We are. But, we're waiting until all sprites have been edited for it.

Why yes, Quan, there is still work that needs to be done, though we are definitely in the homestretch.

1. For a start, everything green on the progress sheet still needs edits. What's left is mostly the Diamond and Pearl exclusives, but there are five Platinum sprites left.
2. A bunch of overworld sprites need completion. This is where the bulk of the sprites are.
3. I've started on Dawn's Diamond and Pearl overworld sprites, but a frame of her walking sprite and a frame of her running sprite seem to have been changed more for Platinum, so they need a more experienced editor.
4. And of course, if you ever see any more sprites that need edits, please feel free to edit them.

I'm sorry, at this point, that is a bit too much to ask. It'd be a lot more work.

We can't be Pigment Ruby. Also, be sure you're mentioning the right nude emerald. There are three of those.

Understandable, we will take what we can get, thank you and those involved for your hard work.

 

And I was talking about Emerald X, the one where almost all npc trainers had been replaced by a nude female model, including all members in both Team magma and Aqua.

I decided to make viewing what needs done on the overworld sheet a little easier.

Now, only unedited sprites keep their backgrounds. We can clearly see that only 50 npcs are unedited.

This is so useful for the people we count on for edits, since they can now tell that any background other than white means its not edited.

This just adds minor updates to Dawn's overworld sprites and fixes Cheryl's overworld sprites so that she's not clothed for one of them.

That's what my hacks are for.

I'm into scenarios where the MC is the only one nude so I make hacks where only the main character is naked and NPCs would actually react to the nudity.

(Although there is an option to have only sprite changes with no dialogue edits if you prefer.)

 

However, the only hack I made for Gen 4 is one that only makes the male character nude for Diamond so if you want female, someone here would have to do the job instead since I'm busy with something else.

I'm just prioritising on finishing an update for Bare Red/Blue and Yellow. I only need to edit the dialogue in Celadon City and it should be all ready after testing.

I got another mod update for a non-Pokemon game that I'm planning on releasing soon as well, but my time is also being taken by SFW projects that I want to catch up on.

Has anyone else had small glitches with the newest patch? Some trainers names aren't displaying correctly and Roark's feet glitched out when I fought him.

Sorry for the silence. I was gonna start doing things, but then a neighbor asked me to watch their cat while she did tribal obligations. Then my own cat stopped eating and started throwing up several times a day, and she's 16 years old, so I kinda dropped everything for a while to take care of her. She's fully recovered now, thankfully.
 

Doesn't look like there's really anything left that I can help with anyway, though. Kinda just hackerman stuff left, from the looks of it.

I did do some sprite fixing on my Elona NPC sheet to get back into the swing of things, but then GIMP randomly decided that it doesn't care how colors work anymore, so after fighting with it for an hour, I left an angry rant about it on the subReddit and gave up.

Still have no idea what the fuck is wrong with it. I would color dropper a pixel, then paint that exact pixel with the exact color that I just copied, and it would turn that pixel a different color. But then that same color would work properly on another layer. Nothing I do fixed it. After five minutes of working on that layer, it suddenly decided that the colors on that layer aren't real anymore. Opening the image in its own project didn't work either. Can't even use Paint to sidestep it, because Paint no longer zooms in far enough to work on sprites. Paint 3D is absolutely useless, so that didn't help either. Was not having a good time, to put it lightly.

So I hope that doesn't happen again!

I'm glad your cat is feeling better. I totally get you taking a break for her. I'd take a break if my dogs weren't feeling well too.

Also, you're right. I changed the wording of them. You should delete that part of your response now.

 

I mean, there's still some stuff left. I whipped up this "needed edits" image after I read your message.

It's mostly just overworld sprites at this point.

I hope GIMP starts working again. But if it doesn't, I'd reccomend getting "MS Paint Classic."

It works like the original Paint, but you can still zoom in. The only error I've had with it is that sometimes when you use the fill tool on 1x1 pixels, it fills in the entire horizontal line for one reason.

Of course, the free version of Aseprite is also a helpful supplement to make sure you're working with palettes correctly and not adding too many extra colors.

Ah, okay. Thanks for the heads-up. I've been playing more, and the only other oddity is that a Dustox was packing Blaze Kick for some reason. It was kind of a jump scare, tbh. ^_^;

I personally use Paint dot Net for my sprite work. Because it is completely free. 😂 I have no prior spriting experience but I was able to use the software with ease and I'm pretty sure it has every bit of settings and tools that I need when working on our sprites.

I just downloaded Aseprite since I saw it listed on sale on Steam. I might start tinkering with it and learn how to use it before I get back and start working on our remaining sprite again. I have been gone for a while now due to so many personal errands. 😅

Everyone's throwing around program recommendations so I will too. I use Asperite on my PC and Procreate with a pixel brush on my iPad. I find it a lot simpler to use my iPad since I don't have a drawing tablet. It's not a new one, but works just fine and has an apple pencil. As much as I hate Apple, this is good for drawing.
