Spectre_15 Posted January 23, 2015 Posted January 23, 2015 These games... the first one I legitimately cried when the special edition sold out (I was broker than broke when it was announced). Â The second, I cant really find an official screenshot for, but yea. Â February 13th, Im planning on changing my avatar because of my new addiction. Â
kionee Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Bards Tale IV was just announced yesterday, and as a big fan of the originals back in the..80's, lol....I cannot wait to see what they do with this. Especially after Wasteland 2 was SO good.Â
Buddy Christ Posted January 26, 2015 Author Posted January 26, 2015 Hmm, if they go back to the roots, "Bard's Tale IV" might be interesting. (I am not sure if you are being sarcastic about Wasteland 2 being SO good, though ) As much as I liked the humor and the voice of Cary Elwes in the 2005 "The Bard's Tale", it was not a BT for me. They should have slapped another title on it and I would have really loved the game, but the title was something that annoyed me. Â So, yeah, if they go back to the old Bard's Tale games, I am looking forward to run around in Skara Brae again Â
kionee Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Yep, it's going back to it's root and back to Skara Brae. And I loved Wasteland 2, so no I wasn't being sarcastic...lol
LordJerle Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Dragon Ball Xenoverse and DOA 5: Last Round. Â Finally some good fighting game releases on PC.
Angrybird Posted January 26, 2015 Posted January 26, 2015 Â Â Â Â I never ever get desires to buy stupid collector's stuff but the golden 3DS with the majora's mask got me thinking for a few minutes.
Veta Posted January 27, 2015 Posted January 27, 2015 Â I just shit myself. Â MUST HAVE. Â A third one already , are they shiting these out ? Â
LordJerle Posted January 28, 2015 Posted January 28, 2015 Â Â Â Â Â I never ever get desires to buy stupid collector's stuff but the golden 3DS with the majora's mask got me thinking for a few minutes. Â Â I'm sorry, but Majora's mask was a horrible follow up to Ocarina.
Spectre_15 Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Â Â Â Â Â Â I never ever get desires to buy stupid collector's stuff but the golden 3DS with the majora's mask got me thinking for a few minutes. Â Â I'm sorry, but Majora's mask was a horrible follow up to Ocarina. Â Majora's Mask was the best Zelda game ever released, and far superior than Ocarina of Time. Â Ocarina of Time was boring and slow, not picking up until the Adult section. Â Majora's Mask was equally slow and boring during first cycle, but the first cycle was only about a half hour if you know what you're doing, where as Ocarina of Time's child section is at least an hour or two. Â Majora's Mask plays a MAJOR emphasis on side questing, and that is the main drawing point for myself and many fans. Â The side quests are incredibly fun. Â The time mechanic, one of the things everyone hates on, is probably the best part. Â Because of the time mechanic, you can constantly replay your favorite dungeons, which while they're not the greatest dungeons in the series, are all awesome in their designs. Â If the time mechanic is the reason you can't beat this game, I hate to be that guy, but you probably just suck at Zelda.
Vaelorian Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Considering this:  Please keep this discussion about the games you are excited about and not whether or not you take issue with a game someone else is excited about. I would also like to point out that we don't take kindly to politicizing topics like this and people throwing around trivializing accusations.  I don't think you should have posted this:  Majora's Mask was the best Zelda game ever released, and far superior than Ocarina of Time.  Ocarina of Time was boring and slow, not picking up until the Adult section.  Majora's Mask was equally slow and boring during first cycle, but the first cycle was only about a half hour if you know what you're doing, where as Ocarina of Time's child section is at least an hour or two.  Majora's Mask plays a MAJOR emphasis on side questing, and that is the main drawing point for myself and many fans.  The side quests are incredibly fun.  The time mechanic, one of the things everyone hates on, is probably the best part.  Because of the time mechanic, you can constantly replay your favorite dungeons, which while they're not the greatest dungeons in the series, are all awesome in their designs.  If the time mechanic is the reason you can't beat this game, I hate to be that guy, but you probably just suck at Zelda.  I don't play Zelda games, personally, but bashing another forum member for liking a particular game more than your favorite, then assuming something about him and saying that he "just sucks at the game" is simply immature, and shows blatant disrespect for the forum rules (which, as the above quote shows, were already mentioned in this thread once).  I understand that you like the game, and that's fine, but this zealous rush to insult anyone who dares dislike your game is not something you should cultivate.   To get back on topic, here's my list of most anticipated games:    I apologize for the incredibly long list. -V
FallenWarrior Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Your list doesn't show when clicking the "Spoiler" button.
Buddy Christ Posted January 29, 2015 Author Posted January 29, 2015 Maybe Vaelorian's list is meant to be like that because there isn't much to look forward to?
pornphile Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Maybe it's irony to show that he thinks there are no worthwhile games coming out.
Angrybird Posted January 29, 2015 Posted January 29, 2015 Starbound  Yeah, yheaaaaa... I don't know, I wanted to be a space cowboy for a few hours and play the harmonica, it's out? Maybe but not really, guess I'll take a look.
ToJKa Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Homeworld (1&2) remastered Looks like they didn't screw it up
LordJerle Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Homeworld (1&2) remastered  Looks like they didn't screw it up  I pre-ordered it yesterday along with Dragon Ball Xenoverse
Angrybird Posted January 30, 2015 Posted January 30, 2015 Starbound  This game really went into a disgusting direction, one hour in and I'm still doing quests, yawn.
Cynical Misanthrope Posted February 1, 2015 Posted February 1, 2015 I stopped long time ago, too look forward to new games these days. But I have to agree, Hatred looks great.
MikeJones84 Posted February 3, 2015 Posted February 3, 2015 I don't really keep up to date on upcoming games but I know Frictional Games has a new one coming out called SOMA, a sci-fi horror adventure. Will probably buy it
Buddy Christ Posted February 8, 2015 Author Posted February 8, 2015 After playing "Just Cause 2" for the first time for several hours, I have to add "Just Cause 3" to my list
