingame customization menu, it is flooded with a message that enb effect file got something to do with null point zero error.

If I delete SMP files the enb functions correctly, no errors.

If I put them back, the error is coming back too.

Any help appreciated, please.

(Open GL driver installed for AMD)

(Texture fast loading set to false to prevent texture errors)

I need a bit of help.  I'm playing LE using MO2 as SMP physics.  For the most part it works fine.  But I just recently found out that a major issue I've been dealing with is caused by SMP.  Whenever an NPC (and only NPCs) transform from werewolf back into human form I get a CTD.  How can I fix this?

Disabling SMP stops the CTD, but I want to keep SMP since 99% of my outfit and hair mods depend on it.  I don't understand SMP settings or such things.  So it's likely I set it up the wrong way somewhere.  Can someone knowledgeable please advise me on this?
