Lykai120 Posted October 22, 2016 Posted October 22, 2016 So I saw MXR feature this and I love how it looks but after downloading every potion has the fancy shape but they are all the same shade of purple bottle and all. I'm still new to modding stuff. Wondering if someone could help me fix this. Same thing here. I put the Potions.esp and the patch dead last in my load order, but I have the same "no texture Purple" on some and many are missing the mesh entirely. If I drop a potion to the ground, it disappears. I tried again and selected "No" when the patch wanted to overwrite, and I put the patch after Potions in the load order. Some are still missing, and many of the potions are now Renamed to potions of "faint, good, Remarkable, Surpassing". Is that from the Main Potions mod or the Patch?? I'd love to be able to use this mod. What am I missing?? Thanks! Yea i have the same issue here ._. or no my problem is just the glowy thing

It successfully replaces the potions, but they don't interact with the lighting well and sort of have a twitching/blinking and the animations don't play properly. Unless it's in the menu. In the game menu they work 100% perfect no problems. But specifically Health, Stamina and Magicka potions (so far) have twitching issues with lighting/animations in the game world.

I really like to stay by that mod in Special Edition Yeah same Issues here, no clue on how to fix this, also textures seem to be vary dim and don't glow as bright as i thought they would. Hope this mod gets a SE update worked on i really like this mod.

Thanks for such a wonderful mod! Never has a mod so small made such a difference in my game.

You could provide a link to the requirement. c: Secondly, will this replace potions created at the alchemy table? Requiem is a Skyrim overhaul. It's not a requirement for the mod. Use the vanilla esp. It will replace the potions created at the alchemy table with the same limitations of vanilla Skyrim (that is, one potion mesh for beneficial user-made potions, and another potion mesh for user-made poisons). I'd very much like to assign different meshes for user made potions based on effects, but I don't believe it is possible, even with scripting and SKSE. If someone knows a way, I'd be happy to hear about it. Could, you, like, you know, specify which one is the Requiem version on the download page? Because that's the version I don't want.

The basic potions (minor heal/magica/stamina) are purple and poisen is invisebil.When i drop them they simply vanish. I Installed it Manually copyd all the files manually etc and still nothing. has something changed or do i missread something here? Im using the old Skyrim (with all DLC´s but no texture packs) with no other potion mod. kinda frustading to bring a little bit of greatness into the game

I have used the patch 0.2v The "glowy" depends on your set up, and ENB. When some bottle works and other do not. This means probably another mod is overwritting this mod, if you use a mod manager you need to put this down of whatever mod are modifying this file, you could easy see what mod its making this. Just open TES5EDIT, load your mods and see the higthligth red data.
Raddlia Posted November 23, 2017 Posted November 23, 2017 (edited) I know this is an old topic but just in case anyone here is still having the purple texture problem I'm going to explain what went wrong, since i just went through installing this myself. First with NMM the downloaded zips path is like this PotionsReplacer.zip [00-Core <Textures, Meshes> | 01-Requiem 1.7 | <Potions - Requiem17.esp> | 01-Vanilla <Potions.esp> | Pictures | readme.txt] Now the reason this isn't working with NMM is because the the program is placing these folders into the game folder and the game isn't connecting to them since neither the meshes nor the textures are making themselves known to the game. Nothing is ending up in the right place when NMM is steering the wheel. But then how are you getting the meshes and not the textures??? The patch is putting them there since it is set-up like this [Meshes | Textures | Potions - Requiem17.esp | Potions.esp | Readme_Potions Patch 0.2] Notice how the Meshes and Textures are right away seen instead of being further away in the pathing? That's why you see meshes and not textures. So the solution, whether you choose to use NMM or not, is making sure the Meshes and textures are where they need to be, same goes with the .esp files (requiem or vanilla.) Don't forget to click that little check box that says Potions.esp (or its Requiem 1.7 equivalent) in the plugins tab in NMM or no pretty potions will occur at all! Broken or otherwise. Here are a couple of pictures so you can see the difference in how they were set-up. I hope this helps with making your Skyrim experience that much more sexy with these beautiful potions. ;o Edited November 23, 2017 by Raddlia
usyndicate6259 Posted January 19, 2018 Posted January 19, 2018 Hi I just downloaded this mod and initially, I had no potion textures, just purple. After messing around copying and pasting some DDS image files around, I was able to get the potion textures and animations working properly. However, after getting the potions to work, the bottle textures are now not working. Took some more time, got the glass bottle texture fixed, but the corks now are purple. More maneuvering, and now the corks are fully textured, but the trim on more elegant textures such as skooma are purple (mostly edges and rims). Keep moving around files, and now the corks and rims/edges are purple. I put everything back to how it was originally and nothing changed. what the hell is going on and how to I fix the textures? I have the main file (vanilla), the patch, and even the perma patch. Please help, maybe someone who has the mod working with no issues post a stream of photos their file folders (textures, meshes, etc.) or otherwise. I just don't want purple, textureless meshes on my beautiful potions. 1
Guest Posted March 25, 2018 Posted March 25, 2018 New patch is needed for Requiem 2.0(Yes, it's released as an optional download). If you had simply replaced the meshes instead of adding a new mesh location, it would have been compatible with everything and wouldn't need an esp.

Also, I've seen the patch for SSE. If you read the description, it even says it was converted from LE but I can't find it anywhere. Attempted to make the patch using xEdit and it works for the most part with the exception that when using the retort I got CTD. Anyone know where I can find the patch for LE or what else I need to make one that's fully functional?
MatinZ Posted October 6, 2019 Posted October 6, 2019 hi guys i made a new patch for Complete Alchemy and Cooking Overhaul (CACO) version 1.2 the version that was uploaded by DiscipleDarkfriend i think have some texture problem( (DiscipleDarkfriend version for me had some texture issue with the band on the top of the jars like the jar of restore health potions) and the name of potions do not match for version 1.2 so i made patch for 1.2 version and also fixed the textures CACO1.2 - Potion Replacer Patch.zip DiscipleDarkfriend version is on page 3 if anyone want to download
