Lore of ANK: it's Arrow 'n Knee (Arrow & Knee) MOD Team, in short. Well, later I found out that the Ank, is actually the Egyptian Cross. Not sure if we could make quests out of it, and still lore friendly. BTW, it's not just a big shop anymore, it's a real underground castle, may become a palace in the future. The MOD: The textures for armors and weapons have been optimized, and everything is packed into a .bsa file. So the pack is larger. But it's worth downloading. Before, previews in Inventory View was just too slow, because of the insane memory usage, and changing new clothes too rapidly causes CTD. Now, previews is evidently faster, and CTD is hopefully reduced. With this update, you can forget about other versions for now, until v4 comes out. Files: Please be advised: the addon files have changed since version2.0. All the two .esp files from v1 have been removed and replaced with one single ank_castle_addon.esp. The three .esp's can not co-exist. No matter which version you choose post-v2, in your MOD manager, you should check these files so that the MOD will work correctly: skyrim.esm update.esm ank_castle_main.esm ank_castle_addon.esp ank_castle_main.bsa Asking for help!!! Send them .wav to me, at childeroland@163.com or childeroland1987@gmail.com I (Cicattrix) have uploaded this mod here because too many people were asking on ”What mod is this?” thread for a faster way to download it, as the links provided by the authors are hurtfully slow and the original 7zip file was more than 200 MB. With the last update, the whole mod was reduced to 3 files, as all the files where compressed into a .bsa, with a size of 557 MB, so I was forced to split it in 3 rar files. Here is what you have to do: 1. create a new folder and unzip all 5 archives linked bellow into it: data.zip, ank_castle_main bsa.part1.rar, ank_castle_main bsa.part2.rar, ank_castle_main bsa.part3.rar, info,zip. 2. after this you will have 3 files: ank_castle_main.esm, ank_castle_addon.esp and ank_castle_main.bsa. 3a. move them to Data folder of your game - fastest way, unless deleting 3 files is something hard for you. 3b. you can re-pack all 3 files of the mod (the .bsa, .esp and .esm) with 7zip or rar, then load it into NMM and install it - this way you can cleanly uninstall it with just one click. 4. be sure to enable the .bsa, .esp and .esm files when launching the game, but also be sure to have the v1 and v2 and first v3 upload .esp and .esm files cleared from Data folder. 5. check the map from the Info folder to see where to find the shop and the pictures to know what to expect inside and dont get an heart stroke. 6. beware that the girls do business only between 8-20! game time, not yours, silly! and also beware that those bitches dont give the money back! blame Childe Roland for this... 7. buy what armors, clothes and weapons you like. but keep in mind that most of those sets are ported by force, which means that many boots will work only with their armors and many armors will have bugs without all their pieces. 8. wear them with pride! 9. praise the Arrow&Knee ModTeam. 10. be happy! Warning! After many complains of CTDs, I have tested the mod myself, in v2.0 using the files from my links on a laptop running the game on Medium Settings. It worked fine, I have moved through the different rooms, went through about 10 loaded screens, bought armors and weapons. I have been CTD only once after getting outside with the elevator, when I wanted to enter again, but after restart I have entered w/o issues and all the loadings went fine each time after that. other than this, the only strange thing was that the vendors havent given me the money when I have sold back some items, although they cashed me when I have bought them. oh, and I`ve observed some lag at times, especially when approaching some NPC inside. other that these, the Castle looks quite great and it shows some good feeling for style. I havent tested v3.0.7 yet, bust as the size of the mod files was reduced by 5 times, I suppose Childe Roland is right when he say that all goes faster and smoother now. So, if you get CTD at the entrance is surely not because of the mod, but because one of these causes: - you havent updated your game at the latest patch (was an issue in v2, but not sure if is still the same with v3. but should work at least with patch 4) - you havent placed the files correctly (all 3 must be in Data folder and enabled into Data files) - you havent cleaned the old esp files from v1 or v2 and first v3.0 - you have a conflict between mods - your computer have issues handling the mod (especially if you have Beth Hi-Res pack on) For those having slower PCs, I recommend you to try and use the Texture optimizer mod (http://skyrim.nexusmods.com/downloads/file.php?id=12801). It doesnt reduce the quality, only it compress the dds files to a smaller size. Anyway, feel free to ask bellow if you still have issues. And if you search for some solution for your issue, know that the comments about v3.0.7 will start from page 13-14. (date and time) dont move them, just replace then if needed if your using a bouncing boobs skeleton, then use that one to replace all the other skeleton_female.nif's cherry's Bouncing boobs has a skeleton the latest Animated Prostitution installs 3 skeletons XXX adult show installs a skeleton so if any of those are different they WILL cause a CTD should do the same as above for skeletonbeast_female.nif

darkkent27 Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 ok so ive tried almost everything. to the extent that im able to enter the castle with out any problems with all wepaon mods installed, but as soon as i turn on a face mod say "envision" or a body mod like "cbbe" i get a ctd. I just wanna give up. and maybe hope a good soul will try to upload a stand alone version of the armors only found in the castle especially the angel guard and black rock shooter T_T

~Illusion Posted February 29, 2012 Posted February 29, 2012 guys please, help me (exactly us) with installing. just get ctd every time i enter the castle. i think the only reason for it could be missing textures or meshes. but i'm sure i have installed it all to the right place. in case with oblivion the archive invalidation helped usually, is there the same thing for skyrim? btw, does it require any localization strings? and what exactly the requirements of this mod?
