ant123 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Been using this mod for a while now and it's pretty good. Lately though the game is crashing so often that it's unplayable. I don't know if it's a mod incompatibility issue or what. I completely deleted Skyrim and did a fresh install. Then installed mods with NMM. Everything was fine for a while at lest. Now I getting all sorts of bugs and crashes. In Whiterun a couple of NPC get stuck in one spot. They try to walk but go no where fast. A new problem has started with sex animation. Their dick and balls don't move - at all. When the rest of them move they don't. Looks really weird when they turn around and/or change position when their dick doesn't move with them. Also, when sex starts the game as a 50/50 change of working or crashing. Sometimes it'll just drop back to the desktop, while others it'll just lockup and freeze. Not to mention saved gamed not working. Half the time when I save and then try to continue later it just drops back to the desktop and I'm forced to load an older save. This is happening all the time now and it's making this unplayable. I'm using the latest Sexlab, Spouses Enhanced, FNIS, SOS and there's more mods too. As I said don't if it's an incompatibility issue.
ddraggy Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 It sounds like a load order/corrupted save/dirty mod/bad install issue to me rather than something directly related to Spouses Enhanced. Have you got your load order organized using BOSS as a starting point? Have you cleaned the mods that needed cleaning using TES5Edit? Are you using the memory patch? Is everything installed in the right place? Have you got mods that sound incompatible (or flat out say they're incompatible) installed at the same time? Did you run FNIS? It got updated recently and it's a good idea to run it again. Lots of stuff can cause crashing. It may be better to fix all of the above and start a new game.
River65 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 River, I am not 100% sure, but I am almost certain (I have certainly read) that SE and LC are incompatible mods. They would certainly compete for the lover's comfort feature. Just a heads up! You might be setting yourself up for grief if you have both mods installed. Thanks for the heads up Grimbold. I haven't had any issues yet, both seem to be working - spouse approaches, etc. in enhanced, and potential lover stats change in comfort. I haven't gotten to the point where 'my spouse' has taken on a lover, so if there is an issue it might be with comfort. I suppose I could test it out and leave my spouse at the luxury suite to see what happens... I do think I read somewhere that an incompatibility exists between the wake up animation/masturbation on sleep. In order for the wake up animation to work in enhanced, you have to turn off the masturbation on sleep in comfort, or vice versa. I will keep an eye out though for anything peculiar.
kotaku44 Posted March 10, 2014 Posted March 10, 2014 Hey TDG i hope you can help me my animations won't work when i try to do something they stand still then they just skip it like if you were crouching and i did they would stand up as they would after any animation and other animations is working well my FNIS is working well in the load order it is at highest at is can get i have the serena version the load order is right and my spouse isn't serena just so you know i started a new save after i installed didn't work so please help me i want to play your awesome mod

SE is better in my view because it does not have that feature. First, there would be no duplicates. It's a feature, not a mod. Second, the idea I wrote about is way different and better than what LC does. Third, I really don't know why on earth a mod should be better with less proper features. Fourth, I like this mod more. And the two mods are totally different . @most-wanted: I don't know what you mean by "less proper features". Apologies if English is not your first language. As for your other points, you might well be right (and I think you almost certainly are right) to think that TDG could create a better cheating mod than anything else currently on offer, but it would be very different from the mod we all know and love. The decision is of course TDG's, but I hope that any cheating feature (should it be implemented) will be optional (toggled on and off in MCM). The difficulty I had with Lovers Comfort was that it became boring and predictable for my spouse to leap into the sack with A.N. Other (it did not seem to matter who that person was) whenever I entered the house (even when I entered with her). It was just unbelievable (as well as unromantic). Maybe TDG would do it better, but even a well executed cheating feature would take something away from SE imho. Of course the decision is TDG's. Based on past experience I would have every confidence in whatever decision he makes. Hi Grimbold, with "proper feature" I meant something that (in my opinion) is suited to the theme of the mod (yes, not my 1st language ) Anyway TDG seems to think it wouldn't be a fun\interesting addition, so don't worry. (I thought of it in a believable\semi-realistic fashion of course, to add some more randomness and choices\consequences...nothing like LC)

All I have installed at the moment is the base framework, this mod obviously and also radiant prostitution tweaked version. I'm trying to keep stuff to a minimum so am looking for the cleanest/minimalist mod to add that allows pregnancy that wont conflict or cause headaches, my install of the games finally semi-stable (touch wood) after about a year or two of testing mods so the least impact is preferable. The reason I'm asking within this mods thread is for a few reasons, primarily because it deals with spouses directly, secondly its one of the two I'm already using, excluding the base framework and lastly I figure people using this may already have what I'm looking for and can suggest something. Searching the framework forums for the word 'pregnant' didn't reveal a huge amount so I apologize if its right in front of me and I missed it.

No major bugs that I have noticed yet, but I do have a couple of observations (not complaints) about potential minor glitches (not necessarily caused by SE itself): 1) With this update, as with the previous ones, my Affection Ranking was set back to zero. Not a problem, as it is easy to set it back to 4 (not a cheat, since I had earned that 4). Just something to watch for when you update. 2) I was alarmed to see that I had lost the "my love" dialogue after updating. But then I remembered my earlier problems with AFT and changed the load order back to what it was a couple of weeks ago: AFT before SE in load order. Once I did that, the dialogue returned. I am not sure what the root of this problem is, but I have always been able to solve it by reversing the load order of these two mods. If anyone else uses AFT, this advice might come in handy. 3) There was no swim suit in my spouse's swim suit drawer (no complaints there, since I prefer skinny dipping!), but she ignored my invitation to go swimming until I added something to that drawer. As soon I added a circlet she plunged into the waves. Lovely choice of animations before and during swim. 4) Spouse would only go on vacation when she was not following me. I assume this is intentional and not a bug. Is that right? 5) Since the last update of SE I have lost the vanilla dialogues to share profits from the store and to cook a home-cooked meal. Has anyone else had this experience? Not a big deal. Even if the loss is SE-related (and I am not certain that it is) it is a good trade-off. So far a fantastic addition to a magnificent mod. There is something a little incongruous about the choice of vacation site if your main residence is Lakeview Manor (it's a bit like going on holiday in your backyard), but the scenery is lovely. I hope that TDG will eventually add a second vacation site (the hot springs near Riften are an obvious choice). Thank you so much, Dude Guy, for giving us what must surely be one of the best Skryim mods ever made. Oh, and great idea to add Arrok's missionary to the menu of relaxing acts. Arrok's huggng would be nice too! Brilliant work. Dude, thanks for the fantastic mod. Could someone please tell me approximately how long it takes in game time to reach level 4 affection? All my animations work great. I use sexchat and aroused but it just seems that gaining affection takes well I haven't gained any in 4 rl days of playing on and off for several hours. Still at level 0. When I use sexlab romance, npc affection sometimes raises 2 levels in one night of partying. Am I doing anything wrong? Married to Ysolda. Thanks

SE messed that up onmass. i think i have only the dawnguard errors, but no, over 1000 rows only from SE. i think thats not normal: http://pastebin.de/42168 what can i do to reduce the errors? i cant life with that so many conflicts. i post here my loadorder. eventually i have incompatible mods installed: http://pastebin.de/42170 €: i play with cleaned master files

Have you tried starting a new game? It's pretty hard to tell what's wrong with it without knowing if it's a mod error issue, mod install issue, and/or corrupt save. Reinstalling Skyrim wouldn't help with that. Seeing your mod list might be helpful too, but post all that stuff on the tech support forum instead of in this thread. You'll get more help that way. I don't think your crashes have anything to do with Spouses Enhanced.

It would be amazing if you could actually write to her, but at the very least from a roleplaying perspective, the idea that you are sending her a letter sounds great in my opinion. Otherwise it could end up making the relationship feel one sided.

If spouse is in Riften and you are in Solitude, you might arrange to meet in Whiterun (at your Breezehome residence, say). You could also stipulate what outfit she would wear and what acts might follow upon entry. 2) in early stages of marriage (before affection rises to 4) letters might help to raise affection level so it advances even when you are apart (professions of love to raise affection; negligence or tactless letters to lower it) 3) further to 1) you could arrange a vacaton rendezvous 4) letters mgiht unlock other features, such as animations or wardrobe items ("Dear [NPC], this is a difficult subject to broach, but have you ever considered anal?") 5) letters might help to initiate threesomes. At present the spouse has no say in whether a threesome happens, or who it happens with. Letters might be a means of negotiating this important step, and it need not be just the player who takes the initiative. The spouse (whom I imagine to be female, but might be male) could propose a specific candidate: "Honey, I want to make love to you and Jordis at the same time. Can you make that happen? Seduce her . . . for my sake . . . please? I'll make it worth your while" 6) This is ambitious, but letters might be tied into vanilla quests. 7) further to 5, letters might be used to accomplish what is now impossible: threesomes (maybe even foursomes?) with married people. TDG clearly wants to discourage threesomes with married people ("O, you are married! Sorry!") and I can see why he would do that. But there are some married people who are clearly aching for an affair. Think Anneke in Dark Water Crossing (Werner used to excite me, but now he's a milkdrinker) or that dark elf in Riften (if you are looking for company I guess I could do worse). It is as if Bethesda set these characters up (and others besides, such as Nazim's wife in Whiterun) for modders to make adultery mods. Not contextless, random sex, but real adulterous relationships. TDG has said he is not interested in cheating, which might kill this idea before it even begins (and I would respect his decision), but cheating on one's own spouse is one thing. Working with her (or him) to get someone else to cheat on their spouse (by humping the two of you) is something else entirely. My idea (taking cues in the vanilla game) is to have the player and spouse cheat together by seducing a married person into a threesome. Letters could play a role in that.

I'm glad to see that my simple idea can actually be used to expand the whole role playing part of the relationship. I really like the one about designating vacations through mail, seems like a good way to have a homesick pc meet their spouse. When I originally posted my idea, it was more or less like your second idea. I thought that replying with a letter could be used to improve the relationship and the lack or replies could either madden or worry the spouse.

raskolnikova Posted March 14, 2014 Posted March 14, 2014 Hi, I seem to have a problem with this mod. For some reason my spouse will always, always refuse to cuddle if I ask them at affection level 4. Never once had them say yes. They will always agree to have sex and about 75% of the time agree to kiss. Is there a reason for this, or is it a bug? Thanks

Going to look through my mods to see what's conflicting, but if anyone's already had this and figured it out a heads up would be great. oddly the kissing stuff works fine ..it's just the actual spously duties
4nk8r Posted March 15, 2014 Posted March 15, 2014 I've been having random CTD's when loading saves, fast travelling and entering/exiting buildings. I enabled logging and can see an insane amount of papyrus log output related to this mod. I know that doesn't necessarily mean this mod is causing my problems, but it's the "loudest" thing in my logs. I've enabled HEAP settings in SKSE, run BOSS, used TESView and TESEdit to resolve and reorder mods to eliminate conflicts and build merged patches, built BASH patches, etc. Nothing so far has prevented the CTD's. I've included a small snippit of the logs for your review. Out of a 45 minute play session, I have a 12MB papyrus log and the majority of the output appears related to this mod's function calls. I don't have a spouse yet (I started a new game with this mod enabled), so I'm going to disable this mod for now and see how things go. I'll report back on whether or not it made a difference. BTW, I have Lovers Comfort installed as well. I didn't read through all 30 pages of the forum, so perhaps it's already been determined there is a fatal conflict? Sharing a bottle of wine would be nice too, but we are now talking about animations and TDG has never claimed to be an animator. There might be some possibilities to use other people's (non sexual) animations though. The cannabis mod has some great animations that might work well in SE, for couples who are into that. Dancing would also work very well. AFT includes some nice dance animations. One simple thing that would add a lot of atmosphere is music. Either music of TDG's choice, or a means to upload our own. There is a fine music mod for BBLS and nexus has another mod that can convert MP#s and audio files to the skyrim format (xml or something). I can provide links if anyone is interested. Nexus has some good music mods, including a great one of authentic medieval music for taverns. There seems to be compatibility issues with BBLS, not sure if this has been discussed yet. Issues are: Cannot "gaze invitingly" or initiate sex with spouse unless spouse is a follower and "we can rest here" option is chosen. No access to spouse's drawers. (pardon the pun) Cannot set master bed (lover's sanctuary spell) in luxury suite unless spouse lives there. (is AI spouse) Is there any way to make the two compatible? This would allow for music and dancing, a wide pool to choose from for those interested in threesomes and a great boost for spouse arousal levels...

I have been using both mods without obvious mishap ever since SE came out. I get "gaze invitingly", have access to spouse's drawers (in every sense) when I am at a home that SE recognizes. I get a different sex initiating line (something about "it's been a while") when I set camp using AFT. That said, it is indeed the case that SE will not let me set BBLS bed as master bed. It is also the case that I do not recognize the "we can rest here" line, which makes me wonder if there are parts of SE I am not seeing due to my having BBLS installed. Just what is "we can rest here"? a line you get when adventuring or in the spousal home?
