RitualClarity Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Just a question and statement .. Â I had a hard time connecting to this site.. Was it down for maintenance? D.O.S attack? etc. Or just something with my internet provider.. ? Curious aliens wan to know. Â The time with the issue for me was between about 2pm Central Standard time to about 2:23.. Not sure if it was before.. However with the post times.. might have been a bit before. Â Hope all is well with the site and such..
pavelius_pavlentius Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I think, it was some kind of gateway problem, i wasn't able to connect too.
windpl Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 It wasn't you. But I'm doubtful that was ddos.
sapphyeatspaste Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 had the same for the last hour or two, left me crying and spamming refresh
Baron Samedi Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Likely some backserver issues since I was getting 502 errors.
dje34 Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 hmm... my fellow alien, this is something to investigate on.  logs anyone ? (I'm talking to the forums owners btw)
LordJerle Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Ashal addressed the fix for this in a post not too long ago, but I can't find it -.- EDITFound it. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/37179-503-error-on-chrome/?p=933890
RitualClarity Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 Ashal addressed the fix for this in a post not too long ago, but I can't find it -.- EDIT Found it. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/37179-503-error-on-chrome/?p=933890 Â I wasn't getting a 503 error or any error. It just wouldn't connect. It seem as if it happened to may others as well. Curious.. Â
bjornk Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 The site was down for about an hour or so, maybe a bit more. You can see it in the link below. Â http://downuptime.net/loverslab.com.html
RitualClarity Posted October 17, 2014 Author Posted October 17, 2014 I saw that site but wasn't sure it was accurate. That means that it was down for everyone then correct?
bjornk Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 I checked it with several other sites (isup.me etc), proxy servers and different vpn connections and they all reported that the site was down. The link above shows the down time though, it also checks the site by using different routes (countries) which makes it more accurate.
mkprovince Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 Nothing much on my end except that one hour blank near midnight last night. Otherwise, no problem at all.
bjornk Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 If I'm not mistaken LL server is behind Cloudflare and it shows us the cached content. Could be a problem with Cloudflare as well.
Ashal Posted October 17, 2014 Posted October 17, 2014 LL does not use cloudflare. I'd love for it to use cloudflare, unfortunately people complained endlessly when it was used. Â It was simply down, noticed it when I got home from work and rebooted server. Haven't looked deep into why yet.

I thought about proxies but didn't have one availalbe that I trusted for this site. ( free of course). Â LL does not use cloudflare. I'd love for it to use cloudflare, unfortunately people complained endlessly when it was used. Â It was simply down, noticed it when I got home from work and rebooted server. Haven't looked deep into why yet. Yes. I remember something about some issues that arose. However the down times were smaller than this last one.. Good to know that it was just down and that you will check into why. Â And now we have the official answer.. yea.. !. Not the reason.. but the answer.. .
bjornk Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Looks like LL's IP has changed again and now it's behind Cloudflare once again. I kept getting 503 today.Â
mkprovince Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Looks like LL's IP has changed again and now it's behind Cloudflare once again. I kept getting 503 today.  No such problem on my end though. Is it possible that you caught some sort of malware?
bjornk Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014  Looks like LL's IP has changed again and now it's behind Cloudflare once again. I kept getting 503 today. No such problem on my end though. Is it possible that you caught some sort of malware?   Erm no. One of the DNS servers I use wasn't updated and only got updated half an hour ago and it was pointing me to the old IP. I don't remember the old IP now, but if you could go there you'd also get a 503 error. Trust me, I know what I'm talking about.  There's an easy way to check it yourself, open a command prompt (Win + R, type cmd, press ENTER) and type "nslookup www.loverslab.com" and press enter, you'll get one or two IP addresses. If you then go to one of those addresses by copy/pasting them into your browser's address bar, you'll get a "Direct IP access not allowed" warning by Cloudflare. If you check Ashal's message above, he said that the site didn't use Cloudflare, but as you can see it now does.  Edit: This was the old IP giving me 503s. If you put it into your Windows hosts file, you'll also get a 503 error. Â
Ashal Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Had to move the site again to it's mirror as the primary because I've still not gotten around to setting up the site to use the mirror for downloads so I can easily manage bandwidth usage without transferring servers every month.  Switched to cloudflare in the middle of this process this month because fuck it, CloudFlare works. Anybody who has problems with it as far as I'm concerned, is the result of their own problem, and not cloudflare's problem which is simply doing it's job. A vast number of sites make use of it's services, and seeing as I'm paying out of pocket for the site theseÂ
Sunsakuka Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Um, Â So if I can not access the site with my computer is that the problem just me? Â If that's the case ... How do I solve the problem is?
Majuko Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Having the same problem here...Its off and on....
nutluck Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 Having the same problem here...Its off and on.... Â Same here, it was fine this morning. Down most of the afternoon and now fine again.
grooovus Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 i cant connect at all, it says something about 503 and maintanance, but a friend of mine (neighbor practically) connected without a problem, so i have to connect via a proxy, wich slows everything on an insane scale...

DissocialPersonality Posted October 20, 2014 Posted October 20, 2014 i couldnt connect and then i restarted my computer and it worked
