I have no idea what happened. I completely scrubbed the sd card in my flashcart clean, completely reinstalled all the firmware from scratch, and it still wouldn't load the ROMs. The Twilight menu thing was loading up, but it just would not run any roms. By messing around with various buttons, I eventually brought up a settings menu, and by messing around in there, I finally got it to load the ROM. I have no idea what any of this means, but it seems to be changing a setting from Bootstrap to Kernal. Also, this setting didn't work until after I reinstalled the Twighlight menu thing. I have no idea what happened, but I'm just glad I can finally play it again. Also, I did try a few other DS roms just to test it, and as long as I switch them to Kernal node, they all work too. So hopefully I'll be able to play future hacks you guys develop, too. The only catch is that the flash won't recognize GB or GBA roms, anymore, but I can live with that. I have other means of playing those kinda of games.

 

Now it's just a matter of how quickly I can get to that Palmer battle.

Perhaps this will make it clear. The second I step off the elevator, everyone's clothes reappear. And I am using 7.3.6.

huh. Maybe because it's a cutscene? Idk why them walking in the hallway would be a pre-rendered cutscene like Spear Pillar.
Are there any parts where you are able to walk around as clothed Dawn/Lucas?

I walk through the hallway to the room where I battle people. Both in the hallway and in the room, everyone's clothes are back. I don't think thats considered a cutscene.

I kept the orange scarf to differentiate these from Platinum Dawn (since her entire coat and scarf were removed) and because DP Dawn's other sprites already keep a scarf, so consistency is kept.

 

 

 

This also means that Cynthia from Diamond and Pearl is the only female sprite remaining, and all she needs is for her foot to be fixed.

 

 

Which fo Cynthias feet needs improvement? I did fix her thighs tho

I edited both of Cynthia's feet as well as tried one more time to fix the NPC policeman penis. Also Cyrus (whose boner privelages have also been revoked), Palmer, and Barry back sprite done

I'm thinking that the messed up names might just be an unavoidable consequence of the Classic version of the patch.

In the others, they won't be there. I still have no idea what's causing that.

 

I'm honestly really upset that the overworld sprites for the battle frontier aren't working. Artists spent so much time on them!!!!!

At least the battle sprites still work, so that work didn't go to waste.

I have no clue why this is happening.

Oh boy, it's all coming together!!

Palmer and Cyrus are perfect, and the Policeman's dick definitely looks better.

I don't really like the gap with no black pixels on Barry's intro back sprite, but that may just be a me thing.

I think Cynthia's leg and foot may need an overhaul. What if you tried to make it look like the foot was facing either forward or the same direction as the other foot? Idk. I definitely do like the new shading you gave her legs and her left foot.

 

Cynthia is a deceptively hard sprite to get right. There's no wonder Platinum Cynthia had so many edits over time. Maybe I'm just being too much of a stickler for her. I just want to show respect for the champion.

 

Also, feel free to edit Barry's Platinum intro sprite as well, to make both of them more consistent. The only major difference should be the hand placements and the expression.

I did post a fix for Lucian's leg a little while back that isn't included. And maybe I'm alone in this, but I can't see any major problems with Cynthia's legs anymore.

Once all the sprites are done, they'll release different versions, including a females nude only version.

I think I'm willing to concede on Cynthia. She looks good! I'm definitely just being too particular.

Also you're right, I didn't see the newest Lucian. Those legs do look better.

 

My want with Lucian is more around his butt area.

I just don't think it flows as well as the Platinum sprites, which may just be because he's doing his pose from a totally different angle.

But if you think it looks good, I'm fine with leaving it.

I was praying on someone else doing it since the overworld sprites are far from my comfort zone, but I thought I'd just try it anyway. The finish line is in sight...

I think the issue is probably from how the back leg doesn't follow through in line with the butt, which makes it look a little odd. I hope it's okay that I edited it a little (but ofc personmcguy let me know if you don't want me to step on your toes!)

That looks better to me! I'll accept it.

Now, all that's left is Barry. (And then any sprites I may have missed. I won't know for sure until I go into Diamond and Pearl's code in Tinke)
