It's mostly based on the proposition/prostitution side of it. - Asking for triple rate as opposed to single or double seems to net you less caps? I noticed single and double always got me more, not sure why. - Is it by design that it is possible to be extorted by multiple people of the same faction? The Kings gangsmembers were on me all the time with that. - Also, it seems they never stop extorting you? I used bribe with sex and almost immediately I was getting extorted again by the same guy. - The privacy mechanic seems a little broken. It's really cool that NPCs now go to the last location you set as private yourself, but this easily bugs out. They can get there and then always say follow me and be stuck in a loop. Alternatively, the place can now for some reason not be classed as private anymore, or there is an NPC nearby, etc. But there is no way to tell them to go somewhere else or propose a new place yourself. I think there should always be a dialogue option that allows the player to choose a location, or a choice between the NPC and you at least. - Connected to the above, sometimes changing cell breaks the follow. Instead of being able to say "Here?" the only option is end, which breaks the encounter. I find it useful sometimes to change cell to be able to find better privacy. - When you proposition someone, you can start straight into the foreplay minigame. Then, when you or the NPC asks for privacy, the option to proposition is there again, and you can fail it this time. It's unclear if the previous proposition offer was already active or not, but it seems once you agree to "privacy" the option shouldn't be there if you already selected it earlier and the NPC agreed to it? - Is it by design that sometimes someone approaches you for sex but you only find out its for group sex in the act? - What is the lewd comment? It almost always invariably results in complain and I have no idea what its supposed to mean. - Choosing comply seems to always invariably lead to titjob. Is the randomness broken? - Also, sometimes denying a rumour confirms it instead. Thanks!

I've been posting new versions at such a fast rate in the last couple of weeks, that it's hard to tell which problem goes with which version. I suspect many of these should be fixed in the latest copy. If the player equips a prostitute outfit, the base player value for prostitution should be dumped to the console. Add sexual experience, preferences, and buffs to that value then multiply that value by 'rate' and you have the payout. So rate for one NPC does not necessarily calculate to the same rate for another NPC. I think I've fixed extortion in my current copy, which I'll upload here in a minute. I've been working on privacy for the last week now, and I think it's also fixed. The 'Here?' dialog has been removed and replaced with options that the player can choose last week sometime. I suspect you were still using an older copy when the privacy stuff happened. [Proposition] should not display if a rate has already been agreed to. This was fixed almost two weeks ago as far as I know. I've worked out the group sex options and added group follow last week sometime. There shouldn't be any more surprise groups in the latest copies. [Lewd] is basically 'talk dirty'. If the NPC isn't kinky, drunk, uninhibited, promiscuous, or prefers rough sex, then they probably won't hit on that dialog choice. Though if they do complain it shouldn't end foreplay. It might raise their inhibitions. Titjob was removed a long while back (I was getting the same problem as you). This tells me you're probably using a very old copy of the test dialog. As for rumors, sometimes the NPC won't buy your denial (more or less random). lol Let me know if you find any of these problems in the latest copies. All of the functions/features are in, so I'm past the building phase (except what I've forgotten). However, since I can't possibly test all the variations in this mod by my lonesome it's slow going. I got a dialogue immediately after bribing an extortion for cash where I was asked for sex for cash, but my only options were decline and reject. This was a super strange episode, because I was right in the middle of using drugs with the extortioner when he did that. He then proceeded to insult me twice, before trying to extort me again! One thing I've noticed for a while which I think needs some tweaking is how privacy vs public is detected. Right now, I am public even though I absolutely am not withing sight of a living soul. There may be someone in the adjacent room, or upstairs, but not in sight, which is what should matter. Right now finding a decent spot is nigh on impossible. Could there be an override option added that ignores the scan or LOS/nearby NPCs? Thanks for taking the time to explain the other stuff, really appreciate it. Keep up the good work T!

[Sex For Cash] is an offer of sex in exchange for cash (proposition). [Cash For Sex] is an offer of cash in exchange for sex (solicitation). I'm guessing the extortioner was also a prostitute. Which might explain why they tried to extort a second time. The [Comply] dialog for payment of extortion and the payment of prostitutes is located in the same topic. Though the prostitute payment doesn't clear any infractions. You can check with NX_GetEVFL "SOI:Prc:Prostitution" on the actor. In any case I've excluded prostitutes from enforcing infractions in the next copy. I'll post it here in a minute. The population monitor has a bit of a lag to it. So for example, did anyone see the player going to the private location? If so, they'll be included in detection even if they can't see the player (briefly). The trick is to wait a few seconds in the private location before considering the player private. Also when moving through a loading screen (fast travel/doors) it can take up to 6 seconds for the scanner to kick in again. You should see the 'scanner reset' line in the console when it does. Another tip is to just wait a few seconds and try again. So for example player walks to restroom with NPC, keys them up, they say [Follow Greeting], player chooses [Mark/Unmarked], NPC says [Public]. Player waits a few seconds, keys them again, then they say [Private]. You're essentially waiting for the NPCs that just detected the player to 'stop paying attention'. If the player is nowhere in sight, they should do just that. In other words, a short walk to a private location is not as private as a long walk to a private location. All that being said there could be a couple of things going on. 1. Is that you may need to clean save the dialog esp. Shouldn't change anything, but sometimes I get screwy results when the dialog esp has a lot of changes in it. 2. Would be something like where you lead Pacer to that room on the right at the Kings School. The hair dresser is just on the other side of that wall, and though I haven't tested it recently, I have experienced the hair dresser detecting through the wall if you try and select privacy while pushed up against it. I'll turn on the population monitor debug in this copy I'm about to post so you can get a better idea of what's going on with privacy. EDIT: Also what is your timescale set to? Paying a bribe, or bribing with sex will only hold them off for about 2-3 game hours. You should see a message when the permit expires. So if you're still on a timescale of 30, the permission you gain from complying with extortion won't last very long. If the faction relations with the extorting faction are good or the player is famous, they shouldn't consider working their territory an infraction. EDIT EDIT: I think I found it. New dialog esp posted. Should fix the [Sex For Cash] misfire when selecting [Advance] (which is sexual advance btw) while the NPC is uninhibited.

I was not aware of the timer element to the private location, that would explain a lot. I had no idea the extortion was only 2-3 hours, I thought a few days at most. It's almost impossible to be able to actually make any dosh in that window. I'm playing on the normal time scale, I haven;'t altered it. I also just noticed that if you solicit someone, they say maybe, then you use seduce and it succeeds and proceeds to foreplay, its not counted as a solicitation and there is no option to select payment. It feels a little unclear sometimes what leads to a successful solicitation and what leads to normal sex. An interesting thing that could be implemented is if you are raped or not paid while under protection, you could report that to the pimp, or mention it before the assault/refusal of payment. Same again if another faction/person tries to extort you if you are already under someone's protection. EDIT: Btw, on the newest versions, I still got only [End] on changing cells with someone following (technically 2 as it was a group) About the group, I saw the option appear as a dialogue option for me when someone solicited me, but I'm not sure if that means I am asking for a group, or if its available because I am being asked on behalf of a group. On selecting it, I noticed someone that was miles away started following me too, so I was unsure. Btw, when doing a clean save, what files would you recommend I deactivate, and which ones are OK to keep as they are? I'd rather not have to start from scratch with each version seeing how quickly you update them EDIT 2: As soon as my extortion grace ran out, I had 3 west side residents approach me and demand it. One resulted in [ATTACK] but she didn't go hostile.

The dialog was missing a condition that kept solicitation enabled NPCs from saying it. Extortion happens when working a territory that is controlled by a gang faction without permission. The settings are "SOI:Rcd:Permit" and "SOI:Rcd:Licensed" on the player. Permit is the number of hours permitted to work the territory. It should tick away until you get a warning message. Permits are gained by bribe/payoffs. Licensed represents an official license to permanently work the territory (only applies to NCR/The Strip territories). A license can be purchased at Doc Kemp if you have the quest esp installed. He'll give it to you for free if you complete the quest for Morales prior. If you get caught working The Strip and fail to comply with extortion, you can lose your license. To work the Strip permanently without hassle, you need "SOI:Rcd:Professional" set on the player. If you have the quest esp installed, this can be accomplished by getting hired at Gomorrah (see receptionist after you help Joana escape Gomorrah). I might be able to add some kind of multiplier based on timescale. Personally I don't think there's enough window to do anything at 30. Interact with one NPC and that could burn up the entire day. I always set mine manually in the console, usually around 10. If you set it too low you're liable to die from thirst/starvation when you sleep if you play hardcore (which I do). Project Nevada defaults to 20. I'll look into the coerce/seduce dialog. I haven't tested those options at all. I agree "SOI:Rcd:Clout" should play a role in extortion, that's a good idea. I'll try and add it in if it isn't already. Currently I think it just helps you get paid more reliably. Donkey shines.

If they're patrons, each should payout. All members of a group should be in the same grid. If they aren't, then I need to adjust that. I only clean save the dialog esp. Starting a new game probably wouldn't hurt, but I doubt it's necessary. If you have the quest esp installed, Pretty Sarah gives permission to work westside if you tell her Cook-Cook is dead. I haven't tested the attacks, but they should have actually attacked. So... you got lucky there. EDIT: I've added the option to [Threaten] extortioneers/stalkers in the dialog esp, just to test it out. It's very basic currently and needs expansion. Until it gets some testing/work, I wouldn't recommend threatening anyone unless the player actually has a pimp. The combat trigger should be working now.

Another bug I've ran into every now and then is that sometimes the option to talk/interact with NPCs disappears. It just disables, and forces you to load a previous save. Seems very random, the behaviour is similar to when someone is about to approach you. Except if you wait, nothing happens

I've had that bug in very old iterations of the mod and was never able to reproduce it. Haven't seen it yet in this one. I'm just shooting in the dark here, but maybe it has something to do with other mods? You should be fine to clean save any of the SOI mods without losing anything if you want to try that. I know my stability improved greatly after updating everything for the New Cal mod. I'm using the latest JIP and the newer 4GB Patch. Nobody extorted me in the 20 seconds I tested after telling her It could very well be other mods. I am having some odd behaviour. I am getting NPCs stuck inside each other during sex quite often. I just came out of an encounter with Veronica (also using JIP) where after the act I got the standard greeting but the only option was to end, as opposed to small talk. She also seems very confused by the JIP follow/relax packages and the Intimacy follow, I'm wondering how the two play together. I haven't tried the latest 4gb. What's new cal? ChancellorKremlin Posted December 6, 2018 Posted December 6, 2018 I'm also getting some other very strange behaviours since updating to the latest Sexout Beta, and using the new nvse_dll (the one required by JIP and Unethical Deeds) where for the first time I've ever seen, the SexoutPositioning key to pause the timer doesn't seem to work. I'm not sure how its being overriden as I've never seen it before, even with this combination of mods, but it is sadly happening.

Only played through it once when they first released it. Will probably go back to it once they fix a few things. Great mod, very fun. I meant the latest JIP LN NVSE Plugin not the companion control. That would explain a lot. This mod will probably conflict with that. See known issues in the OP. EDIT: The posts just before yours are LadyM and I trying to figure out how to deal with companion controls.

Yeah, I have that NVSE plugin too because the Companion JIP mod needs it I'll disable it for the SOI tests. To be fair, I might also disable tryouts, breeder, pregnancy, offspring, slavery and spunk. There's probably just too much going on right now, although as I said, I used to be able to use them and never have anim errors. First time I'm seeing the standing inside each other/ignoring pausing the timer issues, and this happens on all NPCs (not just companions) but I've also seen it with Tryouts, so its probably a Sexout issue. I'll try disabling/reinstalls till I get to the root of the issue, thanks again for the extra info!

Bug? Originally the rename method was similar to SexoutOffspring years ago. It worked perfectly for a while, then one day the rename wouldn't persist through reloads. So I changed to the current method. Then the current code worked perfectly for a while, and one day it started doing what you're describing. No clue why, but since it accomplishes renaming I just left well enough alone. I'm sure I'll revisit it at some point.

It's was added there primarily as a catch-all in the event that the NPC has no applicable dialog conditions. In other words, to prevent the 'zoom in, zoom out' no dialog bug. It's probably not necessary anymore, but I left it in as a placeholder for several implications. It could apply to losing their nerve. It could also apply to forgetfulness or indecision. Personally I always think of it as a rude awakening. Something like, you see an attractive woman at a distance. You approach her to maybe strike up a conversation. You get close enough to see that she was far more attractive at the other end of the room. So you change your mind all of a sudden. lol That sort of thing. EDIT: PS distance tracking is part of attraction in this mod. A couple tips. If the player is more appealing than the NPC, standing closer to them can increase attraction. If not, it can reduce attraction if you get in their personal space too much.

New character, clean save, I've equipped a fancy dress, two gloves, stockings and a hat, and set everything to fine quality. Most is also set to classy, pretty and sexy, and the dress itself to slutty/prostitute. I've noticed the only approaches I get in both the Tops and White Glove Society Casino is tresspass warnings (which are nice) and rumour approaches. I don't get any normal approaches and talking to anyone only ever results in small talk. I tried going outside and the results were the same. Any ideas?

I was play testing a few days ago and didn't see any issues. Every now and then I do get extremely unlucky with the random number rolls where they just don't 'land' on attraction. Trespass warnings are in fact 'Extortion' approaches done by non-persistent NPCs. Non-persistent NPCs can't be added to the tracking system. They tend to disappear and as a result screws up the tracking system when it tries to keep tabs on them. When they don't seem to be responding I usually keep an eye on their stats to see if something is off. Namely SOI:Mtr:Desire, SOI:Mtr:Lust, and SOI:Mtr:Attraction. If Desire or Lust is greater than SOI:Atr:Libido, they should gain approaches. But these will only fire if they hit on attraction. Every time they pass through the queue the system rolls 1d100 against attraction. If the roll is lower than their attraction, that's a hit. So you might try checking those numbers in the console to get a better picture of what's going on. I usually do the following in the console: - NX_GETEVFL "SOI:Atr:Libido" - NX_GETEVFL "SOI:Mtr:Attraction" - NX_GETEVFL "SOI:Mtr:Desire" - NX_GETEVFL "SOI:Mtr:Lust" Then I can select any NPC while in the console and just hit the up arrow on the keyboard so I don't have to type them again. If attraction is a low number, that could be why they aren't approaching. If desire/lust is lower than libido, they won't gain any sexual approaches. You can manually test this by setting desire/lust to a high number, which should definitely give them approaches. If all that checks out and it's just a matter of being unlucky with the attraction rolls, you could try setting the sensitivity higher in the control terminal settings (defaults to x2). Only returning [Small Talk] just means they aren't familiar with the PC yet. Familiarity is governed by SOI:Scn:Cycle. Some NPCs need to cycle greater than heart, others greater than libido. So manually setting SOI:Scn:Cycle to 100 will definitely make them familiar (cycle being the number of times they run through the queue). I've attached a copy that reports the attraction rolls to the console. Let me know how it goes.

I'm only using populated casinos (medium) now because with repopulated wasteland there is this annoying habit of certain NPCs disappearing/being replaced every few days, which essentially reset them. I used to name all the ones I'd talk to in an area and I'd come back later and they would all be "NCR Traveller" and so on for some reason I think something is broken. By the standards of the older versions, I'd have gotten approaches and people having other things to say. I tried the version you attached and the console commands and didn't seem to get much further. I've attached some screenshots which hopefully shed some light. I tried the console commands too - could you confirm I did them properly? They all seem to return 0. It doesn't matter who I am with or where, no approaches. Wondering if the clothing with 4-5 sets all set to fine might be affecting it? Also, do you remember the print console log to text command you can sometimes use to debug stuff? I could use that now and maybe that could help you? SOI.rar

You should wait until they pass through the queue at least once, and that they are compatible (flashing orange/red). Incompatibles (flashing blue) won't have any desire or lust unless they become curious by having their convictions worn down or uninhibited (probably due to intoxication). All clothing quality does is put the clothing item into a list, which in turn slightly increases/decreases attraction. Seeing as how you were getting attraction hits, I don't think this is related. If you can confirm that they actually have libido set, then you know they are in fact working. You could also try NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Mtr:Desire" 100, which should guarantee they'll pick up an approach. I'm going to start adding debug on behavior processing which I'll upload to the second post here shortly. In the meantime you might try setting these things manually.
