[SOLVED] SOS, HIMBO or TNG?

Migrating to a new machine. I've used SOS for years, know how it works and I am comfortable with it. But I also realize it's outdated, even SOS Uncloaked. Although it works just fine and I couls still use it, I feel it's time to not be like Germany or Japan and be stuck with fax machines in the era of electronic communication.

I am mostly interested in proper schlong collisions with 3BA body and @Predator-RJ's High Poly SMP Head and lips. For obvious reasons. It works fine with SOS and I know how to set it up properly, but I know next to nothing about the other two.

 

As I don't play males I don't really care about the male body customization, they're there only to slap my Dragonborn in the butt while providing misogynistic comments and surprise meat injections. Preferably with uncircumcised models, as I am not a fan of male mutilation.

 

Which one has the least annoying setup and "just works (tm)"?

After a quick look at both HIMBO and TNG , I suggest TNG (I'm almost tempted to try it too 😁) , HIMBO, requires TNG and SOS as an additional mods

No Himbo only requieres one of the two.

I love Himbo, it's getting more and more bodyslide support over the last year 🤔 It has it's flaws of course and I have never used TNG so I can't compare them to each other. But I think I saw more "exotic" penish addons for it than I saw for himbo. (Talking about all the Futa addons that are now converted to it, like Dragondicks and stuff.) So if you want things like that, TNG would be the way to go instead.

Does HIMBO have schlongs with physics?

Does it work in circumstances I have decribed in OP?

Does it support SLA/SLAX/SLAR/OSL Aroused by getting hard when it needs to?

Does it work properly in SL Animations?

 

If yes, that would enough for me.

Actually, reading through TNG page it seems like TNG is SOS, but better? What I'm reading there suggests that it should "just work (tm)".

I use HIMBO + TNG. Use HIMBO for male body mesh, use TNG for the floppy bit.

 

TNG has a vanilla-shape body replacer but hosts few community preset options. Whereas if you use HIMBO, you open yourself to Obody variation.

I currently use TNG but couldn't get pubis to work. SoS still works out of the box, you need to get the DLL free version though. Himbo has some grotesque body builder presets, so it needs tweaking. Overall, I'd stick with SOS, even though TNG body looks better.

I am not interested in building male body. At least not at the moment. The only thing that interests me is a working floppy bit. If TNG has it, I will go for it. I might revisit HIMBO later, but for now I am overwhelmed by the sheer fact I have to set up everything from scratch. I had forgotten how exhausting that is. I am starting to somewhat understand newbies coming to modding scene. I already know how shit works but I'm still looking at it with dread.

 

I know of OBody, but never used it. I'm not diving into it just now, that is for the future.

Yes, I couldn't get the hair to work, the rest is working just fine. There are also various patches for TNG and different bits on the nexus.

I installed TNG just now and tested it briefly.

 

"IT JUST WORKS (TM)".

 

I'm sticking with it. For now.

HIMBO is a body replacer. It needs SOS or TNG for the schlong.

Some of the people behind HIMBO were/are involved with the SAM body. The HIMBO body has lots of different presets and can be altered in BS to the same extent as a female body.

I use both SOS and HIMBO because I used to have this bulldozer of a follower with me called Faarok The Horse God. He was twice the size of any other (SOS) man in the game.

TNG does not work for me in SexLab Animations on NPCs. I just spent 2 hours trying to find a solution and came out with nothing. All males have a hole instead of a schlong. The only way I can make it reappear is to disable/enable and then unequipall. And then they have a flaccid noodle instead and it doesn't even have collisions. They work fine if stripped, but not in animations.

 

Fuck this shit, I'm going back to SoS Uncloaked. It may not be fancy, but at least it works.

And there we go. Found a proper DLL for 1170 and "it just works (tm)". 

 

Everything's there, the schlong, proper collisions and the ability to distribute all sorts of addons to various races.

 

Fuck TNG and all that new fancy shit.

The No DLL version works but the DLL versions work faster.
