Sexout Intimacy

Ok, here is debug.txt.  I went back in time, fast travelled to Mojave Outpost.  Date happened almost identical to last time, we started with sex (her choice) and ended with exact same result as before.  I was lucky, usually when I retry something I can't get them to agree to a date the second time. Hope there is a clue here.

I think I've tracked it down.  Try this one and send me the debug if it goes wrong.  If it goes okay it should be fixed.

EDIT: The last one might not do it.  Made some corrections and re-upped.

EDITx2: Uploaded to downloads because of several unrelated corrections.

I think that worked.  Had to do an activity before she agreed to a date, then went to Lucky 38. Didn't go the same, but we wound up having sex and she talked to the Courier afterwards, no problems.  When visit wound down she said [NightCap?], I suggested dancing but she said maybe later and then walked to the elevator and left.  I assume that meant date over.  I'll attach the debug just in case there is anything useful in there, but I'd call it a successful date.

Roger that.  Night Cap is actually the date ending, or rather the end and then asking to continue.  I wonder what dialog you got for afterglow?  Also, I appreciate the effort on your part ty.

New one up with a slew of adjustments as well as a couple of mistake corrections.  I've added an auto setting to the cycle speed.  When set, NPCs will cycle faster and slower automatically based on the number that the scanner has to process.  So when you're alone with an NPC for example, you'll get full cycle speed automatically.

She offered me a gift.  Irradiated Whiskey and one bottlecap.  I didn't say [insult] (since only NPC's can do that).   Don't care about the caps, but man, I don't need to drink anymore rads :P

Happy to help.

If you had re-created the first debug log, she should have said [Now what?] to continue starting the date.  But I guess the PC had sex after the date had already begun this time.  Sex doesn't count as a date activity (more of a bonus).

How long should it take for an NPC to return to their home location after a date?  When I left the Lucky 38 the next morning after my date she was in the casino just leaving the outer door.  Haven't seen her since.  I went to Lake Mead to raise a bomber then visited Mojave Outpost,  my lover hadn't gotten home.  Went back to 38, picked up Cass and EDE and shot out all the Cazador's north of Goodsprings in case she was walking home that direction, then went back to Mojave Outpost,  still not there.  Haven't seen any kind of error messages in the console, didn't find a body in Freeside or along the trail on likely routes home from Vegas.  I'm not sure whether a date will teleport home or if they actually walk home, if she's walking then I suppose it could take quite a while.  Being a Courier I jog everywhere so the trip wouldn't take that long.

Should I be worried or is it just a matter of waiting longer?

Weird.  I'll add more debug to the homing function.  She should have been moved directly to the place where you launched the 'invite', as soon as she left the cell you were in on date end.  There shouldn't be any travel.

EDIT:  Okay I've added some debug to the homing function.  I've also made some adjustments to the scripts to prevent possible hiccups.  I wonder if your PC still has a homing token in their inventory?  If so, it means she wasn't far enough away to move yet.  This has been adjusted.

Also there's a slight chance she was moved to the buried cell.  This has also been adjusted.  Try the new one.  If anything the debug should tell us something.

Strange.  Here's the debug.  I went back to a save I made at the Mojave Outpost when we had agreed to a date but hadn't reached date time yet.  We teleported to the Lucky 38, had a little date, she said [Date Complete] and walked to the elevator and disappeared.  I went downstairts to the "Casino Floor" and she was there, walking out of the building.  Waited a little bit and walked outside.  Fannie Mae was not there, so she teleported somewhere.  Ran out of the city and fast travelled to Nipton Road rest stop and ran up the hill to Mojave Outpost.  She was not in the bar, or in the other buliding where Jackson is, also not on the roof or anywhere else I could think of to check.  Didn't see any trace of her in the debug after she walked out the doors of the Lucky 38.

Not exactly sure what happened.  There was no debug at all.  In any case I've gone through and tried to patch things up where I thought they might need it.  There should be debug now.

My best guess is that she ended up wherever you set your exterior home marker?  If you didn't set one she probably got tossed into the ether.  I don't think she picked up a home setting along the way, hence no debug.  Try the new one it might fix it.

About the same kind of date.  Did notice after the date ended and she entered the elevator there was a screen message about checking for dates which seems to correspond  with a debug line about datemove and invalid reference.  When I went downstairs she was in the lobby again and walked out.  Once I got outside I checked and there is an external home marker set, it should be right outside the Lucky 38.  Got one more message about checking for dates which again seems to correspond to a datemove debug line.  Fast travelled again and checked out Mojave Outpost bar, she wasn't there.

Attaching the debug.

Still can't figure it out.  Added more debug.  I think there might be something wrong with the NPC.  The only debug I've seen in selfeval for that NPC are calm/nervous/alone.  Which means she most likely has settings missing.  Did you set her up manually?

You might try resetting her via the manager dialog, but I suspect several settings are completely null.  This could happen possibly if you manually set her cycles before she passed through prep.  Just guessing.  Still looking into it.  Will make some dates and test tomorrow.

EDIT: Found a critical mistake.  If you were absent too long from an NPC the absent function would clear the NPCs gender bahvior.  Might or might not be related.  Fix posted.

Here's the after action report.  We went to Lucky 38, there is a constant Checking for Dates message spam.  We had a drink, she turned down my [Nightcap?] suggestion of a dance.  Started to walk away, then she ran back to me and said [Date Now?].  I said yes, and when our second date started the "checking for dates" messages stopped, it's almost like there were 2 dates stacked on top of each other.  At the end of the date the usual happened, she went downstairs and walked out, did not reappear at Mojave Outpost.

I added the female caravaneer from Mojave Outpost bar by [introducing Myself] but I've never tried to set a character up manually, figured I would screw something up.  I chose her because she is one of the only people at Mojave who seem stable, her face never changes, her gender never swaps, if you re-name her it sticks till the end of the game, but:  her clothing does change if you are away for a while - so maybe she isn't completely stable.

I will try doing the date just at Mojave, not try to travel and if that works I'll try to find a more stable partner (it could take a while, this is the first time I've had a date in this playthrough it's kind of rare).  Except I once had a date scheduled with Cass, but CTD going through the gate into Freeside so it never happened.  When I reloaded she wouldn't agree to a date.  Don't know if that could corrupt an NX Co-save somehow but thought it might be relevant.

Attached debug, hope there is something helpful there.

Found the problem.  Working on it.  Will post up here after a couple more tests.

EDIT: Try the new one.  Fixed a lot of broken stuff getting to the heart of this one.  Eventually I still want to put in a goodnight dialog.

Something to note is that the invite does get moved directly to home, and shouldn't walk out of the door.  This is intentional for a couple of reasons.

First I use a custom home mod which has no pathing from the interior to the outside world.  Therefore, if you place a travel package on the NPC, they just stand there.

Secondly, my custom player home has a security system that only allows teammates to pass.  Even if I did fix the pathing, the second the NPC walks out of my player home interior door, they will be blown to bits because they are not a teammate.

Ideally they should: 1. Say goodnight, 2. walk out of the door and, 3. travel home, imo.  Thoughts on this are welcome.

EDITx2:  Re-upped with a slight correction.

Sadly, seems to be the same result.  I'm wondering if it might have something to do with the Lucky 38 itself?  She has to go through a loading screen at the elevator, then appears downstairs and walks to the actual exit to the cell and disappears.  Earlier I tried inviting her to Novac Motel with same results but I'm going to try again with the most recent version.  This time I jogged all the way to Mojave Outpost instead of fast travel (just in case it might help, didn't).  Did notice that when I arrived in the Bar it picks up the homing marker, just no Fannie Mae present.  Debug attached.

at the moment I have only 2 minor topics

- I can strip as often as i want in the wrangler, but no NPC there ever get the opinion that my char is a stripper.

- I asked a NPC for an activity ( drink) and the NPC accepted. Now came the option provide or ask for drink. I offered a drink and the NPC answered "Maybe" . result activity did not happened. IMHO - if the NPC in general already agreed to the activity, it should not fail here. If the NPC prefers to offers a drink he should just suggests this instead. But as it is now, you have to pass the activity check twice.

The date scan says there is still a date in the list.  Further that ref is null, which means it has been removed from the game.  Did you make any dates when you had SOIR installed?  Also, the debug does not go on long enough for me to tell anything.  After the date is complete, she needs to finish processing the visit as well (one cycle pass beyond where the debug ended).

You can test dates easily by setting any included NPC to:

nx_setevfl "SOI:Dat:Player" 1

Do that just before or after dark and they should come to the PC for the date if the PC is standing right there.  I would try to test it on another NPC.

EDIT:  Also when you invite her home.  Where do you end up?  In the lobby or up in the room?

They probably do get it.  Stripper = Easy/SexIcon.  It's just a special dialog that combines two opinions.

I'm pretty sure the drink issue is because the NPC has lost their gender behavior settings due to a mistake in the absent script.

Check this and see if it's blank.  If so, that's the problem.  Instructions on resetting it to avoid starting fresh are a few posts above.

I started a new game after removing SOIR because my character was made using one of the custom races from that mod.   The only other date I remember was Cass and that crashed before the date started.  Is it possible that offering to [pick her up later] and then when she approaches me [invite Home] is confusing things somehow?  I tried a couple of variations, asked her to motel, same result, even went back to before I asked her for a date and set internal and external home markers to a home in Goodsprings, got another double date, but when she left the home she disappeared.

When we arrive in the Lucky 38 we arrive upstairs in the master bedroom which is where I had set the home marker.

Cycling seems to stop as soon as she leaves the building, I only get more console messages when I am near another active NPC, but there is nothing more about the date until I arrive at Mojave Outpost and that's just removing home marker.

I'm thinking of starting a new game, if there is somehow a broken date in the NX co-save that can't be resolved I'm afraid it might affect any other character I try to date.

The date list could have gotten busted I guess when the game crashed and the date didn't happen with Cass.  But that shouldn't affect the other NPC.  If she was visiting she should not have left when the date was finished, but should have reverted to temporary sandbox mode.  I'll add some more debug to the visit spell (the thing that is supposed to keep them from leaving too soon).

You could check her for getcurrentaipackage and see what it returns before she gets out the door.  If it isn't 36 she might need special attention.  Which is why I suggested trying another NPC.

EDIT: Debug added.  The visit spell should report now when it takes control of her packaging, or the lack thereof.

I tried an experiment before starting a new game, consoled in a date with Cass.  We met in Lucky 38 where she lives and I invited her to Hotel (Wrangler).  After date she walked out and a short time later I got a pop-up that [Cass has left Hotel].  I then went to the Lucky 38 and she was there, but she immediately whistled, walked over and said [Date Now?].  I said follow and she said no.  I think you must be right that there is somehow a broken date in there somehow.

I'll try the new version to see if I can get some good debug.  I've moved back and forth in time so much that I'm starting to lose track of what happened in deleted sections of the game and what might be in the ongoing save (my memory is not as adept as it used to be).  Trying a date in a new clean game might be helpful now that I know how to guarantee a date.

Ok, here's the debug from the latest version.  This time I did [Date Here] at Mojave Bar.  We danced (note Christie Danced, Fannie Mae just waited until the music finished, normally both parties animate when I dance, not sure if that's a clue to a problem with her AI package).  We Nightcapped to the Lucky 38.  I didn't remember to get her ai package until late in the date, it was 3.  When you start seeing Cass in the log is right after [Date Complete] and she walked to the elevator.  I ran out of Vegas and then fast-travelled to Mojave Outpost. Poor Fannie Mae is missing in action.

I'm going to start a new game to try and get a cleaner testing situation.  I'll keep the old game saves in case it's needed for testing.

3 is eat.  I need to know what ai package she's running as she leaves.  The new one should fix Cass altogether so I wouldn't start the mod fresh unless you really want to.  I'm looking over the outpost NPC now.

Danke for muscling through it all.

That sounds like an excellent idea.  Drinks for all.  I'll be out of town most of the day tomorrow so I wont have access to my PC until evening.  I'll try the new version on Cass before I retire Christie and in the next playthrough I'll probably avoid the Mojave Outpost just to be safe.

I know what the problem is.  Fixing it now.  You could probably try keying her with SmallerTalk or hotkey before she hits the door to keep her there until the visit runs to get around it.  Setrestrained 1 would do it too, thought you might need to undo it after she hits the guest eval.

She only has one package, which is travel back to where she spawns.  On date end she runs it and splits.  I'm working on a way to get that visit spell on her before she hits the door now.

Also I don't know if you knew this, but she's also a prostitute/junkie (vanilla).  Might make things weird later when I add prostitute approaches (part of which is already built).

Just finished a date with Cass.  She's fixed, went home and didn't try to double date.  It felt like cheating to start a date by console, but she did agree to one earlier even though it never happened, besides it was "for Science".

I didn't know that "Fannie Mae" was a prostitute, did know that she liked to do booze and chems with the courier.  Kind of sad when the NPC who likes you the most is a prostitute, but since Christie is a stripper they might make a good couple.  Not sure if I can catch her before she hits the door, once that [Date Complete] hits she's off like a Jackrabbit.  I would miss that crooked yellow smile.

It's actually been kind of fun, my Courier has gotten more dates in the last few days than she has in the last 6 months
