itt1968 Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 It's an RPG, What better place to actually escape from our hectic Real World... for me its Skyrim, the booze, the adventure, the sword play, the magic, the babes and nowadays... sex mods!!! not into the rape and slavery aspect of them but it does add a realism factor that was missing for a long time... Its kinda kewl to go to the Blue Palace and see and hear the Queen of Skyrim taking it like a champ in her room!!! lmao! but after beating the game 10, 12 times, I'm starting to get into the photos and beautifying my character and still beat up the bad guys every now and then.

I'm always making new characters and playing through the questlines and clearing caves and dungeons etc. I play with a pretty heavy role-play mindset and have a bunch of realism mods installed. I don't use fast travel or even horses for that matter. The adventures to be had just ambling about in the wild whilst travelling from city to city is something you can't really find in other games. If I'm in Windhelm and my next job leads me to Solitude then I'll make a gameplay session out of it and walk to Solitude. The adult mods are just the icing on the cake for me. They're great and all but they certainly don't make up the bulk of my play time. I'm not really one for skimpy 'armours'. I want my game to be immersive and lore-friendly and when I play the game proper I like it to be a believable world. That said though there are a few exceptions I'll make. Stuff like a few pieces of LDW's clothes I will often use and dress up some of my female characters when I play them or followers when they're in town or whatever. Skyrim is one of the best open world RPG games ever made and the amount of freedom you have is unparalleled. I can quite easily still see myself playing this game in 2-3 years time and still enjoying every minute of it. I've played since Dec 2011 and I'm sure not bored of it yet.

I have this game for a few years now but I hardly ever get out of riverwood xD That said after all dis time I do have a solid backgroundstory for when I do eventually get out of riverwood xD

JohnNewton Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I play it because the base game is fun, and I add adult mods (mostly minor stuff like nudity) because I seem to have some sort of "world/integration fetish". The nudity or sex or whatever is way hawter if it actually fits into the game world and makes sense. I occasionally create entirely sex-focused roleplaying characters when I find an interesting mod, but I usually get tired of them pretty fast.

chuckdm Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 Believe it or not, but Elder Scrolls Games have been my gateway drug for learning a bunch of things (Learning basic programming skills from scripting, learning some 3-D modelling, learning some texture skills). I originally played Morrowind (I still think it's the greatest TES game ever) for the game, then when modding picked up I got moved into that. I skipped out on Oblivion, (college happened). Now with skyrim I find myself slowly coming back to modding. I still have yet to finish the game (so don't spoil it for me). Simply put, I look forward to TES games for the modding and modding communities. It being a game is a bonus for me. Same. Well not exactly the same. I started modding games with rules.ini mods for Red Alert 1. I've been modding every single player game I've ever played ever since. But I know what you mean. rules.ini lead me to XML configs, which lead to learning HTML, then PHP, and basically half my programming skills to date. I even gave Bryce 5 a shot before I decided graphics simply weren't my area of expertise, because I was trying to edit the RA2 Tesla Tank model. I never did get into Oblivion. I tried playing a friend's copy and couldn't stand how horribly blocky the faces were, didn't even finish chargen. Then, about a month before Skyrim launched, I found a site with several Oblivion mods and thought they were pretty amazing. That's WHY I bought Skyrim. Never been a big fan of medieval fantasy (more of a scifi person) but if someone could turn the horrendous mess that was Oblivion into those screenshots, it made sense the same would happen with Skyrim. Now here I am. Aside from that, back to OP's question, I suppose the third option. To me, it just makes sense. I understand why they can't ship a game with it and all, but dude, it's the middle ages (an alternate universe, but still). There's plenty of innuendo to go around even in stock Skyrim. If people are sleeping around to get what they want, why should the PC have the same ability? Just makes sense, really. And that is almost exclusively what I use the mods for. My armor is Sleek Steel UNPB because it's both sexy and still not lore-breaking And hell, if it's really supposed to be armor, it makes sense. Why would you want a chainmail robe? Having the armor a bit more form fitting is just plain logical - keeps shit outta the way, if you get my drift Same goes for the prostitution mod. I'm playing a bi PC with a wife and 6 daughters, all adopted. Doesn't make sense to totally neglect the lady parts, and if they're worth 200 gold, fuck, why not? As long as he understands imma gonna slit his throat if he don't understand no, we're all good. So both, I suppose. If nothing else, if I'm gonna be staring at my character's ass for 100+ hours of gameplay anyway, why WOULDN'T I want it to be a really nice ass?

I remember somone making a posting asking if it could be posible to make a mod with close to 70-100 animation and make a few for creatures too, and we all (myself included) jumped in and politely asked him to stop taking drugs !!! Halusinations are bad for you. An now we have SexLab with creature support. So I'm just waiting for someone to make a post " Hey can we make Skyrim Multiplayer?" Then I will jump in and politely ask him to stop taking drugs. Halusinations are bad for you. But just in case I wanna have 2-3 characters ready :-) PVP is gonna be a bitch.

Mebrilia Posted January 27, 2014 Posted January 27, 2014 I play mostly for immersion and roleplay a character.... while i am one of the lore friendly puritans i loved some sex mods here in loverslab...expecially if the sex comes with reason in a roleplay context ((seduce your victim have sex with him and then bite him on the neck sucking his or her blood is a nice example of an awesome combination of roleplay immersion and adult theme mods..)) I also enjoy the story people post here...Is refreshing to see how people bring to life erotic story wish so much creativity i really enjoy it... Also if i am a lore friendly puritan i also enjoy and i am pleased by the wide spread of tastes this community have.. My only regret is having nice idea in mind but being not able to work on them because unfortunately i am too much busy right now to learn to how mod..

Purely sexual about half the time, purely for sword-and-sorcery about quarter of the time, and the other quarter I just mix 'em up. "Immersion reasoning" isn't high on my list, but it's certainly not completely absent either. Ie, "if something happens to break immersion for one reason or another, or to contradict Elder Scrolls Lore completely, I really just don't give much of a fuck. And yet, even so, consistency and believability are cool to have, and each can add another layer of enjoyment when I care to have them."

But seriously...yeah that's about right I'm a middle aged man with 4 kids and happily married for 20 years next month. So this is my escape from 4 arguing teenagers, and wife's chick flicks and tv shows that I can't stand! I don't drink and don't "go-out" so my wife has no problem with it, even showed her some of my mods. She's cool with it since she knows it's a game and I would never cheat on her even if offered the chance.

xboronx Posted January 28, 2014 Posted January 28, 2014 I always liked the genre of rpgs, both action rpgs and classic rpgs. The elder scrolls i started to really like with Skyrim, i bought Morrowwind and Oblivion too but when i had bought Morrowwind i was such a big fan of Gothic 1 and 2 and liked Morrowwind not as much. Oblivion i bought only as bargain game, but never played it much. With all those mods this feels like a miss, but only Fallout NV i also played a lot, bought it after i liked Skyrim so much. Can't go back to Oblivion, though i am no graphic fetishist i would compare it too much with Skyrim graphics. I like everything about Skyrim and NV, they have a pretty dark world, are already quite good in vanilla and with the huge amounts of mods almost feel like your custom made game. I keep trying out new mods constantly and restart sometimes daily, but at least every 10 days. My modlist gets better and better and Skyrim even more fun. I'm most enjoying to start hopeless and slowly trying to become a hero. An interesting sidepart is always observating if i become a good or bad hero, this usually shapes up during play. If i'm extremely unlucky i'm usually more inclined to go the bad route and become a corrupted hero. In most playthroughs i don't seek sex actively, this way it is extremely nice for immersion because it turns losing into tragedies from which you have to rise like the phönix from the ashes and makes the corruption part so interesting. In my modlist about 1/2 are cloth mods, player houses,companions and other stuff to beautify Skyrim, 1/4 sexlab mods, 1/4 immersion/enemy enchancement mods like frostfall, populated lands, dangerous dragons etc.... This way Skyrim is transformed into a bittersweet dark anarchy world, like Fallout NV is already somewhat in vanilla. Without the mods Skyrim wouldn't be as good and not much better than e.g. Risen 1/2 and worse than masterpieces like GTA 5, but with the mods it's simply awesome. So i think the most honest answer is i play Skyrim for the mods because this way i can personalize the game for my own tastes.

One was a warrior who had the baeuty of a maiden but the strength of a giant, and others just adventured. I also have a bad habit of get this, Hoarding houses. I have an unhealthy number of house mods installed. [curse the 255 mod limit] if it wasnt for that i'd have ATLEAST 400 mods running at once

I didn't even know what normal map was a year ago, but now I'm getting pretty decent at creating them. Same with bone rigging and all that 3D stuff. It's a great sandbox. Skyrim itself? My farthest progression is about 2 hours into the main questline. I stopped and focused on modding. I won't get back into Skyrim itself until I get a computer upgrade.

Plus I spent bloody forever trying to figure out Wrye Bash so it's a bit of a waste if I don't play.
