NEWB QUESTION: CBBE or UNP - which one to choose?

I think you have to choose the body of your female characters depending on what you like about the mods available.

 

If you want to taste lovers's lab mod, as devious device, maybe you should take CBBE because mods like Captured Dream's s Shop are only available for CBBE body.

 

Devious devices are available for UNP and 7B too though...

I am actually on the fence. I been using CBBE for the past few years because I like having a curvy body, but lately all the armor mods I like are being done for sevenbase. So I am on the verge of changing, that said, what are the major differences between CBBE and Sevenbase?

This will come from an animating perspective so take it with a grain of salt.  I had a similar discussion going over in my own thread and both sides defend their choice of body style pretty well.  That said:

 

 

I have found that the UNP body tends to deform better than the CBBE one.  For a while I was driving myself crazy trying to animate for both bodies ( create the animation so it looked ok with both ) but ultimately gave up on it and went with UNP. 

 

For the record, it seems CBBE has a huge user-base and a whole lot of mods to support it.  UNP just seems to deform better ( especially when pushing the limits of what the meshes will handle ) in my experiences. 

 

In the end, it's really up to what you like to see.  Can always switch out if you don't like the one you pick the first time around

Of course, but some mods, as Captured Dreams Shop, add some items which is not actually converted, or I haven't see the conversion. :/

This is the very reason why I've stuck with CBBE after all of this time.  However, I would give UNP more of a chance if it had better BodySlide support.

As far as the technical stuff goes 'bodyslide', available armor resources etc etc, it looks like people have given you your answer.

 

Ultimately the final choice should come down to your preference. I prefer UNPB at 0.6 weight (right now atleast, in the past weight 1 unpb). /shrug

I'll pass thanks, I prefer to use legitimate assets actually made by the people uploading and sharing them, not terribly keen on someone converting assets for a "shitty" and "subpar" game... if it's so apparently horrible and crappy, one wonders why she continues to "borrow" and upload other's content for it and call it her own.

I don't know or care about all that. All I know is that it's certainly a higher quality and better functioning body than anything else out there. I am not privy to any drama surrounding it.

I've used 7b, UNP, UNPB and CBBE in game.

 

CBBE is great for customising but you just can't get that wonderful ass that UNP has.

 

UNPB is awesome but the boobs are a bit low. Outfit Studio is an awesome tool. Take the UNPB mesh, change the shape of the boobs to what you want and save. Use Gerra's Clothing Converter and you have perfection (from my point of view ) So many people don't know about the converter, it's so easy to sculpt your own body in OS and convert armour to it while retaining the higher poly count of UNP.

 

As others have said, Lady Body 3.0 is VERY nice and smooth (like freakin smooth), but breaks away from the normal cbbe / unp body types. Also don't like the boobs

i go cbbe because there seems to be more stuff for it and if there isn't i can normally find a conversion for it.  but really this whole argument (at least on the outfit side) died with the release of outfit studio.
