Sacremas Posted July 18, 2015 Author Posted July 18, 2015 Hello everyone, Yesterday he spent several hours watching movies tutorial Mod Organizer. perhaps because of my difficulty with English, I still have some problems to install some mod and other things that I did not understand very well. I always used NMM for its simplicity but, when I would follow the advice of Sacremas, I'm trying to learn how to use MO . it seems much more sophisticated and comprehensive but takes much longer to learn in full all the features. the options are not difficult to apply, but there are many, many and not easy to memorize them all. problems: I figured out how to install the mods that initially reported "no game date in top level", but for some the command "set data directory" does not solve. for example: "FNIS Behavior V5_5 - ALWAYS Necessary-11811-5-5.7z" is properly installed with the option "set data directory" but for "FNIS Behavior V5_5 Fix 1-11811-5-5-fix1.7z "," TES5Edit 3.1.1-25859-3-1-1.7z "and others this is not working. how can I fix when I encounter this kind of problem? other question: I have a folder to archive all the mods that interest me. if I install a mod with M.O. from this folder, category, version etc. not shown. I'm forced to download directly from the page nexus to have this data? sorry if it will seem silly questions but it is the first time I use MO I would like to learn it because it seems nice. Thanks in advance FNIS Behavior V5_5 Fix 1-11811-5-5-fix1.7z will always report as error because MO doesn't think there's any game data on top level. JUst make sure Tools directory is the one you are seeing and press okay and ignore the warning, it'll work. TES5Edit however you do not install via MO, it's not a mod, you install it manually to a separate directory like C:\Program Files\xEdit or anywhere else (I have mine In E:\Games\TES5Edit), then you create a executable shortcut to it in Mod Organizer like I describe on the first page under Basic Setup and Maintanance and run it from MO that way.
Sacremas Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 My dragons keeps getting one-shot even with deadly dragons giving them +1000 % extra health and +1200 armor, so I'm upgrading to Enhanced Super Mighty Dragons again. It seems that undead that spawn in the 40s (deathlords and the like) have a higher base health than dragons actually, because they're taking way more effort to kill than the dragons, both have about the same settings via Deadly Dragons/Monsters. I'm also taking out Ultimate Dragons in case it's wing stagger is part of the problem, it was kind of an unimpressive mod. However Dynamic THings apparently refused to leave my load order. The things it changed are still changed (I can pour ale and the like) and papyrus keeps complaining about it even when I've removed the mod and used savegame script cleaner to remove the leftover scripts. Bad idea to install that mod overall.
Sacremas Posted July 19, 2015 Author Posted July 19, 2015 I ran into the weirdest bug, I got abducted by the Dark Brotherhood as part of the start of that questline, but when I wake up in the shack the Argonian immediately dies, which freezes me and I can't talk to Astrid, and player control never resumes. Setstage DB02 10 fixed it however. One stroke from Volendrung later and I'm off to destroy the Dark Brotherhood.
Old Book Posted July 19, 2015 Posted July 19, 2015 I notice you have Dynamic Loot in your load order.I ran with Dynamic Loot and Realistic Loot Light 2 for a long time, and am very interested in GrimmyBunyip's GUISE, which among other things adds enchanted items to loot. I took out the first two because I was trying to get rid of anything non-essential that might put a serious strain on a game that was crashing in almost every big combat. Do you have any opinion on these three mods? Is it relatively safe to put one or all back in?
Skippe Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 hmm i have destroyed darkbrotherhood only a one time just to see it and for kicks and fun i mostly join it XD . deadly dragons is for me a challange i have to admit i don powerlevel smithing or enchanting and dont try to make goodlike armors or weapons either usually. deadlords are tought oh boy they are tought i usually save my strongest healin potions for them and try take magicregenaration highest as posible in lightarmor just for healing XD skyre has enemy scalin which is something you might want to test if you want normal wolfs or bandits to level bit more balanced with you there is also enemy ai overhaul which gives more shouts or using magic more variatly to your enemies or make them smarter. you can use both of them separetelly or if you want to experience challange use them together like i tried i basicly needed to stay my toes and think before tryin fightin marauder or blooded vampire and up XD i used skyre overhaul so yeah hehe . skyre i am not sure if its author still cheks it frequeantly for support i think he now concentrates for perkus maximus for more. enemy ai overhaul is pretty stable for my experience so i often use it in my games tought now i try without it to see difrence it makes without it and marauders and blooded vampires snow versions and bears are this moment something that gives challange in human and animal enemies. well dragons and giants will wreck my pc easily XD and mammoths and well everything higher level enemies.
erissimaco82 Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Hello everyone, other question: I have a folder to archive all the mods that interest me. if I install a mod with M.O. from this folder, category, version etc. not shown. I'm forced to download directly from the page nexus to have this data? sorry if it will seem silly questions but it is the first time I use MO I would like to learn it because it seems nice. Thanks in advance Once you get a Mod into Mod Organizer from any location other than Nexus (Download with Manager), you must find the mod.7z and right click it and choose Query info. This tells bit defender to look up the mods Nexus ID and get the relevant information from Nexus. This will NOT work on mods Downloaded from any other site, ie. Loverslab Mods. Also some times MO gets confused about what the mods Nexus ID is and you have to put it in manually. thanks for the reply. what you say it is right. if I may, I Would indeed still ask two things: 1) sometimes, during installation, we require version. There are a few options but do not know which is the correct one. where I find the right one? 2) If I amount to NMM., Or load directly from nexus, the mods are shown in the right column "download" of MO. if load from my folder "skyrim mod." no. rightly so? ciao

Sabielin Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Strangely enough, LOOT needed to be updated in order for my game to run smoothly again but after I installed a couple rustic texture replacer mods, it went right back to this "Go outside and I'll crash you off your game" state. My game is so bipolar. Even after uninstalling these textures, I'm hit with CTDs. I'm starting to wonder if it's because of the Weather mods and ENB.

It's important in case you later want to install MO for Fallout 4 for example, you need to be able to diffrentiate which of your MO installs is for SKyrim and which is for Fallout. I notice you have Dynamic Loot in your load order. I ran with Dynamic Loot and Realistic Loot Light 2 for a long time, and am very interested in GrimmyBunyip's GUISE, which among other things adds enchanted items to loot. However I'm taking it out next play because I have actually never used any of the items it generates.
Old Book Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Dynamic Loot is a mod that seems cooler in theory than in play. Enemies that are armed with magic armor and weapons should be tougher, and if you have a steady supply of looted magic items it should reduce the temptation to use Enchantment and Alchemy to become the Dovah God. In play, though, the only thing I usually noticed was extra danger from some of the magic weapons. That Alchemy - Enchanting loop is just too tempting when it's there at all, and as soon as I got to 100 enchanting I'd say goodbye to my Dynamic gear and wear items I crafted myself. Still, I'm thinking of using it again. GrimmyBunyip's crafting overhaul is interesting because it at least changes the game a bit. I'm hoping Ordinator will do something interesting with crafting.
Sacremas Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 I actually only enchant my own armor (sometimes not even that), for weapons and jewelry what I use instead comes from these mods; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/57872/? http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/53004/? Both are fantastic mods, I'm using currently either Dovahdaan against dragons (+50 % damage vs dragons, ignores half their armor), or against others I use the Rueful Axe from Clavicus Vile's quest, it's got a very cool vanilla look and Daedric Artifacts Improved let me change it to give +50 % damage vs monsters and ignore 35 % armor rating on enemies. For jewerly I either use a ring of improved critical hits +30 % chance from More Interesting Loot (my SPERG perks adds +150 % critical damage with axes and another +30 % chance of crits, it's BRUTAL), or a Greater Ring of Slaying if I have it (+100 % physical damage and +50 % crit vs one specific type of creature, like Undead or Elves, so far I've only found the Khajiit version which is a bit useless and I dont' want to cheat for a Undead or Dragons version, but instead just play theg ame until I find it) and the Gauldur Amulet, which adds +50 health, stamina and magicka and more importantly adds +10 % to EVERYTHING; physical damage, critical chance and damage, all resistances, all spell damage, all potion magnitudes, and so on. Makes going after the blasted thing through three and a half dungeon actually useful. PLus it gives a spell when equipped to travel to Archmage Gauldur's Refuge in Oblivion, a nice mini-player home you can visit at any time and dump stuff. I've also in the past used the Masque of Clavicus VIle (+35 % shout recovery, stack it with 5 % from well satiated with iNeed, +20 % from amulet, +20 % from blessing, +20 % from Frostfall or Campfire's backpack and those terrific Thunderchild shouts have instant recovery), the Ebony Mail (either make it an assassin's delight of a light armor with massive sneak, or impenetrable heavy armor with fire immunity or a poison cloak) and Dawnbreaker (+35 unresistable Sun damage, +50 % damage vs Undead, and power attacking vampires below 35 % health makes them explode, or you can lower the damage and get a power to either make any fire damage you take instead heal you - perfect for vampires - or make your restoration spells get double magnitude - making it a great Holy Avenger for a Paladin). I've never tried to get Spellbreaker with Daedirc Artifacts Improved, but I'm guessing it would make mages and dragon priests a LOT easier to fight, given that even the vanilla Spellbreaker is great. Mostly from the smithing/alchemy/enchanting wheel I just go for a really good Smithing to max out my armor and weapon damage, for enchantmets I usually only put them on my companions gear to make them catch up to me. I got Lydia with a +800 % or so one-handed and +500 % archery, a healing cloak that also heals me, immunity to magic and all elements, and some quick healing rate. My own Orc is still wearing Warchief armor I enchanted before I even maxed out enchantment, so it's kinda useless for anything but the armor value. But I keep transforming any greater or grand soul gems into black gems, filling those then consuming them as part of Death Alternative when I meet a cursed draugr death overlord or something like that capable of one-shotting me. My dragons are set with such massive damage that if I don't kill them fast I usually get killed 2-3 times from one Assault and have to consume either black soulgems or dragon souls. I think I've consumed 20 black soulgems and 10+ dragon souls by now to resurrect me.
Old Book Posted July 20, 2015 Posted July 20, 2015 Possibly because of the script load in my game, I've found that both the Aurora Stones Love Never Dies power and SkyTweak's extra lives scripts only work about half the time. I sometimes recover from "fatal" blows, sometimes not. I'll try putting Death Alternative back.
Sacremas Posted July 20, 2015 Author Posted July 20, 2015 Just added Get Snowy to my load order, it's a brilliant mod that is script free and does what Frostfall and Wet & Cold does normally when your'e in a cold area, putting a snow shader on you and your gear. I higly recommend it if you aren't using either of those mods. http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/19660/?(I use version 4.2) Also get this for Dragonborn's ash storms; http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/35390/?
Old Book Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Tried running briefly with More Dangerous Enemies v1.6 (75% less spawns version). Was repeatedly attacked by Level 40+ monsters in Helgen Keep and on the way to Riverwood. Looking over the smoking ruins of Riverwood, half her citizens dead while the rest huddle in terror in their homes (thanks to Immersive Citizens), I can kind of see why this was not on your list of recommended mods.
Sacremas Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Yeah I don't generally recommend random spawn mods at all other than ASIS. Sands of Time team has a new mod out called Genesis, I haven't looked at it or tried it but I'm just going to stay away, anyone with some experience with these kinds of mods and SoT in particular should know from experience just how "brilliant" it is just from the description. Adding Succubus Heart and Achieve That! to my load order now.
Old Book Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 I'm mainly looking for variety in opponents, ideally opponents that don't bring me out of the game, are entertaining to fight, and look great.Immersive Creatures and Deadly Wenches are great for that. FEMALE puts sexy monsters back into Tamriel, something that mostly went away after Daggerfall. Colorful Magic adds some tough fights with great looking and relatively lore friendly monsters. I can't think of any other opponent mods I've really been happy with.
Sacremas Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 I've been pleasantly surprised by Grimoire, it looks to be a good mod to complement Apocalypse etc. Have a skeletal dragon permanent summon guarding the entrance to Paradise Valley now. It's got some neat transformation spells as well that I've been missing. Also I just realized I'm an absolute idiot and you guys should stop listening to me entirely. Uglykidcid optimized the textures and DLC bsa's and sent to me months ago right, so I went in and deleted the bsas. Then I find out weeks later that I should disable everything in what he sent other than the textures, or bugs may occur... and then I forgot entirely that I had deleted the damn BSAs, so I disabled those folders, and so all three DLCs have been without anything but ESMs and textures since. Jolly good game mate, now go shoot yourself please. Gaaah!
erissimaco82 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Sacremas: Doesn't matter, the only difference is that if you put it in "games\mod organizer for SKyrim" ("for skyrim" is important) then you have to choose what game it's for, if you put it in "Skyrim\Mod Organizer" then it automatically knows it's MO for SKyrim. Sacremas Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Clothing and Clutter Fixes are going off my Load Order, it's causing grayfaces via ASIS and putting ugy cloaks covering up the hairdos of my sexy priestesses and mages. I think I've replaced everything in it anyway via LSAR and such.
Sabielin Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 A quick question, bro. I've been curious about these armor sets appearing when they're not downloaded on my game, lol. I was also beginning to think it was one of Koffman's outfit mods that had this clutter, too. Not sure. Is there a line in TES5 Edit where I'll see this? Edit: Found the problem. Silly me.
Sacremas Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 To find it easily you could have in-game done help bandaid, the first two numbers of that refID would be the location in your load order of the mod adding those items, with 6F for example being mod number 96 in your load order if SKyrim.esm was 0. It's the right most number in Mod Organizer.
fishburger67 Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Wondering if anyone has tried Zaz 6.05 and if so, is it causing you any issues?
Sacremas Posted July 21, 2015 Author Posted July 21, 2015 Not using ZAZ in my current playlist because the NSAPs already fill out all my animations, once Sexlab 1.6 comes with a bigger library I'll add it. I've heard some folks had issues though.
MallaVelve Posted July 21, 2015 Posted July 21, 2015 Wondering if anyone has tried Zaz 6.05 and if so, is it causing you any issues? I am using 6.06 with .07 patch so. 6.07 and I don't have any problems other than the usual issues of some scenes getting off to a bad start at stage 1 but correcting for the rest.
Sabielin Posted July 22, 2015 Posted July 22, 2015 Yep. My game finally kicked the bucket and gave up working. Completely unplayable now. I'll roughly assume I'm running too many scripts and/or SKSE is fucking up the original game, or trying to improve it but the original game files just kicks SKSE to the curb and just simply crashes. Even "coc riverwood" with a small few cosmetic mods is too much. Doesn't help when the game had bugs, glitches and crash errors to begin with, though.
