I'm having a problem with the mod at the moment.

 

I created a household filled with male hookers and I've sent them all out to whore but they can't seem to pick up any customers. Every other man I've had them ask has said no and i'm not sure how to get them to be successful. Is there any tips or anything I can do to increase their success rate?

To be successful your target has to be horny first and also I think sexual preference plays a huge part in it as well. I never tried to use hooker/callgirl feature on same sex.

To make them horny wear revealing clothing, or use the kinky dance, etc... Or you can just use the debug by clicking on the customer/target you want (kinky menu<Debug<Make horny). Sorry if those are not exact commands from menu... I'm currently citing it from the top of my head. Hope that helps

Yeah, we (patrons) are beta testers since 9 months now. Wow. With some past builds working better than the public one.

 

The public version REALLY need to be updated more often, even if it's just as words from oniki to know what's going on. I don't think it's fine that people have to be/go to patreon page in order to know how the mod is going, since the mod is free in its essence and patreon should be here only as support, nothing else.

 

Maybe I should be selfish aswell and don't care about people that can't use patreon shit.

If you can't afford 5 USD a month your priorities should not be "gaming". Do you also complain that WoW charges a monthly fee? The Sims have for a long time have had "pay-for-mods". This is not a new concept. This is not Skyrim where free mods have always been available for TES based games. The Sims Exchange also charges for maps and items. I ""choose" to support Ashal's website LL since managing a website is NOT free. I also support Dark0ne's Nexus website for the same reason. Sure there are benefits to doing so, like faster download times and removal of ads. Does that annoy you? Should that also be included for non-paying website visitors? I don't think so. Oniki, L666, Mike24, etc can charge for their work, and if there are Skyrim/Oblivion/etc modders who also wish to do so, so be it. It is their choice. Who are you to demand something for free?

 

Oniki's choice is (was?) to make a free mod, Patreon is (was?) intented to help her.

Did you read the initial post? I guess not. No one demand something to be free, since it's intented to be a free mod. But it seems it's not the case and people should have an official ETA about it. 

 

This is my opinion : Even if I don't really care about the mod being free or behind a paywall, what I don't like it's using Loverslab popularity in order to get some $$$ and then don't care about the forum anymore nor about a free release.

 

Oniki have the time to answer in patreon (I know it since I'm a patron myself) but she doesn't have the time to say anything here? I think it's one of the reason people saying the mod is no longer free and will never be updated since there is no communication in Loverslab anymore.

Mod was never 'advertised' as a FREE. It is just mockup to pressure modauthor.

Yet there it is released free, and next version is in progress.

hmm well currently my only real complain toward this mod is the "lack of communication' and patch notes, most of the mods which i see here at last the author comes hre and show what he is currently working, but here the only way to see it is or "paying"(even to see patch note) or ask for a backer to post it, could be more polite for the mod author at last sometimes post his progress work for we can know at last what is happening, if him/she have time to talk with the patreons bakers then why not with peoples around here, where everything started and she/he have more peoples around.

I pay for the mod, and have done well before it stopped getting updates, and there is nothing wrong with charging for the mod, but as other's have pointed out, it's NOT about being paid content, it's about lack of communication and lack of updates. There has been ZERO public updates from the author, no feedback, no comments, no patches. Nothing. Originally the free version would get regular updates, but there has been nothing since last year, not even a word, so for all we know the free version is the last version you guys will ever get.

Paying $5 per month, for 12 months, is $60, or the price of two full EA expansion packs, every year.  Now, you can quibble about $5 being "not that much money," but let's not pretend that it ends at $5, since Patreon payments are deducted monthly and are thus ongoing.  

 

I'm a Patron member and I've given to Onkikay happily, but if I'm being honest, Kinky World is not equal to two EA expansion packs in terms of gameplay.  It adds amazing gameplay, but is it equal to, for example, Into the Future and Island Paradise combined?  Nope.  So there's no point in shaming people who opt not to pay for the mod.  And for the people who don't pay and are complaining about the mod, well, some of your concerns are valid, but at the end of the day, you get what you pay for.  If someone gives you something for free, you kind of have to be content with what you get.

The thing is you don't actually pay for the mod, you intend to give money to an artist/programmer because you like her work. From this point of view it's ok if patrons get something extra but it would be also nice if the rest got just anything.

At the same time I understand it's difficult to work on a mod and communicate with that many people. But from our perspective talking only with patrons, not the creator, about things we don't see is meaningless.

 

 

 

 

 

 

One of my female sims is a well known callgirl with lots of experience etc. and never had any escort situation. There are wealthy sims in my world (Paradise Islands) a restaurant and a disco. Even when I use kinky debug option 'trigger escort situation' nothing happens.

What's wrong?

Your sim will only receive an escort call if they meet the requirements. To find out if they do, look in the skill journal for woohoo. Their professional title should say "high class escort." If it does, enroll as a call girl using the cell phone or a computer. Then you can trigger a call using the debug option, but be aware that escort calls only happen after 5pm. The mod automatically creates NPC clients, so the number of wealthy sims in your world does not matter. If the title is not "high class escort," you can force it using the debug option on the sim: Kinky>debug>skills & traits.

If you haven't already, click the disco rabbithole icon and use the Kinky menu to register it as a dance club. Do the same with the resorts to register them as hotels. They need at least one hotel to check in to.

If it still won't work, enable debug under "notifications" in the settings menu. Try to trigger an escort situation again using Kinky debug and the popups should tell you what's wrong.

Ouch. I hate to say it, but when I had this problem the only way I could fix it was by starting a new game. That, or uninstalling Kinky mod and then running the save with ErrorTrap installed. The uninstalling/ErrorTrap route isn't ideal because your sims will lose Kinky skills, stats, and some will even be missing. I assume that you didn't install the mod into a new game, but into a current save? Because I've never heard of it happening in a new game.

If you're using the Patreon version, have you set any sexual preferences? If not, then the mod is experiencing a bug in which it is having trouble creating the clients that you need for an escort situation. If you have changed the preferences, it could be that no clients meet the criteria that you've set.

 

I started new games in several cities an the game still claimed there were no potential customers. Any idea?

Again, I just feel like it'd be rad if Oniki at least updated the free mod to the version where the horrible lag is fixed.  It's not even close to the most recent release, but the game is more playable!  At least give people the less laggy version! D;

You're suppose to be getting what you were promised... money is not always the main focus or a transaction. And this people is mad because they didnt get what they were promised. 

 

Again, it all comes back to lack of communication, which translates to the ilussion that the author doesn't care. If is true or not, I could not tell, and any of us for that matter. A few words will be nice tough. No need of promises, or goodies (even though it will be greatly apreciated) just a plain statement saying "this version is what you get for free, for new releases and improvements please pay" or "Release is on the way, just be patient".  Any of those answers are ok, and acceptable, and any of those answers will help people to make decisions to either pay for updates if they feel like it, to just expect and use the free version or to change to another mod. 

 

No promises broken.
