Huh, I forgot about those, since I've only played Daybreak 1. They should be useable, but they will need to be decompressed and probably downgraded to version 1 MDL since they use mesh delete. Download the mod, and my toolset, then run this command for any mod you want to convert:

python kuro_mdl_export_meshes.py name_of_mod.mdl
python kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py -f 1 -c name_of_mod.mdl

Make sure to decompress the textures using cle_decrypt_decompress.py and put them in /asset/dx11/image

Here is a cheat table for Kai no Kiseki that lets you override purchases - buy anything you want for the price of a tear balm!

Kai Purchase Override Chinese for v1.02.zip

Instructions on how to use are over at the Kuro no Kiseki thread. As you can see above, I purchased meatball pasta from the shopkeeper, and got Elaine's swimsuit instead.

NOTE: Turn off the cheat after purchasing. The game engine uses the same instruction to buy items and unequip items! (Actually you can use this cheat to get items by unequipping if you are not near a store but of course you will lose what you unequip.)

Special thanks to the creators of KuroTools, which I used to get all the item IDs.

I updated the party change cheat engine script for Kai, and shared it over on discord. I didn't think anyone here would care since it's mostly used for modding... But here it is.

This script is used with Cheat Engine (CE). Instructions on how to install CE and load the table here.

Note: I did not write this script - I just took the original Kuro no Kiseki script and changed the memory addresses for Kai. (It still took me more than one day to do....)

Search for "kai no kiseki english mtl steam community" and I think you will find what you are looking for. I have not tried this, I have no interest in doing so, please do not ask me for help on how to use what you find.

I have made underwear mods for Kuro no Kiseki 2, but it doesn't contain new costumes from Kai. If you want to port the new costumes to use in Kuro 2, theoretically you can download the Kuro MDL Tool, and then put the mdl/dds files from the mod into the Kuro MDL Tool folder and run 'cle_compress.py' to encrypt the files. After that, install those encrypted mdl/dds files into Kuro 2 as usual. For the new costumes' physics to work, you might also need to own a copy of Kai and take the chrxxxx_cxx.mi files from asset/common/model_info. Those mi files also need to be encrypted.

This will only work if you are talking about porting my mod into Kuro 2, but if you want to port the original Kai mdl/dds files, before you enctypt the files, you need to run 'kuro_mdl_export_meshes.py' > go into extracted folder, open 'mdl_version.json' and change the number from 4 to 1 > run 'kuro_mdl_import_meshes.py' to repack it > run 'cle_compress.py' to encrypt the files.

Again, it's only theoretically work as I didn't try it.

But if you're talking about getting them to work in Daybreak 2, which comes out next month, the Kai mod should be able to directly work in Daybreak 2 since I don't think NISA will encrypt their game files.

As some other memeber said on the steam community tab there is a link for a Machine Translation on google drive.

I have tried it and its complete around 95% but they haven't translated any of the dialogue they have on the field, the quest markers, the quest objetives, etc So it can sometimes be hard to know where to go next if you skip the dialogue.

Technically speaking is enough for you to finish the game but you will loose some details.

If you have time, I would like to ask question.

I tried free camera CT for Kai as well as Kuro1 and Kuro2.

When I enabled free camera CT with the option "Force pose Action" OFF in Kuro1 and Kuro2, the command battle proceeded.
In Kai no kiseki, the command battle does not proceed even I checked off the option.
It seems all characters are locked to move when free camera is on.
How can I proceed command battle with free camera CT?

Right now, I am focusing on porting my Kuro 2 underwear mod to playable characters into Kai. Celis, Feri, and Jolda are next on my list. Then, I will work on the new playerable characters (Altina, etc.).
