Glad to see you're back sky_mds!

 

 

 

 

A few pages back, someone mentioned setting the actorbase for the cloned NPCs so they are affected by NPC overhaul mods.

 

For example: Setting NA_02_Aela to ActorBase "AelaTheHuntress" and checking "Use Traits".

 

Ever since I've read that post, I've been TRYING, to create a universal patch for v01m that updates the appearances, no matter which overhaul you use. That method does not work, it was actually the first one I tested. I've YET to find a method that DOES work, but I haven't even looked into scripts yet. Still learning to mod. >_>;

Its extremely easy

made myself a patch that changes Aela, Njada, Ria, Thaena and Jala

 

Made Aela, Njada and Ria look like they are in Skyrim Beautiful Followers 2.1 mod

Thaena is modified twin sister of Jordis the Sword-Maiden (Houscarl in Solitude) now

Jala is modified twin sister of Iona (Housecarl in Riften) now.

 

Edit:

Thing you likely missed is if you make a plugin that is based on other .esp then creation kit is "intelligent" enough to automatically remove it form mod master list.

So check your plugin master list if it isn't missing overhaul mod and Animal Mansion itself - your plugin wont work without those as masters.

If it does you need to manually add them - in Wrye Bash.

After that, last thing to do is to export facegen files in case you got grey faces - which is likely if you changed skin tone for example.

Are there any conflicting Mods? I have all required Mods installed, but i can't talk with the Animals to start a sex-animation. The only Mod which changed something on the ability of speaking is DD Restrained (with this Mod you can "talk" to npc if you are gagged).

Great mod but, when going to the party room, mens night, i talk to a man and he says he want to have sex with me that works ok then he say about me having sex with a troll the troll appears but does not do anything, Ive got all the necessary mods installed and working correctly, but the troll just stands there.

Thanks for the help Aqqh. You got my personal appearance patch working. I like the changes you made to Thaena and Jala.

Now on to creating a girl to hire to help with shows. I'm thinking Huki Seven-Swords.

Any plans to maybe have Teala (I forget her name), remember your preferences? As in, refuse to do spiders/chaurii, and she will shut up about it.

edit: hmmm that just gave me a thought. Not only does this system cater to the most people, but you could also have other workers there comment on having done sessions with creature so and so and client so and so, and give the place more life.

Thanks got the troll issue sorted now, but when i get asked to do a private show or attend the wolf competition i dont get any animation from the animals, ive got the allow creature animation checked but all that i can do is talk to the wolf after taking my place in the line up for the competition, after saying come here boy ( i think thats what it said) nothing happens the watchers stand and clap but theres no animation from the wolf.

I mean if sky_mds use the "Template Trick" in CK on all duplicate NPCs, it could solve the problem.

 

Moreover: there is no need to export facegen files thanks to this technique.

Yes! That was my whole point in bringing this up! It's a trivial edit for the mod author should he feel inclined to do it. Not everyone is comfortable getting in the CK and playing with this stuff - and I can imagine their distress at seeing their beautiful Aela (for example) morphed back to vanilla - for those users the fix at the mod author level would be quite a boon. If he feels like doing it.

Started to try your mod, done 2 quests so far => Worked flawlessly

 

My only concerns so far are: That is normal that Mansion's customers and animals have no dialogs while a quest is running? and Haven't found a way to find a client inside the mansion ^^

Can anyone give any help please, ive started the quest to buy the horse from whiterun ,for the mansion, which ive purchased, but i cant figure out what i do with the horse back at the mansion,.

 

You're not suposed to buy the horse at Whiterun, there should be an extra line of text at the horse salesman wich advances the quest to Katla's Farm

You don't have to buy any horses! The quest will end up with you obtaining a horse for free!

 

Pay attention to dialogue options when you are at a stable. There is a line of dialogue that ends up with you buying a horse. That's not Animal Mansion's dialogue! So stop following that line of dialogue and choose the other one!

 

You should load an earlier save and try again from the start: go to Whiterun and choose the correct dialogue option. After that you will be sent to Katla's Farm as ImmortalOne told you. The quest will then tell you to go to your third destination.

 

Your next post should be to tell us where Destination #3 is. :P

Stephanie when in doubt just look at the quest marker on the compass or look in your quest log then you should be able to play through the quests without problems.
