Need help getting set up. Mod Organizer, Anniversary Edition.

Been a long while since I've played with Sex & Nudity mods, pre-AE at least. Since then I know some things have been discontinued, broken, or just haven't aged well.

Started with getting OStim and it's requirements, and it's requirement's requirements. Though with the scattered information I've gathered, OSex is no longer required (and there was some drama with it?). It also asked me to get both FOREs and Nemesis, which I remember being somehow incompatible? Even then, I don't know how to Install them in Mod Organizer and their Nexus pages don't tell me much.

As for bodies, I remember that Schlongs of Skyrim broke and I never figured the right way to fix it (I was watching a page about it, but it disappeared?). What's the up to date method for installing it?

Anything else I should know? Are there any good tutorials? Any Discords I can join for help & info? Alternatives?

The tutorials I've come across mostly seem to be their own modlists/overhauls, which I am not interested in. Just want to put together a sandbox fuck about.

With so much conflicting or outdated information I've come across hopefully someone can sort it out for me.

As far as I'm ware, LoversLab is not associated with the O-mods. There's probably a Discord channel specifically for these. That said though, there seems to be people here that know a thing or 2 about them.

Nemesis doesn't do creatures. To get everything working you have to bounce between FNIS and Nemesis in a specific order and move some files around. Pandora is supposed to fix that, but in order to use Pandora right now you sort of have to go through a catalogue of problems, and pick the one that bothers you the least. 2.7 has broken canines, 2.4 has draugrs turning into slendermen but at least the dogs have animations, and so on.

Install like any other mod. Add their executables as tools in MO2, like any other tool installed in MO2.

The option to place files created by the tool in a specific mod does not do what people think it does. It does literally what it says on the checkbox. The keyword is "NEW": existing files are not NEW files.

That's probably because as game updates kept coming out it kept breaking SOS. The author of SOS left at some point. A dll-less version was released, followed by a few scattered version-specific patched dlls. SOS (with dll) works just fine with 1.6.1170.0.

The version NUMBER of your game, and the version NUMBER of SKSE. The rest is a matter of exploration, experimentation and modding.

Up to date? Probably not. If I was to start modding Skyrim today, I'd grab a few YouTube videos of playthroughs (not the clickbait "next-gen graphics" videos). Get the mod lists from the ones that publish them. Do a cross-reference to find mods "everyone" is using. If one video has nice mountains, pick the mountain mod from that one. Pick the nice shoes from the other, the butterflies from the 3rd.

Do a run with this baseline, then start turning it into "you". Before you know it 5 years will have gone by, and you're still here, wondering which texture you want use for river pebbles.

We may appear crazy, but I swear most of us are pefectly sane most of the time.

Rumour is there's plenty of closed-off communities. I prefer the public ones. The soul of modding is lost when money and access enters the picture.

You forget that this game is 14 years old. Some people, like me, have worked on their mod lists for 14 years minus a couple of weeks. While I tend to not gatekeep too much of what I know and have done, I think you'd have to pay me quite a lot for me to dump the entire thing as-is on a public network share. People that don't want to put in the effort pay Nexus for access to Collections, install a "cool" mod list, then pop up here on LL a week later wondering why nothing is working after they added SexLab.

So there's probably 2 ways of doing this. You get a baseline from someone else for a jump start, then put in the years yourself to understand, expand and mold it into what you want it to be, or you take the Xbox Store -approach and forgo the creative freedom.

You need to know the version of your game exe, and the version of your skse install. With these 2 you got dlls covered. Everything else is sorted out with your mod manager and xEdit. When it comes to all the other content, SE and AE you can mix freely unless it has something to do with CC content. LE content you want to stay out of completely until you know what you're doing.
