Do You Know Who I Am?

I don't often pull this on people but stumbled on one of the aversions of this the other day, I think it was Maven, it was a genuine surprise (even though I knew it happened).

As far as translations go, is anyone working on the even more obnoxious translation of this?

"Give me your gold or I'll [whatever the line is]"

"Piss off! I'm DRAGONBORN. Without me you'd be dragon turd floating in the aether. You should be giving me your money."

"Ok, OK. No need to go on about it, we've all got to make a liv-"

"AND I've just smeared that prick Miraak all over some tentacly things"

"Who's Miraak?"

"Oh, yeah, I suppose there's no reason you'd know him. Don't know really, he turned up a couple of times, twirled a moustache and then vanished. Then he turned up in some weird fever dream (must stop watching Japanese tentacle porn), asking to be killed by wielding a unique item that I did not yet own. Suffice to say he would have killed you ALL if I hadn't bravely stepped in."

"I guess I have to believe-"

"And every vampire everywhere, except for a spurious few living obviously in plain sight, hidden only by the need to scroll all the way down the conversation tree to accuse them, is now dead because of ME! Kneel Before Me, Mortal!"

"whimper"

As the dragonborn is evil, after all.

DYKWIA version EEEEEEVIL!

Here's the description:

Are you the Dragonborn, slayer of Alduin, savior of the world, the most powerful mortal in existence? And are you a badass fucker who won't take no shit from anybody?

And are you tired of various self-important NPCs telling you that you're worthless and weak? Like you were some sort of normal person instead of a god-killing terror of the land?

Are you irritated at the simpletons who threaten you with bodily harm, when it's obvious that you can destroy them with a flick of your finger? And do, repeatedly and with great enthusiasm?

Do you occasionally wonder, after Unrelenting Force-ing a snarky NPC off a cliff, why nobody seems to recognize your greatness? Or at least, present the knock-kneed, bowl-trembling terror that can pass for respect in a dim light?

Well, wonder no longer, for you can now ask these sanctimonious bastards and mewling swine that all-important question...

Do You Know Who I Am, You Pathetic Fucktard?

Many NPCs throughout Skyrim, who previously would have tried to block your progress, totally convinced that their positions of petty power lent them some sort of protection, as if you weren't ready, willing, and able to tear them limb from limb, will respond to the question appropriately, by shitting themselves and either running away or curling into a little ball of mindless fear.

"If you see a copy of this book could you bring-"

"Do I look like a librarian? Fuck Off. Find your own shitting books"

etc etc. Forget LAL, Tiefling or Wildings for an alternative game. A new AS mod, maybe? You start with Miraak, Harkon and Alduin all dead and a world that is scared of you.

theDeModcracy made a video. Nifty!

So I just got my movie deal... next maybe I can get a six-book series out of my Skyrim playthrough!

Have you had a mod video-reviewed?

If we're going that route, I'd really like to have some spells that allow you to burn down villages. Mace Raiden, for example, would be only too happy to exterminate the population of Falkreath for being ignorant cunts.

EDIT: Come to think of it, I do believe there is a mod out there that allows you to tell quest-giving NPCs to fuck off. Not using those words, but IIRC it did allow you the option to say not interested when people would give you minor quests, and either block the quest one time or permanently.

Can't remember what it was called, though...

There's a variety of late- or no-start mods for various levels of quest. None are properly rude about it though, which is a shame as, you know? Swearing is funny.

Derp... this last update included a hello/greetings comment that can be heard from all followers, including horses and dogs. The next update will fix it.

Fixed.

I found a serious problem with the latest version I downloaded and installed.

I'm at Level 57, already finished everything in vanilla, dawnguard and dragonborn, plus every single side quest, daedric and so on.

In fact, I'm using this character mainly because I no longer have important quest to do. She's a "Test Toon".

Well, the problem is that Aela, after installing DYKWIM, has the dialogue about Vilkas and now it's impossible to interact with her in different manner.

Every time I active her, she starts the same line about Vilkas, already killed Alduin and so on.

I no longer can recruit her as follower, or ask her for missions. Nothing.

Btw, her appearance is changed using Bjin Warmaidens and nothing more. Her behaviours are standard vanilla.

The only thing added to the latest version that has to do with Aela are a couple of hello dialogues.

I can't see why they'd be blocking anything, they're just like every other new dialogue... have those been working properly?

The only other place where Aela should have any DYKWIA dialogue is in the initial join-up stages, where she asks if you could take Vilkas in a real fight, and looking at it again there could be a problem there.
Did you kill Alduin before joining the Companions, or after? I appear to have forgotten to add an appropriate condition to her dialogue. It doesn't look like it should block anything, but it is missing, so I'd suppose that must be the problem.
It isn't a new thing, though, that bit hasn't been changed since version 4. I have no idea why it would suddenly start causing you problems when you update.

I added in the condition, try this version, see if that fixes it?

p.s. Props and kudos for finishing everything in the game. I wish I had that kind of stamina. :)

I killed Alduin after I joined the Companions. In fact, I slayed the Worldeater even after I became Harbinger.

The vanilla dialogue of Aela asking me if I could beat Vilkas during a real fight was already done ages ago, before I had DYKWIA in the game.

As I wrote, I installed DYKWIA after I finished everything, with this toon as testing cavia for a lot of mod, for future new starts (yeah, again! I already played Skyrim at least 20 times).

The two dialog lines you showed in the picture: I heard them by other Companions, not from Aela.

I'll test the attached fix as soon I'll can. TY.

Okay, that shoots one of my theories out of the water. Still, here's hoping the fix works. If not, then I'm stumped.

I don't know why Aela would not have those hello dialogues and the other companions would. She is a Companion, right? I'm not hallucinating or anything?

v15b is up

Minor bugfix to hopefully stop horses and dogs speaking to the player. Fingers crossed!

Included some previous bugfixes.

Added in generic hello/greetings lines to Silver Hand.

Hello, thank you for the update!

I have also updated the Japanese translation patch file (for TESVtranslator or Skyrim Strings Localizer)  to your latest update.

#I translated just one more line (greeting from the member of the Silver-Hand), in addition to some proof-readings, but it's good to keep the file you kindly make a link up to date.

Done, changed the OP. And thanks! :)

I have to say, I'm not really a fan of the way the Nexus does file uploading. Too many things that have to be just right and too many ways to make it wrong. All fixable, of course, but... can't I just fire off a file and let it go?

Anyway, it seems like I was a dork twice, I guess - uploaded v15a and called it 15b for some reason.

That, or I made some changes to 15b and forgot about them.

Either way, uploaded 15b again, which I *think* is the real 15b and not an impostor this time around.

Hello, thanks for the update.

I have just updated the Japanese translation patch to your latest one (v16: Feb. 14, 2016, I hope the 'right' one...),

including the language patch for dykwia_mcm.pex.

The following is the link to the uploader: http://skup.dip.jp/up/up11503.zip

Thank you for your continued work on this. :)

I tried to update this mod, but it looks like my to-do list is way out of date. That is, there were about a dozen things I wanted to add, and only after spending about an hour total undoing the tangled mess the dialogue views are in, it turns out that I've already done most of them.

So I don't know exactly what's still to do!

So this update contains only these changes:

Irileth will have DYKWIA dialogue when you first meet her.

Urzoga the Orc in Cidhna Mine.

Cleaned with xedit.

I didn't add in the stormcloak or legion patrols (you're interfering with Imperial business etc) because their hostility trigger goes off anyway. Rather than let them go aggressive without warning, I left in their lines when you get too close.

Master Neloth is best left for another day. The dialogue views are complicated, and I haven't had the patience for that lately.

Seeking help from people who've posted suggestions - I wonder if you would be so good as to re-post your suggestions? Because I don't know what I'm still missing!

The moral of the story is - use something, anything at all, better than a text file for your to-do lists. Some cloud thing like github maybe. But not a text file. Dammit.

Okay, now that's done... I'm gone again until Friday probably. :(

EDIT: And I have no idea why this one is now twice the size of the last one. I didn't add that much!

My guess would be something different in the compression of the new version of 7zip. "Ultra" apparently doesn't mean "ultra" any more. And lzma2 may be faulty. Your guess is as good as mine.

Let me start by saying this mod is AMAZING!

Now my suggestion, this isn't exactly in relation to being Dragonborn but that Njada (did I spell that right) in companions guild is a constant bitch to your character with possibly the most constant disrespect in the game rivaled only by Nazeem even after you've destroyed the silver hand and become Harbinger she still has such a lousy attitude almost forcing me to mark her for delete.

Anyways good work and keep going!

One more thing, I use Amorous Adventures (as well as other mods that add or change some quest dialogue) before I use this mod I am already anticipating that it could attempt to alter something that is already altered by another mod (AA) only way I could see that being avoided is if you only added dialogue paths rather than alter them (which it kind of looks like that in the sample video) allowing the player to choose whether the npc knows about them being dragonborn or not (after all word travels on foot in Skyrim) idk just a passing thought now to try the mod and I shall return! :)

Njada is a good one. Done, added her to my (new) to-do list. :)

Some conversations are edited, but very few IIRC. Most are just added. In fact, I don't think there are more than one or two that are edited dialogues... if that? Now that I think about it, I'm not sure I actually changed anything in vanilla. Can't remember, honestly.

However, there are still going to be conflicts - for example, Sexlab Solutions conflicts with DYKWIA in several spots (there's a patch, linked in the OP). In case of conflicts, whichever mod is lower in your load order will take precedence.
