Hey ermm i have no idea if anyone is still here but i have a problem when i have the this "hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP" file in my folder it makes my game lag like hell, i mean i cant even get into whiterun without the game crying. Yet when i take it out its all happy and smiles. So a recall of whats going on, 1 al my animasions work and the collisions work on the player but not the NPC's. So if anyone could help at all that would be great thanks.

If you're using XPMSE 2.0 and up you need to change the npc prebelly in the xml to HDT belly. http://www.loverslab.com/topic/25971-xp32-maximum-skeleton-extended/

Also, if you've got RS children that'll give you that problem too. Floating around is a modified skeleton for those pesky lil npc children so they don't give you the errors in your hdt log and lag your game out.

I don't believe collisions work on the NPCs.

Soooo ummmm... I'm not exactly sure if my problem is related to this or not, but after downloading this and the HDT version of XPMS skeleton, I started getting thrashing boobs. Could I get some help on this? They're rather distracting. And it doesn't happen to everyone, only a select couple of ladies per game session. Of course quitting out the entire game stops it (usually). Also, I'm using the 10-24 version of HDT. I'm using UNPB BBP bodies.

It's most probably a hardware limitiation if it doesn't consistently happen to the same npc's and/or it happens in crowded areas where lots of female npc's are.

There are a few tweaks you can try some tweaks to get some better performance:

http://www.loverslab.com/topic/27409-basic-installation-things-dont-look-right-at-all/?p=687363

I also use a UNPB T/BBP body, have a male player character and have had no performance issues before i tried your .xml file. I just replaced my own (gladly backing up my pior one, thank DIBELLA!) with yours and loaded my last save on White Run market at noon, getting MASSIVE performance hits. Even going into the Bannered Mare doesnt do much good. I also tried to optimize my Skyrim.ini for Havok (I have 8 threads), but it does not change anything. So, I hope you can fix this but its useless for me.

These XML's do not contain the name change to make them work with XPMSE 2.05+

Change 'NPC Pre-Belly' to 'HDT Belly' to get the files working again.

I'm running into a problem when trying to use this version of hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml.

When I run this one, my framerate drops DRAMATICALLY (5-10FPS) and the log file shows that everything is loading fine except the following error message is repeated many, many times:

[02/15/14 19:03:48]WARNING: Cannot bind bone : NPC PreBelly - bone doesn't exist

[02/15/14 19:03:48]ERROR: Illegal hkx file : NPC PreBelly - Fixed/Keyframed body without binding!

I'm using the latest XP32 extended skeleton and TPSB CBBE (which includes scaling pregnancy bellies), and when I use another version of the hdtPhysicsExtensionsDefaultBBP.xml file (can't remember where I got it from but it's only 70k as opposed to this one's 207k) everything runs very smoothly with all collisions and bounces happening normally.

Does this version of the file not play nicely with TPSB CBBE?  I'm not sure where I might have gone wrong otherwise.

Hmm...

The prebelly bone not being found is an error related to your skeleton.

Make sure that you fully replace Groovtama's XPMSE skeleton for ALL your custom races and followers (they sometimes have seperate directories and such)

Basically this file is an All-In-One, it you point the nifs to this file instead of hdt.xml to get the collision data.

As for your framerates, you can try mitigating it by using setting up your skyrim.ini to have the correct number of processor threads for the Havok physics engine.

But yea, Havok physics is entirely CPU dependant, and when you start mixing with ENB's you are going to see a good amount of performance impact. Especially if your screen's trying to render heavily populated areas with lots of women...

I wonder if I can pull up this older question and ask for help, Blabba?  I have the very latest Groovetama XP32 extended skeleton as of this evening. I have the very latest Daie hdtPhysicsExtentionsDefaultBBP.XML. In game they work fine - I have belly wobble. But the game is being hit by slow FPS due to a problem with it. The HDTPhysicsExtensions.log is absolutely filled with this warning:

[10/26/14 21:53:51] ERROR: Illegal hkx file : NPC Belly - fixed/Keyframed body without binding!

[10/26/14 21:53:51] WARNING: Cannot bind bone : NPC Belly - bone doesn't exist

Ad-nauseam. And I can't even spot an obvious offender in the load order in this data. Now I understand this may be due to an additional incorrect skeleton lurking somewhere in an NPC / follower. But running a search of ALL my data directories shows no other skeleton apart from the Meshes/Actor/Character/Character Assets skeleton.nif, and the range of skeleton.nifs for the Skyrim creatures, and also a   _1stPerson.

Further, you appear to mention that NIF files need to "point" to the correct skeleton. Now I can see the Belly Node in femalebody_0 and femalebody_1 NIF files. But if these need to be pointed to the right skeleton, which line do I edit to do that? Or is that being too far off the mark, and the answer simpler?

I'd be most grateful for a reply because this belly node failure just slows my game down. If I could get to the bottom of it, it wouldmean a lot to me in learning let along game play.

UPDATE - I have noticed some of my custom followers have a "female_skeleton.nif" in their folders. Could these be the culprits? Looking at the nifs they look very similar to the generic Groovetama skeleton.

Thank you.

If you read the description of the mods you install, you would know by now.

Read the nice big yellow text on Groovtama's Skeleton page it tells you what you need to do.

Oh.  Slow dawn of understanding creeps across this 55-year old's non-techie face.  OK Blabba, you didn't answer my question but you made me THINK! Thank you.  I got it now. And that's the best kind of learning!  I expect this will all work OK now once I've done a bit of copying and pasting!

I give up. looked through Groovetama's skeleton files, noted all the correct skeleton files, and went and made sure ALL of mine were up to date. It made no difference. Maybe the XML file is a load of tripe.  Getting the belly node to work is NOT worth this hassle.

It's literally 1 scroll wheel down:

Attention: HOW TO FIX LOW FPS OR BROKEN HDT AFTER UPDATING TO 2.0+:

TO USE XPMSE 2.0+ WITH AN OLD HDT XML FOR 1.9, YOU HAVE TO RENAME "NPC PreBelly" IN YOUR HDT XML TO "HDT Belly"!

Thanks but actually I have already done that. At no point do I have NPC PreBelly in my XML. This is what is driving me nuts! I have an up to date XML with HDT Belly, I have Groovetama's LATEST skeleton, I have checked all the skeletons in NPC / Followers and they are all using the Groovetama skeleton set. Yet I get a log full of this problem. I'll continue searching for any outstanding skeletons. Any suggestions welcome.

Is there an XML that you could directly point me to that you are positive will work? I am using Dairemonic's latest as of this month.

Thank you

Good to hear from you, Groovetama. Your work is awesome!

But I am sorry I don't understand? I use your latest 2.13 and my character is a vanilla Nord, no custom species. I use CBBE v3.3 HDT Body.

Do you mean I should use another skeleton?

Posted

No you use some inferior skeleton either on your character or some NPCs or whatever you try to run HDT PE on and thus HDT throws errors.

Hi Groovetama

I use only your XP32 maximum extended version 2.13.

However, I have discovered 3 followers using other skeletons that I have now replaced with yours! :)   Blabba will nod wisely.

The errors are now gone.  :D

Thank you Blabba and Groovetama. The sole cause of all my pain turned out to be 3 follower mods. I unpacked the BSAs and replaced the skeletons with the correct one, and repacked the BSAs. The errors have now stopped.

I really appreciate your time and help!

One final question: do either of you know a "proper" XML file that is right for the Groovetama skeleton? I altered the one I downloaded and it worked (apart from the follower problem above), Any link to good XMLs would be much appreciated.

THANK YOU!!!

is it normal to lose fps while using this extension? after hours of figuring out why my game lags like hell i finally found out that this hdt extension was the one that made my game lag. it lags only in cities or i think when facing an npc. when i switch to my older extension i didn't get any fps drop but whenever i use this it really lags making my game almost unplayable. are there any workaround to this as i really want to use this one for that belly distortion or am i stuck using the default one cuz my rig isn't powerful enough  :(
