DbleMinded Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014  The idea is great, but unfortunately it's a bit buggy. Animations tend to get a little wonky with positions and as already stated it doesn't seem to work well with housecarls and as others have pointed out, breezehome. Is the mod supported or has the author moved on to bigger and better things? I hope he still works on it as it really is a good idea. There are sex mods aplenty, but not much in the way of romance mods...which is a bummer.  After using it a bit I think the best thing the author could do is get rid of all bed related scripts in the mod. I don't see that they are really necessary for the romance and it seems to be the biggest cause of the crashes/instability and odd things in the mod. When I kiss my spouse it seems to look for the nearest bed or something and if it can't find one in the immediate vacinity it'll stand you on top of the nearest furniture instead and there's really no need for a bed just for a kiss nor is there really any need for one for what may come after. Not to mention the sexlab framework already asks if you want to use a bed if you happen to be near one. I'm no modder so I could be completely off base here, but that's my sense of things. A few fixes and this really could be a great mod   It IS a great mod. I refuse to play without it and it works wonderfully for me with no bugs.   The unfortunate thing is that it means I cannot upgrade sexlab. I use version 139b  The mod author is gone and until some good and learned person comes along to rescue it the mod will only work well dependably with that version of sexlab.  It is very sad that, to my mind, the only truly loving and gentle Skyrim marriage experience in a sea of harsh and violent sexmods is being allowed to go fallow.   Ah, I didn't know that, perhaps that's part of my problem with the mod as I have the latest version of the framework. Unfortunately due to all the difficulties I was having I had to uninstall the mod. But you are right that it seems to be the only even remotely romantic experience here. More purely romantic animations and dialogue are needed. I wish it were the other way around. I would much prefer more romantic mods than all those other mods. Romance is part of the reason I tend to get hooked on Bioware games, mostly the Mass Effect and Dragon Age series.  Â
germanicus Posted June 20, 2014 Posted June 20, 2014 Heads up, who knows what will new SL 1.58 bring when comes out. There is always a hope. Â Since the author of the mod didn't say anything about permission of using (editing) his mod, is anyone willing to write to him asking for permission for editing his mod. Maybe there will be somebody who will be willing to do necessary changes and make it compatible with new SL and all other dependences.
Grimbold the unlovely Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 My recollection is that the Dude Guy gave his permission and blessing for anyone to take up his mantle. Â Like Sidhe, I have not upgraded sexlab from 1.39 because I do not want to lose this mod. I would love it if Gooser of Apropos took it up, since his Apropos mod is the only other mod I cannot live without.
germanicus Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Thanks Grimbold. before I posted my comment, I checked the main page and I couldn't see "free using" of his mod. Anyhow, I wish someone will take it and upgrade it. Did you asked Gooser about this?
Fredfish Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Hi all, Â I'll cut to the bad news... no longer have time to maintain this mod. It was fun to work on but real life calls atm, and the modders that were assisting me with script questions either have no more time or aren't responding. Â So, I give permission to anyone who wants to own this for the future, like add features or whatever. And to anyone else, feel free to do what you like... translate, fix, bug patch, whatever. Â I'm glad that people have enjoyed the mod, but I must go for now. Thanks everyone for plaaying the mod! I hope it can find a good home. Â
germanicus Posted June 21, 2014 Posted June 21, 2014 Thanks Fredish. That's why I couldn't find it on main page, since it was among the posts.
germanicus Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Hi people: I have a good news: ashal is willing to upgrade this mod: Please read this link and gave him a proper informations so that he can fix all issues. Â Â Â http://www.loverslab.com/topic/32988-req-can-anyone-update-spouses-enhanced-to-sexlab-157/?p=828764
Ashal Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 Here's quick run at upgrading it's SexLab usage for v1.50+  I've gone through all the scripts and recompiled them, fixing problems related to SexLab API as I went.  I also fixed a potential infinite loop issue I saw in the mods main script, however note that I'm not looking to maintain or takeover the mod, so any bugs that existed in current version of SpousesEnhanced on SexLab 1.39 are still likely going to exist, assuming the recompile on SexLab 1.57 or infinite loop fix doesn't magically fix it on it's own.  SpousesEnhanced_SexLab_v157.zip  I have no easy means to test if it's all working under SexLab 1.57 now or not, as I have no save file with a spouse or a house. So somebody using 1.57 (or better yet test it using 1.58 beta 2 so I can kill 2 birds with one tester.)  Report back any SpousesEnhanced related errors with a provided debug log, or If all looks okay let me know I'll update the OP with new version.
Spellcustomer Posted June 22, 2014 Posted June 22, 2014 OK, it works fine (have no bugs at all), but it still need to support the Severin manor from Dragonborn DLC. I have very good mod, that makes this particular house very very nice for living. Author, if you read this, please make it work. Let the main bed in this house be supported like "master bed".
Grimbold the unlovely Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Can anyone confirm that Ashal's updated version of SE works fine with SL57?

germanicus Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 Thank you ashal. You already did much. Â So, people, you heard the man. We need testers with 1.57 or even better 1.58beta 2. I'm preoccupied with testings of 2 other mods and can't do it at the moment. I already have Sl 158 beta installed and all I can say, so far it is very stable framework and my testings are running good. Please, if you want to see this mod alive again, cooperate by testing it and report it to ashal. Thank you all.
Sidhe Posted June 23, 2014 Posted June 23, 2014 AAAHH!  I am in the middle of moving and can't play Skyrim!  I swear I will test it as soon as I can get my desktop back and fire it up.   THANK you SO much, Ashal! I want your babies!   If I could play Skyrim with only one mod this would be it.   A million thanks for doing this.  I can't wait to see how it does!   Â
Bertsay Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 TheDudeGuy Hey man. Â Could you (in the next version of this mod) to remove / configure, so the user can remove the special string for other NPC dialogue (you can join me and my wife)? A little frustrating that this line comes out at every conversation.I think the best option would be to make an option on and off this line in the dialogues. Â Thank you, if you will.
JUSSME Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 can you add some consequences for not treating your spouse good. Like debuffs on them, and also the chance they runaway. Maybe a death alternative event where you black out and a your spouse leaves you a note saying she left you for a better one with a quest to  either kill the guy, get your wife back using the intimidate skill, with a chance she will eiher be hostile/runaway or get your spouse back through finding unique gifts/ speech skills? Also maybe random Death alternative quest where your spouse is kidnapped and you have to save them in a locked dungeon or something where they get sold of as a sex slave. Lind of Like spartacus And if you are good to your spouse they also get combat buffs as well. With the option that they can go shop for items and meet you back at home or whatever location you mark. Maybe randomly surprise you with gifts, even weapons, armors, ect. Chances Rewarding you with weapons based on your skill level for those weapons/armors. These could be implemented probably with EFF mod extensible followers framework. Has the ability to send followers to harvest for materials.

Read up, author it's gone.  The only form of update this mod recived its Ashal's patch for SexLab 1.57 ++.  Apart from that, don't expect updates or bugfixes that only will happen if someone takes over the mod.
tetaniBellus Posted June 24, 2014 Posted June 24, 2014 Is there any way of adding the Spouses Enhanced dialogue options to Spouses from other mods( such as Interesting NPCs)?
dpaidmdpy Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 A couple questions. First, is spouses enhanced incompatible with any other mods? Also is there a specific place it should go in load order? The reason i ask is because I Â married lydia and whenever I choose any response from the my love chat options the game crashes. Â I put it last among all sexlab mods in mod organizer. thanks again
RDKateran Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 There's some light (read: non-fatal) incompatibility with some of Lover's Comfort's spouse-related features, but you can turn them off in LC's MCM menu, IIRC, so you don't actually have to get rid of the mod or mess around with its scripts to make it compatible. Said incompatibility shouldn't crash your game though.
Fordwars Posted June 26, 2014 Posted June 26, 2014 I love this mod, and haven't had any compatibility issues with any other SL mod and everything seems to work fine with 1.57.  I did however have compatibility issues with other mods, namely UFO, Spouses can live anywhere, and My Home is Your Home.  Using these mods pretty much killed all the dialogue for spouses.  I figured out the issues, and I'll post here just in case anyone else has had these problems.  - Load Order:  UFO/MHYH should be before any/all of your custom followers.  Spouses Enhanced (SE) should be second to last in the load order, and Spouse can live anywhere (SLA) should be the last mod (right after SE)  - Used NMM to disable (uncheck) UFO, MHYH, and SLA, leaving Spouses Enhanced alone to start  - Married Spouse, and moved her into a "Normal" player home (aka: Breezhome, Vlindren Hall, etc.)  - At this point SE should work like a champ (what a great Mod), verify everything is good.  Save and exit game.  - Back to NMM and activated SLA.  Logged back into game and made spouse follow and brought her to custom home.  Activate SLA in game (Marked new home), tell her you want to move her through dialogue, and dismiss her.  Again, verify that SE is still working properly (It should be).  Just remember that your custom player home has to have a bed that SE can actually read and make a Master.  If everything is good, create a new save, and exit.  - At this point you should be able to activate UFO and MHYH, and it wont interfere with SE....**BUT**...you can't use these mods on your spouse.  I was able to bring other followers to my home and manipulate them with UFO/MHYH.  However, if I used any of those mod dialogues on my spouse, it broke the SE dialogue.  For example, when I tried to  use UFO to change my spouses default clothes, it broke SE.  Ultimately, its not a big deal since she changes into sexy clothes everytime I come home, lol.  - I used Riverside Lodge as my custom home, and have SE working perfectly on my Spouse and two other followers dressed slooty and living in my house.    If this is all known info then I apologize, I couldn't slog through the 43 pages of posts, lol.  Hopefully if theres anyone else having any of these issues, this will help.  Cheers! Â
rangedphoenix Posted June 27, 2014 Posted June 27, 2014 So I take it nobody has formally decided to pick up where TDG left off? I've been considering doing a continuation of it myself... But I'm going to be super busy in the next couple of weeks. If somebody else doesn't want to pick things up in the few weeks it will take before I get used to my new job, I'll give it a shot.
