Thanks T, I'll try again tomorrow.

Nope, no mask. I'll also try a new game elsewhere and see if that behaviour persists.

Uploaded to the second post.  Added debug to indicate when attraction fails on behaviors.  I suspect this is the problem.  Let me know.

Thanks. Tried 2-3 different things.

First try, was again at the White Society casino, same outfit, settings, etc. DEBUG TXT 2 is the SCOF and I didn't get any approaches.

Started an earlier save before I activated SOI, same character, but different outfit. This time only set to medium quality, normal settings like accentuate all body parts, pretty sex, slutty, prostitute, etc. Sensitivity to 2. DEBUG 3 for this one. Stayed in GS for a while. No approaches. Moved to FreesideEastGate, still no approaches. (Both these locations have worked in the past)

Talking to a few people after fiddling with them via console shows they are up for sex, but for some reason approaches are broken on my end. I don't see the usual blue/red flashing every now and then either.

SOI_DEBUG_2.txt

DEBUG_3_NEW.txt

EDIT:

Sorry, I missed this part:

NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Mtr:Desire" 100 ;Set desire so they enter into flirtatious mode.

NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Bhv:Desire" 1 ;Set behavior to a desire approach (flirt).

NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Rpt:Behavior" 1 ;Set reports to dump behaviors to the console.

NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Rpt:Meter" 1 ;Set reports to dump meters to the console.

NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Rpt:Mode" 1 ;Set reports to dump modes to the console.

NX_SETEVFL "SOI:Rpt:Action" 1 ;Set reports to dump actions to the console.

I'll try again using these tomorrow.

Actually, got the time to try it.

White Glove Society hotel again. Used the commands, took a text SCOF, still the same results. Decided to go butt naked and managed to get an approach from a guest for decency. For the pièce de résistance I climbed on the bar and played with myself. Nothing :(

SOI_DEBUG_4.txt

For the behavior reports it should be SOI:Rpt:Behavior (no u).  Everything else looks normal.

I noticed in the debug you uploaded that you are getting attraction fails (which is normal).  This means that they are definitely gaining approaches (see spoiler).

I've tweaked the decay script a bit and uploaded it to the second post.  Decay should be slower now and as a result increase the odds of an approach.  Try it and let me know.

Spoiler

;This one had a flirt, but wasn't attracted enough to follow through with it.

Gambler (2D003697):fnSOIRunActsM:Desire Behavior Attraction Failed!

;This one had a sexual advance, but wasn't attracted enough to follow through with it.

White Glove (2D00367E):fnSOIRunActsM:Lust Behavior Attraction Failed!

I tried this and it seems to work, at least in NCRCF (that was walking around naked though, bunch of approaches)

Is there a way to like reset the scanner without losing all my progress? It's a fairly common bug that every now and then something hangs up and you are unable to use the key you assigned to interactions. This is a little problematic as that key also opens up the menu that you can use to pause/reset the mod, so maybe something in MCM or an alternate way of unsticking it?

Also, is there a way to set the dance anim length? I find it can sometimes go on for quite long and there appears to be no way to control it?

I'm not sure I understand?  Maybe we're talking about different things?

The scanner resets automatically every time the player moves to a new area, and is completely unrelated to the hotkey (the key you set to initiate dialog).  I haven't had that bug happen even once since the previous iteration of the mod (prior to version 0.1 of the current copy).

The hotkey should never open the control terminal (entirely separate function).  The control terminal should only ever open when the control terminal item is equipped in inventory.  Unless I know how to reproduce getting stuck, there's really no way for me to know how to 'unstick' it.

I've read that the engine will begin to shut quests down once it exceeds its limitations.  A couple things you could try, though I'm just making wild guesses.

- Try playing shorter sessions.  In other words, don't play for four hours straight.  Save, shut the game down, then launch again after you've played a couple of hours.

- Don't enable so many NPCs at once.  Enable them individually instead of enabling entire factions.  Be more selective and start with a small number.  If it doesn't get stuck, then add more.

- Try it without population mods. Keep in mind that the purpose of this mod is long term relationships.  Quality relationships with just a few NPCs is easy on the engine. Trying to achieve chance encounters with tons of NPCs is hard on the engine, and a waste of resources.

The dance duration is directly related to the length of the music.  Want shorter dances?  Use shorter songs.  The default music is only there as a placeholder (they are quite long). I always customize my music.

EDIT: The directory to customize music is in the spoiler under 'Install' in the OP.  Just rename your songs and overwrite the mp3s.

Here's another little trick.  I've attached a preset profile.  Edit it as you see fit, then place it in the root game folder (not /data but the /Fallout New Vegas folder).

Then in game, open the console, select an NPC, and type:

bat filename.txt

This way you can customize the NPCs stats instead of relying on the random generator.  You can rename the file and/or have multiple profiles that you can use as batch files to quickly set your NPCs however you like.

Hi. For some reason, I can only get [No Trespass Warning], despite starting a new character and waiting around in an area for a few minutes. When I attempt to engage in conversation with an NPC - with the set k - I get 'x is excluded!'.

Assuming "with set k" means you set your dialog hotkey to 'k', then 'left shift + k' brings up the NPC manager dialog to enable the NPC.  Excluded means they haven't been added to the system yet.

If [Enable] is not an option in the NPC manager dialog, then the NPC is probably not persistent and can't be added.  Non-persistent NPCs are spawned from leveled lists, and often disappear when the player leaves the area.  This will cause problems when the system tries to track them and they no longer exist in memory.

The [Trespass Warning] is the way excluded NPCs indicate that the player does not have permission to work in their factions territory.

Thank you very much for your continued support of this fantastic mod.

I can't remember if JIP Companions Command and Control is a good idea with SOI or not.

I mean I can't really play without it, but then I can't play FNV without SOI either. Would it break SOI if I used JIP CCC on a companion that is in the matrix ? Is there a way around doing irrevocable stuff ?

They will definitely fight over packaging, but nothing 'irrevocable' that I'm aware of.  The two are simply not compatible in that regard.  SOI allows NPCs to say no to the player.  JIP CCC does not.

Notice.  The site is so secure now that I can't upload any updates.  Not to mention I have to reset my password every single time I log in (if I log out).  Just so everyone knows why I am currently incapable of supporting this mod.  That is all.

Good to hear. I don't intend to use JIP CCC outside of combat, really, and maybe have followers heal themselves when needed.

Can I tell them to relax through JIP CCC, or should I do that only through dialog ?

Basically, I would like SOI to rule over my companions most of the time, even custom ones. I'm just looking for a way to ensure that.

You can use either one you want.  I just doubt you'll get the desired results because they're both trying to perform the same function when it comes to packaging (if you apply both to the same NPC).

That being said, I'm about to upload a new copy with a bunch of package related fixes here soon.  Stay tuned.

Much obliged, you truly are a gentleman and tireless provider of excellency to the FNV community here on LL.

I've almost finished my current setup. LOD generation should be next, and then fine-tuning my PC/custom race with unreasonably high-res textures and new flashy combat animations last.

SOI should be one of the highlights of my mod order as the only Sexout mod. Decided to go without pregnancy this time, because I just couldn't find room for it (was difficult enough to cram 190 mods into 120 slots). Also had issues with Spunk last time I ran it with SOI, so hopefully issues will be down to a minimum this time. It would be great if these two could cooperate in the future (through Spunk's lust mechanic ?).

I also saw that you posted some console commands (sample "profiles.txt") in one of your recent posts. Maybe can I convince you to add it to your next releases as documentation, so that it doesn't get "lost" ?

Anyway, thank you and eagerly awaiting the next release.

Spunk should cooperate fine with SOI?  In fact, SOI has built in features that rely on Spunk (if Spunk is installed). Ex: If the Player walks around with spunk all over them, NPCs may begin to spread rumors.  Also when NPC lovers give the Player certain looks or engage in lusty conversation, it can increase the Players lust level.  Foreplay nearly always increases the Players lust.

If you're talking about SOI 'using' Spunks lust tracking, they're two different things.  SOI's lust is primarily psychological, while Spunks is more physiological.

The profiles.txt file has always been in the documentation (api directory).  Documentation is installed to /Data/Docs/SexoutIntimacy/*, or you can extract the package and find it there.

No sweat.  Posting it shortly for testing.

Posted a new copy to downloads with a bunch of experimental fixes for packaging.  Also added a potential way to 'unstick' the mod if it stops working.  Not sure if it works, but I did encounter the bug again.

I don't think it has anything to do with bloat as previously stated.  Happened to me when I opened the PipBoy while an NPC was trying to dialog (with only 3 NPCs in the system total).  So I think it has something to do with interrupting the Dialog Key script.

I couldn't reproduce the bug when I tried, so it needs testing to confirm.  So if it happens to you, you can try hitting the [Force Restart] button in the Debug Settings in the control terminal.  Let me know.

Hey T, are you back to supporting this mod?  I'm playing again and I noticed you had many uploads.  I hope you're still around!

I'm still alive.  Haven't touched it in a while.  Still, another version on the way eventually.

Hi T!

Hope you are still around! Wasn't sure what you meant with LL being "super secure" and capchas now? I can still log in just fine.

I've been giving FNV another go recently and of course came straight back to SOI. Thanks for the profiles from the previous post, I've been able to use it to come up with some pretty interesting characters and scenarios (super duper "tense anger" jealousy) :D

Hope you're well!

No, that issue was solved a long time ago.  I can log in just fine as well.  No sweat on the profiles.  I'm doing fine.

I have another version of this with a simple form of pregnancy added (no pregnancy or spunk required).  Not ready for prime time though (doesn't spawn any offspring yet).

Still supporting this mod, though I probably won't be adding any new features.  I'm sure I'll get back to it eventually to wrap things up.  Wasn't getting any feedback so I've been off doing other things.

Good to hear from you.  Enjoy!

I need to start a new game myself.  If I can peel off from SSE long enough to play FONV again, I might be able to put some more time into this mod.

Don't work too hard.  Have fun!
