ok so like ive been trying this mod and i know this is a stupid question but the only options ive got to talk to people are [small talk] and [follow]

what does follow do, everytime i try it i get [negative response]

am i missing something? sorry im super new here 

 

More dialog options become available as you progress in your relationship.  I'm guessing that either a. The NPC is not compatible with the PC, or b. The NPC is only an acquaintance.  It just takes time and effort to get to know them on an individual basis.

 

If you walk up to a stranger and say 'Come with me.'.  A 'No' response is likely.  The standard follow is there mainly to pull them away from a crowd or undesired location so that the PC can speak to them without distractions.

 

EDIT: There isn't likely to be any such thing as stupid questions until extensive documentation is worked out and posted. lol

Alright I think I've figured out a better way to make promiscuity sticky.  And of course I forgot to fix the moods.  Crap!

 

Okay that should do it with the new one.  Now you can set "SOI:Prc:Promiscuous" for a static promiscuity level.  You must also make proclivities sticky.  Moods are also accounted for with this setting.  Added/updated to the example profile in the second post.

 

EDIT: Note.  When you set this, it takes control out of the players hands completely regarding promiscuity.  In other words, players will not be able to sway an NPC into or out of promiscuity.  Their levels will not change regardless of game play contrary to the fact (other than moods).

T, Is it possible for an NPC to "lie" about selection before sex, such as saying [solo] > picking [Handjob] but no handjob happens they just outright go for genital or anal as followed by animations for genital or anal acts? I just assume a scenario such as:
 
PC: Sorry my pussy and ass is off limits but I don't mind giving you a handy.
NPC: Yeah that'll be just fine.
NPC: Just kidding I changed my mind bitch! (literally fucks her right in the pussy).
 
If not then It's an (admittedly interesting/fun) issue I encountered and the first time I've had it happen.
Surprised me and had me legitimately panicking (have no BunX/BunAway) when I saw him starting to (technically, rape me) as I didn't agree to that only a handjob.
I know Spunk has a pullout key (don't know if SOI sex acts abide by it?) but at the time I forgot because of shock.

No that shouldn't happen.  It's because the rough proclivities set off the 'fast' flag and because NG doesn't have any rough solo anims it latched onto the fast flag and picked from the appropriate 'fast' anim group.  Should be fixed now.  Try the new one.

 

Also I've at least found out where the music is coming from in the wrangler.  Will have to coc there to test a fix, so it might be a bit.

Well that last one broke a few things.  I've removed that promiscuity setting and updated the second post example.  Long story short, the way that things are tied together prevents me from making proclivities individually sticky at this time (without a lot of extra work).  Sorry.

 

Until I can think of another way that isn't wildly convoluted, you can set SOI:Prc:Manual.  This also means that all other proclivities MUST be set and managed manually!  It essentially excludes that NPC from passing through proclivities altogether.  Which is entirely valid, as a modder might want to manage game play changes to proclivities themselves.

 

New copy posted.  In addition to the above, proclivities should be more accurate now.  Will try to get to the music soon.

 

EDIT: The difference in the audience was not the batch files.  It was the NPC promiscuity level.  Set them to at least one, and I bet they instantly become more interested in your performance.

I've looked it over and I can't see where there would be any problems.  Though those aren't really clothes, they are actually body suits.  The body is included when you equip them.  In addition, nothing has changed in the control terminal in a long long time.

 

If you can recreate the problem reliably let me know exactly how so I can pin it down.

 

EDIT: Are you using the Russian version?  I only looked over and tested the English version.

I have three boxes with kozzz clothing, in 2 boxes where always clothing with english names, and in the 3rd on ( the one outside ) had always unreadable names ( most likely russian ) - now however, without changing those mods for almost two years now, the box outside has english names too. Something wired is going on ...

I uninstalled all kozzz clothing now, but still have problems with other clothing.

 

Edit: I uninstalled all armor/clothing mods and started a new game. So far no problem. When this work for some hours of gameplay II will  reactivate on after another . This will take some time

lol  I'm still digging around in it.  Trying to break it.  English version only.  Deleted the russian esp.  I've expanded the PC evaluation and changed the method of detecting PC clothing changes.  In short, it was half assed before and now it isn't.  I've added more debug as well.  Should tell you more about what's going on with PC clothing.

T, Is it possible to manually/force an NPC to be a Pimp? My reasoning being of a role play/immersion choice as I'm a licensed prostitute working the floor of The Wrangler.

I'd like to have James Garret be such as it doesn't make sense to me that I could work their establishment and they get nothing out of it so up until now I've just been putting half of what I earn in any currency straight into James' inventory but would prefer much more if he would actually ask me for what's owing.

 

I can see the Pimp variables in the book but asking you first just in case there might be problems from doing so(?) / it's "not a good idea unless it's done naturally via the Stalker route"  etc.

While each of them paid me separately it did come to mind if instead Caleb paid for 2 Prostitutes(?) if that makes sense.

Though in this situation Caleb took my back door while my mouth worked Santiago's schlong.

Maybe Caleb wanted to see me get mouth fucked at the same time hence hiring Santiago as well.

I don't think that's your fault I may have (using bat profiles) changed that without realizing it. Is there a way I can set him back to Prostitute?

T, Is it possible to manually/force an NPC to be a Pimp? My reasoning being of a role play/immersion choice as I'm a licensed prostitute working the floor of The Wrangler.

Pimps aren't determined at all by the system, only by player choice through game play (manual only).  Agreeing to the 'Protection' dialog currently does this, in case you want to test what's there so far:

That will make them the PC pimp.  I think the only way those settings get removed are by agreeing to another pimp.

The difference in the audience was not the batch files.  It was the NPC promiscuity level.  Set them to at least one, and I bet they instantly become more interested in your performance.

If the background music issue can't be worked around on your end I'll have to silence the offending music files manually in Audacity.

It's the only thing that remains to annoy me while I work and perform here but other than that SOI has made it enjoyable to be here.

I'm pretty sure I've found the source of the music (two speakers behind stage pipe out an NV radio station).  I just haven't gotten to the location to test solutions yet.  It's coming.

 

Also on pimps.  While you're at managed establishments like Wrangler and Gomorrah, you should never have to chase after your payment (due to enforcement being present).  This is already the default without a pimp at those locations (which is one of the benefits of a pimp).  There are also bonuses to negotiations there (another).

I pulled out a Switchblade from my sexy boots and equipped it and asked again, straight away they go [Here] and pay, I smirked at that, don't know if that's thanks to you. Worked a few times.

Now that I've made James (their Boss) my Pimp I wonder if they'll change their ways now.

No need as this happened upstairs in the staff quarters (*I edited the faction to allow the PC up their without being shot at).

Gamblers in that downstairs room with a separate cell pay up fine (but the other 3 rooms to the left don't).

 

*This also resolved that pesky space on the stairs/near toilets/downstairs hallway/upstairs lounge area that makes them think you're behind the bar.

The "Get out if you know what's good for you." nonsense.

For an unknown reason I loaded my game and upon exiting my Fort player room James Garret was outside in the courtyard?

I've kept the saves before, during and after the activity so maybe the extra debug will catch it then.

lol Well I kind of have everything in pieces right now.  Working on NPC interactions overhaul.  I'll try and get it posted here soon.

 

My question would be, where was he when you got the return clear debug.  Return clears for 1 of three reasons.  A. The PC is no longer in the vicinity.  B. The NPC has reached the return location (the place that some kind of follow was started).  C. Some 'follow the PC' action was completed and ended.

 

You could  run a RemoveScriptPackage on him after the return clear in debug.  If that keeps him from coming to the Fort then that's likely the fix.  If not, it could be other things.

 

I've had this happen with MeanSOB after telling him he should 'wash up' through spunk in Westside.  He would later show up and initiate greeting dialog at places like Sloan.  But it wasn't a dialog package from this mod.  Probably unrelated.

 

I know for a fact that both of the Garrets are difficult to work with package wise.  Which is why I opted to reserve them from adds and deal with them later.

Pre-War Casualwear (P2)

or

Jenny's Slave Rags

Especially clothing only in a certain pregnancy state is IMHO a bit to limited. Is it possible to exclude such special cases? Or maybe better ignore the pregnancy state of the clothing?

 

Is it possible to save apparel settings and names of renamed generic NPCs somehow, so you don't have to redo this all when you start a new game?

I just added all the clothes I could find into the clothing list.  I've been slowly going through them from time to time and sorting them.  I left the pregnant outfits in to temporarily mimic a pregnancy fetish.  I'll probably pull more of them out soon, but anything the PC puts on will be added back to the list.  So if the PC wears pregnant clothes, there will be pregnant clothing in the list.

 

I might be able to add an 'exclude from favorites' setting for apparel at some point.  It is possible to save apparel settings, but it would require you mod those clothing items into the appropriate lists.

 

Because the apparel system is based on player choice, there is no way for me to know what clothing you consider x,y,z.  Also when it's a fresh game, there's no place for me to save any persistent information from a previous save.  I could start hard coding them in, but that would remove player choice.

 

As far as NPC names, I don't have the foggiest idea of how one would go about that.  Again, by starting a new game you've taken away the only place for the mod to save persistent information.

 

EDIT:  Try the new one.  Experimental adjustments to apparel favorites.  The clothing list in this copy is no longer hard coded with clothing.  The list is now self populating from both what the PC and NPCs wear.

 

This might actually work better because the list will now only be populated by clothing that matches the currently installed bodies.  The only problem I see is that the first few NPCs added to the system won't acquire any clothing favorites until there are at least 10 items in the list.

 

You can clear the following settings in order to have them acquire new favorite clothing:

 

 

 

NX_ClrEVFl "SOI:Reg:Favorites" 2
NX_ClrEVFo "SOI:Fav:Clothing" 2

Never had this happen and not sure why but the rumor function hasn't worked for me at all regardless of factors such as being covered in spunk or indulging in the open.

For the past few days of playing hours straight :fnSOIRumrMill:Rumors: has been lingering in the console so appears something may be wrong(?) hence the report.

Note: Tested forcing rumors and that works fine (NX_SetEVFl "SOI:Bhv:Rumor" 1) and after that only then have I got NPCs to actually :DoRumor: to the PC.
